Chapter 69 - 143 (3)
"Excaliburn!" An arc of flame shot out, engulfing dragon Draan.
"Pathetic." Draan swiped the explosion of flame away, "This is the power that defeated the demon generals? They should have sent me to nip you in the bud if this is the best that you can do."
Incus then jumped around the room, doing the same strategy that she used against the four armed sword demon Gratius.
"Stick close!" I commanded.
Which my party complied, doing as I said.
The room was then covered in streaking of lightning.
"Scales of dragon, make him stay in place!" Incus shouted before lunging straight at Draan, "Sky severing thrust!"
Ripping the scales of the armor, Draan broke free then caught Incus’ sword mid air.
"You seem to forget that I am a dragon... my scales are far superior to a dead one’s." Draan then grabbed a dragon armor scale before crushing it with his bare hand.
What a monster.
"It’s all within expectations." Incus dispersed the lightning hero sword, stomped down to the ground, torquing her body as she re summoned the same hero sword.
"Thousand spear sky!" An array of sword thrusts then began engulfing Draan, "There is no escape, you will die!" 𝘧𝑟𝑒𝑒𝘸𝘦𝘣𝑛𝑜𝘷𝑒𝓁.𝘤𝘰𝓂
But Draan had other plans in mind as he was meeting the thrusts head on with spear hands, it looked like an equal clash but Draan was slowly overwhelming Incus.
"Is this all that you can do, how disappointing." Draan then pierced through the attack and punched Incus at the lower abdomen.
"Urgh!" But Incus didn’t get sent flying, she stood firmly to the ground, "Impact line!"
Incus then slashed downwards, leaving a splattering wound on Draan’s chest.
"Insolence!" Draan shouted, visibly disgusted.
Slamming the back of his fist across the face of Incus, Draan followed up the attack with a skillful barrage of attacks, aiming for every weak point.
"My blood is not to be drawn by such an insect such as you!" Draan then pulled Incus down by the back of the head before doing an uppercut.
Stumbling back, Incus flipped her head down.
"Is that all? You’re the same as Dragonborn." Incus scoffed, "Childish."
"I’ve had about enough." Draan then slightly stomped on the ground, forming a crater.
"So have I." As Incus was about to unleash an onslaught of impact lines, the hero sword was swatted off her hand.
"I can simply summon it again." Incus made the hero sword reappear in her hand, but was swatted off again.
"Try to." Draan glared coldly, unleashing a barrage of techniques while intercepting the summoning of hero swords.
No longer attempting to summon any hero swords, Incus was blocking the attacks, her stance was boxed in like a turtle.
Grabbing Incus by the wrists, Draan broke her guard and pulled her down to his knee.
"Urgh!" Incus stumbled back, touching her bloodied face. "Is this the best a revered dragon can do? Dragonborn had managed to injure me much more than you have, in fact I nearly died... this is nothing but child’s play."
Draan then lunged forward for another step, and Incus attempted to deflect the attack.
But Incus was instead punched straight on the chest, the sound of ribs cracking echoing in the room.
Damn, that was a brutal attack. Just what was Incus thinking? Draan has True martial arts while she only has advanced, even with limit surge activated, she has absolutely no way of winning.
But nonetheless, Incus continued with the vain attempt of using martial arts to fight Draan.
"Why must you keep persisting, the beautiful floors has been stained in red because of you." Draan shook his head, "I’ll offer you two choices."
Draan then knelt down, pointing his face near the collapsed Incus.
"One, you can either keep continuing on this pointless endeavor to attempt to defeat us." Draan held up one finger.
"Or two... surrender yourself and become a commander under our liege." Draan held up another finger, "The choice is yours, you have until I wake up from my rest."
Draan then sat on the set of stairs, dozing off.
"Captain, what should we do?" Lieur asked cautiously.
"Don’t lower your guard, this could be a trap." I gripped the handle of the fire hero’s sword with my sweat filled palms.
Incus then sat up, putting her hand behind her back.
"I wouldn’t do that if I were you, everything within this room... I can sense. Don’t be an idiot and try to summon a hero sword." Draan said in an irritated voice, his eyes still closed.
But Incus summoned a hero sword anyways, but it wasn’t like the elemental ones.
Slowly creeping her way to Draan, she raised the sword but the blade of her swing got caught mid attack.
"Strange, this sword seems to be able to negate mana." Draan slowly stood up with the blade still in hand, "But because of that, it’s what lead to your downfall. It was weird how there seemed to be a patch of emptiness in my field of mana."
I remember it know, it’s the hero’s mana breaker sword.
"Scales of dragon, strengthen me." The dragon scales then wrapped around her body, "you seem to never stalk talking Mr Inferior."
"I’ve grown tired of your provocations." Draan then made his hand flat, swinging at Incus neck.
Dodging out of the way, Incus seemingly tightened her grip.
"Impact line."
Draan’s hand then began to bleed.
"Tsk, what an annoying technique that you have." Draan swiped the blood away.
Jumping back, Incus bend down in a diagonal angle.
"Sweeping stream." In incredible speed, Incus dashed and struck at the demon Draan, "Impact line..!"
Patting the blade away with a finger, the trajectory of the blade missed it’s target completely.
"Like I have said." Draan’s face became cold, "You are weak."
Slamming his palm on Incus, pushing her several distances away, Draan asked:
"Have you ever seen the crimson sky be split."
"Yes, your brother split the crimson sky with his blade." Incus steadied herself.
Draan then smiled, "Then for my next question is... have you seen the sky be split with a mere finger.
