Summoners War: Only I Summoned Divine Beasts
Chapter 1693: Request
Bianca was the chosen one on this continent. It was surprising, but he could finally understand why the original Nathan found Bianca useful. If he met Luna, he would probably feel the same.
Nathan smiled. "No, I’m not really surprised that you’re able to talk in my language."
"..." Bianca didn’t expect this reply. It should be surprising, but if it wasn’t, Nathan might have other information that made this matter not surprising anymore.
Bianca looked at Nathan. "Who are you?"
"I’m Nathan." Nathan smiled, introducing himself again.
"That’s not what I mean..." Bianca glared at Nathan.
Nathan chuckled. "I know. Are you living alone here?"
"I am living alone." Bianca looked away.
"I see. You are not here alone." Nathan smiled. She was surprisingly easy to read.
"I said I’m living alone." Bianca raised her voice. 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝕨𝕖𝗯𝚗𝚘𝕧𝕖𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝕞
"Alright, alright. You’re living alone." Nathan nodded. "So, what are you doing here?"
"...food. I’m searching for food."
"Is that so?" Nathan thought it would be hard to find food here. It seemed to be related to whoever Bianca was hiding.
Suddenly, Vivian walked in while saying, "Nathan. We’ve found a cave. I believe someone is living there."
All this time, Vivian and the others had been hiding their presence. They let Nathan do whatever he wanted. They focused on scouting the area to see if there were any aliens nearby.
It was then that they found a cave.
The moment she heard Vivian finding a cave, Bianca’s eyes turned bloodshot. Her energy flared up. "You..."
Before Bianca could do anything, Nathan grabbed her wrists and said, "I apologize on her behalf. We really mean no harm."
"Let go of me." Bianca gritted her teeth, struggling to escape.
"Bianca?" a weak voice echoed in the forest.
"!!!" Bianca panicked, looking at a fragile old man who walked with two other people. "All of you... I won’t let you hurt him. I’m going to kill you!"
In a way, Bianca’s reaction was justified. Nathan looked like a kidnapper luring her with food. With his group’s strength, they could do whatever he wanted with her and the old man. Nathan had even restrained her.
So, telling her he meant no harm was useless.
However, Nathan truly meant no harm. He looked at the old man before saying, "I’m really sorry about this. It looks like there’s a misunderstanding."
The old man coughed a few times before shaking his head. "Not at all. I am just a bit surprised that there are people from other continents here."
"Are you aware of us?" Nathan asked.
"I’m aware of other continents, but I don’t expect you to arrive here." The old man shook his head.
Nathan didn’t see any sigil on the old man, so he realized that the old man must have recognized the fact that they came from a different continent by their language.
The old man coughed heavily.
"Are you alright?" Nathan asked.
"I’m fine." The old man waved his hand. "How about letting her go? Let’s go to the cave to have a chat with this old man."
"Right?" Nathan nodded calmly, gradually releasing Bianca.
Without hesitation, Bianca rushed to him, glaring at Nathan and the others with hostility.
Nathan wanted to think that Bianca living on this continent was a kind of butterfly effect because of the original Nathan. However, after seeing the old man, he didn’t think it was such a coincidence.
The old man slowly led them to the cave. There wasn’t much inside the cave. They even made the bed with stone, only covering it with some straw.
"I’m sorry that we don’t have anything to entertain you." The old man apologized while walking to the bed. As he sat down, he continued, "There’s really nothing else here."
Koraxa was quite surprised that people were still living in this place. However, he was a bit suspicious of this old man. It was as if he could recognize him.
"I’m Nathan Reckmoon." Nathan nodded, politely introducing himself.
The old man smiled. "Hello. I am Axakera."
"Axakera..." Coraxa widened his eyes in shock. "You are Axakera Pollovis?"
"Do you know me, young man?" The old man smiled.
"Who?" Nathan asked.
"He is Axakera Pollovis, a man who was rumored to be the strongest in the world. However, he faded from the spotlight six years ago due to an injury."
"..." Nathan thought for a moment before taking out more food. "This is not much, but please eat this. I also have a familiar that can take care of your injury."
Nathan was respectful. Although his strength had declined, Fenrir warned him about Axakera. In a way, Axakera was as strong as the Godfather.
"You can call me Axa or just Old Man." Axa smiled. He patted Bianca’s head, grabbed the plate of food, and gave it to her.
Bianca looked worried at first, but Axa nodded with a smile, reassuring her.
"..." Bianca wasn’t entirely convinced, but she still ate it, intending to leave a lot behind later.
Axa asked, "May I know where you came from? Erendtall? Judging from that young man’s tone, you look like someone from this continent. However, the rest of you should be from somewhere else."
"You’re right. I’m from Gratzel." Nathan nodded and made a gesture for Anubis.
Anubis activated his power, trying to heal Axa. However, he soon realized what was going on with Axa’s body, so he shook his head.
"You can’t heal him?" Bianca noticed Anubis’ gestures, looking disappointed and sad.
However, Axa said, "You don’t have to do that. I know my body best. This is not a problem of injury. I have lived past my own lifespan."
"!!!" Nathan was quite surprised when he said it directly. But looking at his wrinkled face and his age, Axa might indeed be extending his life with his own power. If not for his originally strong power, he might have died long ago.
Axa looked at them with a serious expression. "Can I ask you something?"
Nathan frowned. He didn’t know whether he should accept this request or not, especially with the mission going on. But he chose to listen to his request first.
Axa asked, "Can you bring Bianca with you?"
"!!!"
