Eighth rank force exploded and the Skycloud master snarled, severing his connection with his own dao universe. He extracted endless dao strength at the same time, barely managing to retain his eighth rank level of cultivation!

He brooded ominously. Damn them all!

Next to him, Red Moon regarded him with a look of sympathy. In reality, he was delighting in schadenfreude and almost burst out laughing.

Look at you now! Someone took your dao universe too, haha!

Red Moon had been the butt of eighth rank jokes for a while, and now Skycloud would be as well. However, Red Moon couldn’t find it within himself to laugh as he glanced at the furiously running Human King.

“It looks like New Martial’s target is our worlds.” He frowned as he addressed the Dragon master not too far away. “I’d thought it was to move against Blazing Sun, but they’ve turned around to set their sights on Skycloud instead.”

The Skycloud master’s presence was free-falling. He was worse off than Red Moon—he’d almost lost a cultivation level. Color had drained from the man’s face and he was absolutely livid. He’d felt that New Martial would scheme against Blazing Sun if they truly had anything in mind, but they’d gone to Skycloud instead!

Those assholes!

He’d lost his dao universe. If it wasn’t for him cutting that part of himself off, then even his dao star would have gone down Fog Mountain’s throat! That animal!

The Blazing Sun master looked over in their direction, completely unconcerned. Trying to make a play for my world? In your dreams!

Ever since you guys refused to devote your full strength to helping me attack New Martial, I recruited large numbers of outsiders for self protection. There’s two seventh ranks and one eighth rank with me!

There’s another eighth rank holding down the fort outside, precisely because I’m afraid of something like this happening. That eighth rank comes from the same world as this eighth rank. They’re the rare sight of two eighth ranks being from the same dao universe!

And with four seventh ranks in residence on my world, New Martial will be nursing a death wish to attack Blazing Sun Region!

Hence, he wasn’t that concerned.

“Fog Mountain is devouring my dao universe and may set foot into eighth rank after it...” Skycloud intoned darkly.

The group blinked at his words and the Blazing Sun master frowned slightly. “Why is it Fog Mountain? Isn’t it New Martial?”

“Those from New Martial are involved, I can sense the Sword Sovereign’s sword intent!”

So it’s that kid. The Blazing Sun master’s frown deepened. He looked at the Human King dawdling nearby. “We need to leave, right now! Join hands to blast a hole through the dao universe so we can get out...

“Dragon master, you have an eighth rank world with you. You’re also the only one among us with your world. Do you not have a way of breaking through either?”

“It’s too hard!” The Dragon master exhaled with an ominous look in his eyes. “Not to mention, I’ve lost a seventh rank too. Long Xuan has died in my region and I’m unsure of what the situation is. I’d like to leave sooner rather than later as well...”

Despite his reply, he still didn’t invest his full force into the fight. With both Skycloud and Red Moon having been taken down, the Dragon master was of a mind to wait for Blazing Sun to be breached as well!

Blazing Sun posed a big threat. However, eighth rank humans were weaker than chaos beasts if they did not have a world and dao universe.

The humans were weakening themselves at a furious rate. Although New Martial had produced a crop of powerhouses, they’d killed several seventh ranks to nurture one. From an overall perspective, human seventh ranks were dwindling at a rapid pace!

The Dragon master did wish to leave after Long Xuan’s death, but once Skycloud fell and Blazing Sun was possibly under threat, he actually wished to drag things out a bit.

He gazed upon the Human King in the distance, the look in his eyes shifting. His current idea was to consort with the enemy!

He knew that New Martial was a massive trouble, but it was also eliminating powerhouses in all directions at the moment. It was a frightful blade that he borrowed to whittle down his enemies, yet it might not be a blade that he was afraid of!

Dragon Region was still very powerful at the end of the day. It had twelve major worlds and a bunch of seventh ranks. It was only short on eighth ranks. Yet if all of these human eighth ranks became wandering cultivators... then while seventh rank chaos beasts would still be weaker than them, the gap wouldn’t be as great as before.

The Human King didn’t run far. He needed to prevent these people from joining hands and breaking free. He was bathed in blood, but cackling merrily. The Dragon master, Blazing Sun, Skycloud, Red Moon, and another eighth rank from outside the four regions were all thorny opponents.

However, all of them were desperately afraid at the moment that he would set his eyes on one of them. Light was yet to be involved in their conflict, but his existence exerted certain pressure on these people.

It was their fault for having besieged Light before!

While the combination of the Human King, Ash Emperor, and Light master would not overcome this group, neither would these people have a chance to break out of the Skyward dao universe even if they worked together.

The Human King could even see through the Dragon master’s thoughts. This old dragon was nothing good!

He was an eighth rank in possession of an eighth rank dao universe, but the strength he brought to bear... was less than what the Human King and Ash Emperor could summon in conjunction! That clearly didn’t make sense. The old dragon was hiding things!

Based on Skycloud’s attitude, the plan to conquer Skycloud major world had worked. Except... there were probably still issues at Blazing Sun.

The Human King looked at the foreign exalted emperors—none of them would make a difference. It would seem that Ole Zhang had not located their worlds yet. What a pity. If he had, that would be more eighth rank dao universes to be had!

Many thoughts ran through the Human King’s mind as he watched the others hold a transmitted conversation. Perhaps these guys still wanted to kill him first before leaving!

Truth be told, he couldn’t hold on much longer. It’d taken so many days for Ole Zhang to break through only Skycloud. He was really slow! Since when had he gotten so inefficient? What was he doing with himself, huh?

The Light master silently brought up the rear. He didn’t make a move, but neither did he let the group out of his sight. He cast an occasional foreboding glare at Skycloud and the rest, ensuring that they didn’t have a comfortable time of things.

When Skycloud’s great dao shook, the Light master smiled in a vicious fashion. Skycloud and Red Moon truly are brothers! It looks like Light is the only remaining eighth rank of Skyward Region!

However, he then looked at the Human King. Skycloud is situated not too far from Light. Although I have four seventh ranks in residence, I will join them in attacking you if your people attack my world!

“Congratulations, Brother Light.” The Human King happened to be looking at him too. He called out brightly, “You will be the reigning power in Skyward Region from now on! The two of us can do whatever we wish when we join hands!”

“......” The Light master didn’t respond. The Human King was just as odious as the rest. He’d been so polite toward the Light master while they were all trapped in the Skyward dao universe that one might have thought they were blood brothers.

Everyone was well aware of what the Human King might have in mind. But one had to say, his efforts still bore fruit. At the very least, the rest of these exalted emperors had been highly on guard against Light and attacked him to ensure that he would sign a dao treaty.

They were even more concerned now.

“The draconic fellow daoist...” spoke the foreign eighth rank. “You are formidable with an eighth rank world in tow, and you have three seventh ranks helping you. To be frank, this should not be the sum total of your strength.

“I only have my world here, my dao universe is stuck outside!” The Dragon master raised an eyebrow.

“Chaos beasts are not affected by the lack of a dao universe!” the foreign eighth rank said softly. “There are eighth rank chaos beasts in the outer regions as well, they are extremely ferocious. Does the Dragon master not measure up to them?”

The dragon glanced at the speaker. He could not tell what the foreigner’s strength was, just that he wasn’t weak. The foreigner hadn’t made a sound before. Clearly he was getting anxious. Perhaps his people were stationed at Blazing Sun.

“The Human King and Ash Emperor also have their world with them, which makes them harder to handle,” said the Dragon master. “If the fellow daoist can suppress them alongside Brother Blazing Sun, then we should be able to break out of the Skyward dao universe!”

The foreigner fell silent as he looked at Blazing Sun. He wouldn’t have intervened, but his brother was in residence at Blazing Sun. Although the situation should be safe with an eighth rank in residence, what if... it wasn’t?

“Very well!” The foreigner agreed after some thought. No one had been really willing to put their full strength into the fight before, but seeing how badly off Skycloud was, the foreigner decided to help.

They needed to restrain the two New Martial exalted emperors as quickly as possible, or break free of their imprisonment if not.

The Dragon master looked at the group and offered nothing else. He transmitted instructions to the powerhouses within his stomach. There were four more seventh ranks on his world, biding their time.

“I’m going to drag things out a few days more and leave when Blazing Sun is toppled! When I work with the others, you guys will ambush Blazing Sun! New Martial will conquer his major world, so we cannot let them have everything.

“The Blazing Sun master cannot fall into New Martial’s hands. You four will handle him and I will kill Skycloud. The three already outside can manage Red Moon!”

The four seventh ranks within Dragon major world grinned with glee. Their lord was about to explode into action!

Indeed, the Dragon master had made up his mind. Whether it was New Martial or him doing the killing, weren’t they all seeking to eliminate these original overlords?

There had been four eighth rank worlds in the four regions apart from his own. But now, all of them teetered on collapse, apart from Light.

In that case, you guys can seize their worlds outside and I’ll kill their world masters here. A fallen eighth rank is a treasure trove! Even if this helps New Martial’s rise, at least there will be a lot fewer factions in the four regions after this! It’s time for everything to be shuffled!
