Chapter 81: Presidential Beachfront Villa

The drive from Rarotonga International Airport to Te Manava Luxury Villas & Spa was nothing short of breathtaking.

The two jet-black Rolls-Royce Cullinans glided smoothly down the pristine coastal road, their whisper-quiet engines barely making a sound as they moved.

The tropical breeze carried the scent of salt and fresh greenery through the slightly lowered windows, blending perfectly with the soft vibrance of the vehicle’s climate-controlled interior.

James sat comfortably in the rear seat, his gaze moving between the stunning ocean views outside and the luxurious interior of the car.

The Starlight Headliner above twinkled softly, even in daylight, mimicking a night sky filled with stars. The hand-stitched leather seats felt like they molded perfectly to his posture, while the cool touch of the polished wood paneling added to the sense of refinement.

Next to him, Leslie was in complete awe.

"James," she breathed, her hands gripping the plush leather armrest as she stared out the window.

"This is literally the most beautiful place I’ve ever seen."

James couldn’t help but smile at her reaction. Even he feels the same, as the scenery in front of him was just too beautiful.

Beyond the tinted glass, the scenery was like a tropical paradise come to life.

The crystal-clear turquoise waters of the Pacific stretched endlessly, meeting the horizon in a seamless gradient of blue.

Lush palm trees and vibrant hibiscus flowers lined the roadside, their bright reds, pinks, and oranges adding bursts of color to the greenery.

Small, thatched-roof huts and local market stalls dotted the roadside, with friendly islanders waving at passing cars.

Patty, seated gracefully beside them, had a serene smile on her face. Unlike Leslie, who was bouncing in her seat with excitement, Patty was quietly taking everything in and appreciating every moment.

"This place is special," she said softly, turning her gaze to James. "Thank you, sweetheart."

James simply nodded, feeling satisfied that she was enjoying herself. This is what he want to see — Patty’s and Leslie’s smiles, happiness, as they live in comfort.

At that moment, the chauffeur’s voice came through the intercom.

"Mr. Zolomon, we’ll be arriving at Te Manava in about five minutes."

Leslie perked up immediately when she heard this.

"Already?!" She asked in surprise, and with a mix of sadness.

"No! I want the ride to last longer!"

James chuckled at her reaction, shaking his head

"I swear, Leslie, you act like you’ve never been in a luxury car before."

"I HAVE been in one. But never in paradise." Leslie shot back at him, with pout.

The chauffeur smiled through the rearview mirror, clearly amused by their conversation.

"Don’t worry, Miss. The villa is even better than the drive," he assured her.

James smiled as he glanced outside again, as the Rolls-Royces turned onto a private road, leading towards a secluded part of the island.

The landscape changed as they entered a lush coconut grove, the towering palm trees providing natural shade along the winding driveway.

Small wooden signs adorned with hand-carved Polynesian motifs directed them toward the exclusive beachfront section of the resort.

As they approached the entrance, James could see the Te Manava Luxury Villas & Spa sign, carved elegantly into a slab of volcanic rock, surrounded by a garden of tropical flowers.

Leslie’s eyes widened as the massive gated entrance slowly opened.

With the gate opened, t0he Rolls-Royces pulled up to the Presidential Beachfront Villa, and the moment James laid eyes on it, he knew that this wasn’t just luxury. It was pure paradise.

"I guess there’s a reason why the charter company is very reputable. They really know how to take care of their esteemed clients," he smiled, as took in the view in from of him.

Meanwhile, Leslie being Leslie, let out a dramatic gasp.

"JAMES." She turned to him with wide eyes. "WHAT. THE. HELL."

"Welcome home for the next week." James smirked proudly.

He was very happy that his money was put into good use.

And with that, the chauffeurs stepped out to open their doors, welcoming them to the ultimate beachfront escape.

As James stepped out of the Rolls-Royce Cullinan, the warm, tropical breeze kissed his skin, carrying the faint scent of sea salt and exotic flowers.

The sound of gentle waves lapping against the shore filled the air, blending seamlessly with the rustling of palm leaves swaying in the breeze.

A resort manager, dressed in a crisp white linen shirt and tailored khaki slacks, stood by the villa’s grand entrance, flanked by two staff members carrying chilled towels and fresh coconut drinks.

"Mr. Zolomon, welcome to Te Manava Luxury Villas & Spa. We’re honored to have you."

James gave a polite nod, accepting the cool towel and lightly dabbing his face before grabbing a fresh coconut.

Leslie, on the other hand, was completely frozen.

Her gaze traveled from the private infinity pool, which seamlessly blended into the horizon, to the modern Polynesian-style architecture of the villa itself.

Then the massive floor-to-ceiling windows that showcases the breathtaking ocean view, with the villa’s sleek, minimalist aesthetic mixing effortlessly with the natural wooden elements and thatched roof accents.

Patty placed a gentle hand on Leslie’s back and chuckled softly.

"You okay, sweetheart?" she asked.

Leslie snapped out of her trance, turning to James with the most dramatic expression he’d ever seen.

"James," she whispered. "I’m never leaving."

James could only shake his head, smiling, as he walked towards the villa’s door.

As he made his way to the villa, he turned to look at the villa beside them and he saw Mr Harrington and his team walking towards it.

As if sensing that James was looking at him, Mr Harrington turned to him and smiled, and also giving a slight nod, causing James to smile.

James turned his attention to the villa, as he explored his immediate vicinity with his eyes.

The mahogany double doors of the villa swung open, revealing the interior — and even James had to pause for a second.

The moment they stepped inside, a wave of cool, fresh air washed over them, thanks to the villa’s silent climate control system.

The open-concept living space was bathed in natural light, with vaulted wooden ceilings and glass walls that provided an uninterrupted view of the turquoise ocean.

The marble floors were polished to perfection, reflecting the golden glow of the afternoon sun.

Every detail of the villa screamed understated luxury, from the handcrafted teakwood furniture to the woven rattan pendant lights hanging elegantly from the ceiling.

A massive L-shaped sectional couch, upholstered in soft cream-colored linen, sat in the center of the living area, facing an ultra-thin 85-inch OLED TV mounted against a custom-built, sand-colored stone wall.

To the right, an open kitchen and dining area featured a granite-topped island with high-end stainless steel appliances, a fully stocked wine fridge, and a set of hand-carved wooden barstools.

It was stated in the email that a private chef would be available to cook anything they desired, whenever they wanted. But James feels that it would unnecessary, as Patty would want to do the cooking herself.

The dining table, a long slab of polished koa wood, was surrounded by cushioned wicker chairs, positioned perfectly beneath a panoramic window that overlooked the private beachfront terrace.

Leslie, who still recovering from shock, wandered toward the sliding glass doors that led to the deck.

As she pulled them open, a warm sea breeze rolled in, carrying with it the soothing sound of waves crashing gently on the shore.

She stepped onto the expansive outdoor terrace, where the private infinity pool sparkled under the sun.

It blended so perfectly with the horizon that it looked like it spilled straight into the ocean.

A sunken lounge area with plush white cushions sat beside the pool, and beyond it, a thatched-roof cabana with a swinging daybed faced the shoreline, positioned for the ultimate sunset-watching experience.

"James," Leslie called out without turning around. "We live here now. Okay?"

James chuckled as he walked over, taking in the view himself.

"How nice it must be to live in a place like this." He smiled.

"It must feel great to live in paradise." Leslie smiled.

James shook his head, amused, before turning and walking the villa.

Meanwhile, Patty had already wandered toward the hallway that led to the bedrooms. When she reached the master suite, she gasped in shock.

The room was enormous, almost bigger than the entire first floor of their old house. A California king-sized bed, dressed in pristine white Egyptian cotton sheets, sat in the center of the room, facing another set of floor-to-ceiling windows that opened directly onto a private terrace with a personal hot tub.

To the left, a walk-in closet lined with built-in oak shelves provided more space than she would ever need, and to the right, the ensuite bathroom was an absolute masterpiece.

A freestanding stone bathtub sat beneath a skylight, positioned next to a massive indoor rain shower, which extended outdoors to an open-air private garden shower, surrounded by tropical greenery and bamboo walls for privacy.

Patty ran her fingers along the cool marble vanity, exhaling softly.

"James..." she called out, shaking her head in disbelief.

James appeared in the doorway, immediately with a curious look on his face.

"Yeah?"

Patty turned to him, with her eyes filled with emotion.

"This... This is beyond anything I ever imagined."

James smiled warmly and stepped forward, and locked her into a tight embrace.

"You deserve it, Patty."

Patty smiled, blinking away the sudden emotion that welled up in her chest, as she hugged him back.

"I don’t know what I did to deserve you, James," she said softly.

"I can’t begin to count everything that you have done for me. So now, please, let give you and Leslie every good thing the world has to offer."

Hearing what James said, Patty hugged him even tighter. And they just stood there, appreciating the moment.

Meanwhile, Leslie had just discovered her room, and from the scream that echoed through the villa, it was clear she was losing her mind.

"JAMES. I HAVE A HOT TUB. IN. MY. ROOM."

James heard Leslie’s scream and laughed.

"Let me go and check on the drama queen," he said to Patty, as he stopped hugging her. freeweɓnøvel.com

"Yeah. I will make us something to eat," Patty nodded, smiling from ear to ear.

James nodded, and he made his way over to Leslie’s room. He found her standing in the middle of the room and staring at her massive suite in complete disbelief.

Her room was almost as extravagant as the master suite — a spacious king-sized bed, a private balcony with an ocean view, and a sunken spa tub built into the floor next to a full glass wall facing the ocean.

James leaned against the doorframe, smirking.

"So, does this meet your expectations?"

Leslie spun around dramatically.

"Meet my expectations? Are you kidding me?! It shattered everything!"

James shook his head, chuckling as he stepped inside.

"Go ahead, get comfortable. We’ll be here for a week."

Leslie let out another excited squeal before immediately diving onto the bed, sinking into the plush pillows.

Back in his room, James lay on the bed with very satisfied smile on his face, as he stretched his arms lazily and exhaled.

Everything was perfect and the charter company showed him how they got their solid reputation.

He knew that there was no that the $170,000 he paid for seven people will cover everything, but he understood that this was one of the benefits of using the charter company.

"Now, we wait for Mr Harrington and his team to set up a meeting with the TCSP."
