Pampered by My Ex's Cousin
Chapter 170 - 164 The Child is Mine (6)
Upon entering the bathroom and standing before the mirror, Ji Anning realized something that had eluded her until this moment: who had changed her clothes last night?
Xiang Yiqing had also been at that seaside villa last night, was that his home?
Did this sleepwear belong to the Xiang family?
However, it seemed that the real issue was not whose sleepwear this was, but who had changed her into it. š»š³š¦š¦šøāÆš·šÆš°š£āÆš.š¤šš®
"I am the demon who slept with you,"
Chichengās bold statement echoed in her ears, unembarrassed and nonchalant. Her hands clenched the front of her own clothing, pressing it tightly against her chest.
Her heart beat chaotically, yet this did nothing to calm it.
In a flurry, she turned on the faucet, bent down, and scooped up the cold water with both hands, splashing it onto her face without pause.
After cleaning up, she took off the sleepwear and changed back into her own home clothes.
Downstairs, Auntie Wu had already made noodles. It was very late and, worrying about digestion, she only put a few greens in the noodle soup, making it very bland.
Ji Anning frowned, watching Auntie Wu about to enter the kitchen, she called out, "Auntie Wu, do we have any chili oil?"
"Miss Anning, itās very late, and eating spicy food isnāt good for the stomach," reminded Auntie Wu, stopping in her tracks to offer her well-meaning advice.
Anning knew that eating spicy food late at night wasnāt good for her, but she craved it, especially upon seeing the noodles. Her mind conjured images of beef noodles with spicy oil and broth, sparking a strong craving for something spicy.
"Itās okay, Iāll have just a little," Anning replied to Auntie Wu with a slight smile.
Auntie Wu had no choice but to nod, "Alright then."
She went to the kitchen and brought out a bottle of hot sauce, placing it in front of Anning, "Miss Anning, this hot sauce is specifically for noodles, and itās very spicy. Please have a little."
Anning nodded and hummed in agreement, eager to open the hot sauce cap and to pour it into her bowl of noodles.
Suddenly, a familiar male voice came from the entrance of the dining room.
"Auntie Wu, starting today, donāt put any chili peppers in any of the dishes at home. Throw out anything thatās spicy,"
The tall man strode in, directing orders at Auntie Wu.
With a strong and domineering presence that brooked no doubt, Auntie Wu didnāt dare to hesitate, nodding immediately, "Understood."
Then her gaze shifted reluctantly to the hot sauce in Anningās hand.
Anningās expression froze for an instant. Then, in a defiant outburst, she upended the bottle, dumping the entire contents of hot sauce into her noodle bowl.
The originally bland noodle soup instantly became topped with a layer of bright red chili oil.
Auntie Wu shuddered and cautiously lifted her gaze towards Chicheng, and as expected, the usually temperamental Young Masterās face was darker than the bottom of a pot.
Chichengās gaze abruptly shifted towards her, "Is the birdās nest porridge ready?"
"Yes, Iāll bring it to you now,"
Auntie Wu responded to Chicheng with a nod and turned promptly to enter the kitchen.
The dining room was rife with tension, and she was looking for an opportunity to leave.
"Young Master, the birdās nest porridge,"
Auntie Wu brought out the steaming birdās nest porridge, still covered, in a white porcelain cup and offered it with both hands to Chicheng.
Chicheng took it, frowning slightly and casting a somber glance at Anning, who was still head down, eating her chili-soaked noodles without giving him a glance, then turned and left with the birdās nest porridge.
His tall figure and heavy aura left the dining room.
Anning put down her chopsticks and spit out a mouthful of noodles back onto her plate. She stood up, with tears rimming her eyes, and rushed into the kitchen. Pulling open the refrigerator, she searched inside and found a cold tomato. Without even washing it, she started to eat it hungrily.
