World Domination Begins With Getting a System in a Modern World-Chapter 75: Mr Harrington’s Call
Chapter 75: Mr Harrington’s Call
The morning sun cast a golden glow through the expansive windows of the mansion, bathing the living area in warm light.
James stepped downstairs, stretching his arms as he inhaled the familiar scent of breakfast wafting from the kitchen.
As expected, Patty was already making breakfast. But what surprised him was the sight of Leslie actually helping.
A rare sight indeed.
James smirked as he walked over to them.
"Well, well, well... look who finally decided to contribute to society."
Leslie, who was focused on cracking an egg, paused mid-motion and gave him a slow, pointed glare.
"James, don’t start," she warned, voice dripping with early-morning irritation, but could see the poorly concealed smile hidden behind that irritated expression.
James grinned and ignored her, walking up to Patty and greeting her in their usual way — with a quick peck on the cheek.
"Good morning, Patty. How was your night?" he asked.
"Good morning, sweetheart. My night was splendid. How was yours?" she asked, smiling warmly.
"Wonderful," James said, stretching again.
Leslie, still standing by the counter, was now staring at him expectantly, arms crossed.
James sighed and smiled.
"Good morning, Leslie."
Leslie smirked, feeling very pleased with herself.
"That’s more like it."
Patty chuckled, as she focused her attention on what she was doing.
"Alright, James, just give us a few minutes and breakfast will be ready."
James nodded and left them to it, heading toward the living room. He plopped onto the couch, grabbed the remote, and turned on the TV, letting the morning news play in the background.
It didn’t take long before Leslie’s voice called out from the dining area.
"James, breakfast is ready!"
James got up, heading toward the dining table, where Patty and Leslie were already seated.
The aroma of eggs, toast, bacon, and fresh fruit filled the air, and James wasted no time digging in.
As they ate, Patty suddenly remembered something important.
"Oh, James," she began, setting her fork down. "Mr. Harrington called earlier. He said the documents are ready, and that he and his team are prepared to fly to the Cook Islands to begin establishing the trust."
James’ head perked up in interest when he heard what Patty said. This was the moment he had been waiting for.
"Oh? When did he say they’d be leaving?" he asked curiously.
"Tomorrow," Patty replied, taking a sip of her orange juice. "And I’ll be going with them."
James raised an eyebrow. That part was unexpected.
"Wait, he asked you to go with him?" he asked, confused.
"No, that was my own decision," Patty said.
"Even though our names won’t appear in the official documents, I still want to see the TCSP company they’re using. I want to meet the trustee, and I want to oversee the LLC setup," she explained.
James leaned back in his chair, nodding slowly. That was actually a smart move.
"That’s... a good idea," he admitted.
Actually, even if Patty hadn’t mentioned it, he would had wanted to go to Cook Islands with Mr Harrington’s.
Leslie, who had been chewing on a piece of toast, suddenly looked up at both of them, completely lost.
"Okay, you guys lost me at ’Mr. Harrington.’ What’s going on?" she asked.
Patty smiled and gave her a simplified explanation.
"James is creating a management company to handle his investments and assets."
Leslie nodded slowly in understanding. As a first-year chemical engineering student, she wasn’t exactly an expert in finance, but her mom’s short explanation was enough for her to get the gist.
"Ohhh. That’s actually a good idea," she said.
But then she frowned slightly, looking at James.
"But... are these people trustworthy?"
"There’s nothing to worry about. The trustee will be a professional from a reputable TCSP company,’ Patty said, reassuring her, and also indirectly, James.
Leslie’s eyes narrowed in confusion.
"TCSP? What’s that?"
"It stands for Trust & Corporate Service Providers," Patty explained with a smile.
"I see..." Leslie sighed and shrugged, picking up her fork again.
Patty chuckled at her daughter’s reaction.
"So," she continued, turning back to James, "I’ll be traveling with Mr. Harrington and his team tomorrow to Cook Islands."
James nodded immediately in agreement.
"I’m coming with you." He said.
It’s just as Patty said, even though he isn’t going to be running the trust personally, he still wants to oversee everything.
Patty looked at him for a moment before she smiled and agreed.
"Alright."
It’s not like she would say no in the first place.
Leslie perked up when she heard that James was also going.
"Wait, can I come too?" she asked. "I mean... you guys are definitely gonna be gone for a while, and I don’t want to be left alone in the house."
"Was that even a question? You think I was just gonna leave you home alone?" James smiled.
Leslie grinned, feeling satisfied.
James turned back to Patty.
"Contact Mr. Harrington. If they’ve already made flight reservations, tell them not to worry about it. I’ll handle it. I’ll also cover their expenses in Cook Islands and Nevis." freēwēbnovel.com
"I’ll call him after breakfast." Patty nodded.
James took another bite of his food, then thought of something else.
"You know," he said after swallowing, "since we’ll likely need their services long-term, I’m thinking of retaining their law firm."
Patty nodded and as she thought briefly about it, before responding.
"That’s not a bad idea," she admitted. "But let’s not rush. Let them create the trust first. Let’s assess their work, and then you can decide."
James nodded in agreement.
"And besides," Patty added, "you need your cash assets for the investments you’re going to make. You can’t be spending too much before you even start making serious moves."
James smiled at that. He knew Patty had his best interests at heart and she didn’t want him to spend his $5 million investment capital on anything beside investment.
He couldn’t help but wonder how her reaction would be if she knew that he had over $100 million sitting in his account
"She’d probably freak out," he muttered to himself.
Patty continued eating her food and the next moment, she suddenly had another idea.
"James, I was thinking... why not create multiple LLCs under the trust? One for real estate holdings, one for investment holdings, and another for business operations."
James paused, as he considered her suggestion. Not that he needed to anyway.
"That actually makes sense. Though I understand what the real estate holdings will do. But please explain what other two LLC would do — the investment holdings and business operations to me."
He has an idea of what they are going to do but he wants to confirm from Patty.
"The investment holdings LLC will hold your stocks, crypto, private equity, or passive income investments. So, in toter words, they will be making profit for you" Patty explained.
"As for the business operations LLC, it’ll be used to run any company you decide to create. If you plan to own and operate businesses, this is what you’ll use."
James nodded, finally getting it. "That’s... actually a brilliant idea. Thanks, Patty."
"Of course," she said with a warm smile. "I’ll discuss this with Mr. Harrington after we set up the trust."
After that we done, the conversation shifted to more casual topics, and they finished their meal in high spirits.

After breakfast, Leslie leaned back in her chair and grinned.
"So basically, this is a business scene for you and Mom, but for me... it’s a vacation."
"That about sums it up," James said with a smile.
Leslie stretched her arms, with a bright smile on her face.
"I love this arrangement."
"Don’t get too comfortable, young lady." Patty laughed.
Leslie just smirked and stood up.
"Too late, mom"
James stood up as well, pushing his chair back.
"Alright, I need to start making arrangements for the trip. I’ll book a private flight and handle everything else today."
"Good. I’ll call Mr. Harrington now." Patty smiled.
Leslie clapped her hands together excitedly.
"Time to pack!"
She practically ran out of the dining area, leaving James and Patty chuckling.
After that, James stood up from the table and went up to his private study, to begin making arrangements for tomorrow’s flight and their stay in Cook Islands and Nevis.
