Abyssal Sovereign: The Demon's Dominion-Chapter 194 - 193: Lady liya
Jake had spent ten years undercover in the Federation, posing as a normal human while secretly gathering information. At last, he had reached a conclusion.
With his current strength, he couldn't yet destroy the human race. He needed two things: more power and greater influence.
Those ten years living among humans were the most agonizing years of his life. Now twenty, he had spent a full decade surrounded by the very beasts who had slaughtered his people and murdered his parents. Every day was a test of restraint, a constant struggle not to give in to his rage and wipe out millions in blind fury.
But to the humans, millions were nothing—a mere speck of dust. Jake didn't want justice. He wanted extinction. He wanted the entire human race to crumble to dust.
To do that, he needed to join an organization—gain influence, grow stronger, and then enact his revenge. But the path wasn't simple.
The military was out of the question. Their background checks were too thorough. If he revealed himself, all hope for revenge would vanish.
The Wild Shade? Not an option either. They were disconnected from this reality, likely in contact with some higher power, and even if he found them, their influence didn't reach humanity. Even if he gained fame there, it wouldn't help him bring ruin.
The mercenary groups were barely viable, and as for the Night Blood Clan... he'd rather rot with the mercenaries than join those freaks.
Having made up his mind, Jake prepared to leave the Federation planet. But just as he was about to depart, he heard a name echo across the spaceport:
"General Drezan..."
Jake froze. After listening in on the discussion, excitement surged through him.
A new organization... Perfect. He could join quickly, rise through the ranks, and gain leadership status within a few years. He didn't hesitate once he learned they were recruiting. Now, he was one of the hundreds who had passed the first trial.
But at this moment, Jake was scowling in disgust.
"Hey... hey, let's be pals!" a short, excitable youth bounced around near him, smiling annoyingly.
"Move," Jake muttered coldly. The kid didn't take the hint.
"My name's Nim! It means 'born for success!' Hehehe..." the boy grinned.
Jake glanced at him, and a stream of data appeared before his eyes.
Name: Nim
Age: 18
Ability: Combat evolution — the more he fights, even in spars, the stronger he becomes.
Jake raised an eyebrow. Apart from building influence, he had another goal: identify the key figures of the younger human generation... and start eliminating them.
Now he'd found one.
Still, the kid disgusted him.
"Scram. You're not even in the Demi-God Realm," Jake said with disdain.
"I'll get there soon enough. Besides... I just claimed you as my friend, and there's nothing you can do about it," Nim beamed, then leaned casually beside Jake and closed his eyes.
"Idiot... you'll be the first I kill. So annoying," Jake thought, clenching his fists.

Elsewhere...
"Did the Crown Prince make it?" Dared muttered, scanning the crowd.
Candidates continued appearing—old and young—but he hadn't seen the prince.
Just as he was about to give up, there he was.
The disguise had dropped, revealing a strikingly handsome young man. Gasps echoed around.
Everyone stared, but their awe turned to pity. With a face like that, if only his talent matched, he could have led the younger generation...
"Ah... there he is," Dared whispered, thoughts swirling.
He was observant, and time passed until a familiar face emerged: the weakest general of the Dreadborne Organization, the one who had spoken to them earlier.
"Alright. You have five more days. You've spent two days in the first trial—roughly three months in that artificial reality. Honestly, your performance is disappointing. But then again, your human bloodlines are so diluted, I can't expect much," the general said coldly.
Everyone frowned.
Disappointing?
They'd survived themselves—the hardest opponent!
"You'll understand after the trials. In five days, the next begins."
"Wait—what? More?" someone shouted in disbelief. He had just barely survived fighting a version of himself who could read his thoughts... and now there was another trial?
Really? Another fucking trial?
"Yes. Several more, to shape you into what we need. That's enough talking—see you in five days," the general said before vanishing.
"Fuck," Dared muttered... then grinned.
This was what he wanted. The crazier the organization, the more he knew—this was the right place.

Now that his disguise had faded, everyone knew who he was: the eldest prince. They kept their distance, not out of respect for his empty title, but because of the stories tied to him.
Though he couldn't run for the throne, he was still a prince—a status no one dared disrespect.
Only the aristocrats could speak to him as equals, and even they were wary.
Why was the weak, useless eldest prince feared?
Hahaha... it stemmed from a story.
Years ago, when he was a child, he had nearly died. In that moment, an old man from his mother's bloodline descended and almost obliterated the assassins. Since then, aristocratic families warned their children: stay away from him—except for one.
"Eldest Prince Caius," a soft, feminine voice called.
All heads turned toward the graceful woman in white. Gasps followed.
"Lady Liya," Caius greeted with a faint smile. fɾeeweɓnѳveɭ.com
The two had once been close. More than that—ex-fiancés.
Back when the king was still a prince, he and the Duke—his closest friend—had promised to betroth their firstborn children. But when Caius was born out of wedlock, the engagement was annulled. A Duke's daughter couldn't marry a bastard prince, no matter his title.
Still, they had been childhood friends, and this was the first time they'd met in years.
Lady Liya's family leaned toward the military faction. As one of the top three among the five aristocratic houses, they were a powerhouse—and as the firstborn, she was expected to be powerful.
And she was.
" What bring you here Lady liya ?"..., caius asked with a smile.
" To see my friend of course"..., liya replied rolling her eyes.
