Born Into Villain's Family: I Have a 200\% Rebate System-Chapter 109: First Love
Chapter 109: Chapter 109: First Love
Theodore then held her hand and asked softly,
"Aurora, if you were still here, maybe you would have patted my back and told me about all those not-so-memorable roles that you have remembered by heart.
I want to hear it from your mouth once again, please...please Aurora, please wake up and just once pat your big brother’s back, he is truly sad today..."
A tear dropped on motionless Aurora’s hand today and she realized how much her seemingly happy brother was suffering.
Aurora blinked away the tears and took a deep breath.
Now wasn’t the time to think about the past.
She raised her hand and knocked on the door.
The sound of sobs stopped abruptly and after a while, Theodore’s calm voice sounded,
"I am changing my clothes, come back late."
Aurora however didn’t leave, she knocked on the door again, this time more persistently.
"I said I am changing my clothes!" Theodore shouted, his voice was filled with unsaid sadness.
Aurora’s heart softened before she said in a sweet voice,
"Brother open the door, otherwise I will have to break it!"
There was silence for a long while before Theodore’s voice sounded again.
"Then just break it! It’s not like a weak chicken who has just been discharged from the hospital today can become Superman."
Aurora: "..." How uncute!
"Did you just call me weak chicken? Then...then you are a stubborn donkey!"
A faint chuckle came from inside, but the door remained closed.
Aurora sighed and leaned her forehead against the door, her voice softening.
"Brother, I know what happened at the audition. You don’t have to hide from me. Let me in."
There was a long pause before the sound of hesitant footsteps reached her ears.
Then, with a soft click, the door unlocked, and Theodore stood there, his eyes red and puffy.
He looked exhausted, his shoulders slumped as if he were carrying the weight of the world on them.
Aurora stepped inside without hesitation and closed the door behind her.
Without a word, she wrapped her arms around him.
Theodore stiffened at first, but after a moment, his body relaxed, and he buried his face in her shoulder.
"It’s not fair, Aurora," he whispered hoarsely.
"I worked so hard. I gave everything I had, and still... I was overlooked. Again."
Aurora gently patted his back, her voice soothing.
"Brother, you are talented. Just because they didn’t choose you today doesn’t mean they won’t see your worth tomorrow."
Theodore scoffed, pulling away slightly.
"Tomorrow, huh? How many tomorrows will it take before I finally get the recognition I deserve? What if they saw my potential when I turned into an old man?
I don’t want to become a famous celebrity who is recognized only after their death. Who can I charm with that cheap popularity? The Ghost in the afterlife?"
Aurora: "..." What...a fair...point.
Aurora sighed, tightening her grip on Theodore’s shoulders.
"Brother, stop saying such dramatic things. You’re not going to become an old man waiting for recognition, nor will you be charming ghosts in the afterlife.
You’re Theodore—the most hardworking, resilient, and stubbornly talented person I know. If anyone is destined to shine, it’s you."
Theodore was silent, before blushing and pulling away,
"Aiah! If you want my autograph just say so, no need to butter me up."
He turned toward the mirror and ran his finger through his hair while muttering,
"I do look handsome...those casting directors definitely can’t see properly! Ugh!"
Aurora: "..."
Placing his finger on his face, Theodore continued,
"Maybe I should change my hairstyle. What do you think, Aurora? Should I go for something bold and edgy? Maybe a platinum blonde look? Or should I grow it out and go for that rugged, mysterious actor vibe?"
Aurora raised an eyebrow, crossing her arms.
"Brother, you do realize that changing your hairstyle won’t magically land you a role, right? You need to keep auditioning and improving your craft."
Theodore sighed dramatically, flopping onto his bed.
"I know, I know. But still, can’t a man dream?"
Aurora chuckled and sat beside him.
"Dream all you want, but don’t forget to chase those dreams too. You’ve come so far already. If you give up now, all your hard work will be wasted."
Theodore turned to look at her, his expression softening.
"You really believe in me that much?"
Aurora nodded firmly.
"Of course, I do. After all, I am planning to become rich after selling your autographs."
Theodore chuckled, placed his leg on the other, and puffed out his chest, freёnovelkiss.com
"Alright, but for now..."
He pulled her on the bed and made her sit down,
"Don’t stress your body."
While whistling, he grabbed a glass of water from his bedside and gave it to Aurora.
Then as if remembering something funny, he paused and started to laugh.
Aurora: "..." Theodore was...truly unstable, he could laugh and cry at the same time.
Taking a deep breath, she asked,
"Brother, why are you laughing?"
"Nothing, do you know, the letter you have given me? The one that mentioned staying away from any woman named ’E’?"
"Yeah." Aurora nodded.
"I met one, her name was Eleanor. And you know what? She met me the moment I was reading the letter...at that time I thought, I met a ghost. Hahaha!" Theodore laughed.
But Aurora was tensed hearing Theodore’s words.
Eleanor?
She was Theodore’s future first love! The one who captivated Theodore with only one glance!
In a probing tone, Aurora asked,
"Brother...are you in contact with her?"
"Eh? Why do you ask?" Theodore asked while selecting a night suit.
"Nothing much, just curious if you have any feelings for her." Aurora teased but on a closer look her body was stiff.
She wished her heart that her brother would answer her with a stern ’no’
However, the sight in front of her made her blood cold.
Theodore’s ears were tinged with red as he replied,
"What? No! Absolutely not! Not to mention she is..."
