Villain MMORPG: Almighty Devil Emperor and His Seven Demonic Wives-Chapter 1222: Cat Fight [Part 2]
Villain Ch 1222. Cat Fight [Part 2]
"Would you, though?" Zoe chimed in, her tentacles lazily curling in amusement. "Or are you just worried about losing to the 'clingy girls' you were complaining about earlier?"
The knight's jaw tightened, her eyes narrowing as she turned her glare on Zoe. "Watch your mouth."
"Oh, I'm watching," Zoe replied with a smirk, leaning casually against a nearby stall. "Just not seeing much action from you."
"Cowardice looks great on that armor," Larissa added, her voice dripping with sarcasm.
The knight took a step forward, her imposing frame casting a shadow over Bella. "You think I'm afraid of you? A sorcerer? You wouldn't last two minutes in a real fight."
Bella didn't flinch. She crossed her arms and tilted her head, her smirk widening. "Then prove it."
Before the knight could respond, another voice cut through. "Well, you can't let me take all the credit, right?" Zoe said, stepping forward with an easy grin that didn't quite reach her eyes. Her disguise as a knight was simple but effective—gleaming steel armor that looked worn in just enough to imply experience without flashiness. Her hand rested lightly on the hilt of her sword.
Bella glanced at her, raising an eyebrow. "Are you going to handle this?"
"Yes," Zoe replied, her tone sharp. She gritted her teeth, speaking low enough for only Bella to hear. "I need something to take out on that stupid queen-wannabe fish."
The rest of the girls exchanged quick glances, the same thought passing silently between them. 'Ah, she's still mad about that.'
Bella's smirk softened slightly. She stepped back, her hands raised in mock surrender. "Okay, she's all yours."
"This should be good," Vivian replied, smirking.
Zoe didn't wait for more commentary. She stepped forward, her eyes locked on the knight. "What's your excuse now?" she asked, her voice calm but laced with a challenge. "I'm a knight. You're a knight. No magic, no flashy tricks. Just swords. Or is this where you come up with another excuse?"
The knight's eyes narrowed, her pride clearly stung. She let out a short, clipped laugh and drew her sword—a massive, two-handed blade that glowed faintly with enchantments. "Fine. If you're so eager to lose, I'll make it quick."
The duel notification popped up for both of them.
[Do you accept the duel?]
[Yes/No]
Zoe didn't hesitate, her grin turning sharper as she pressed [Yes]. The system chimed, and the glowing ring of the dueling arena formed around them, separating the two combatants from the growing crowd.
"Good luck," Larissa called, her tone neutral but her eyes sharp. She knew better than to underestimate Zoe, even when she was holding back. fгeewebnovёl.com
Zoe drew her sword with a smooth motion, the blade gleaming faintly under the market's artificial sunlight. No water, no tentacles, just raw skill.
[Duel begins in 3… 2… 1…]
The knight moved first, charging with her massive sword raised high. The ground beneath her seemed to quake with each step as she brought the blade down in a powerful arc. Zoe sidestepped just in time, the blade slamming into the ground with a deafening clang that sent sparks flying.
"Slow," Zoe taunted, darting forward with a quick strike aimed at the knight's exposed side.
The knight twisted, her armor scraping loudly as she deflected the blow with her gauntlet. "Overconfident," she shot back, swinging her sword in a wide arc that forced Zoe to retreat.
The crowd murmured as the two knights circled each other, their movements tense and deliberate. Zoe's strikes were fast and precise, testing the knight's defenses with calculated jabs and feints. The knight, in contrast, relied on raw power, her swings heavy and deliberate, designed to overwhelm.
Zoe grinned as their swords clashed again, the ringing sound vibrating through the air. "What's the matter? That's all you've got?"
The knight didn't answer. Instead, she pushed forward with a series of brutal strikes. The swings forced Zoe back step by step. Zoe gritted her teeth, her arm straining as she parried blow after blow. She could feel the fight pressing down on her, but she refused to give ground.
"Come on, Zoe," Shea called from the sidelines. "Stop letting her push you around!"
Zoe smirked, her confidence flickering back. "Don't worry. I've got this."
She ducked under a particularly vicious swing, rolling to the side and coming up behind the knight. With a sharp cry, she slashed at the back of the knight's leg, her blade biting into the armor just enough to stagger her opponent.

The knight growled, spinning to face her. "Lucky shot," she snarled, raising her sword for another powerful swing.
Zoe didn't wait for the attack. She darted forward, aiming for the knight's unprotected wrist. Her blade struck, forcing the knight to drop her weapon with a loud clang.
[You have hit your enemy for 1,000 Damage ]
The crowd erupted in cheers, but the knight wasn't done. She lunged forward, grabbing Zoe's sword arm with surprising speed and strength. "You think you've won?" she hissed, her grip tightening.
Zoe's grin turned feral. "No, I think you've just made it easier."
Using the knight's own momentum, she twisted her arm free and slammed the pommel of her sword into the knight's helmet. The blow sent the knight stumbling back, her HP bar dipping dangerously low.
[You have hit your enemy for 1,250 Damage ]
"Finish it!" Larissa called, her voice sharp.
Zoe didn't need the encouragement. With a final, fluid motion, she stepped forward and drove her sword into the knight's chest. The system chimed as the knight's HP hit zero.
The arena dissolved, and the crowd erupted into cheers and murmurs. Zoe pulled her sword free, the motion smooth as she dismissed the weapon with a flick of her wrist.
"Next?" she asked, her voice cool and her grin sharp as she looked back at the rest of the knight's group.
None of them stepped forward.
The once-smug knight's group stayed silent, their eyes darting between Zoe and the crowd as if daring someone else to take the challenge. But no one moved. Zoe tilted her head, her grin sharp as ever, and rested her hand on the hilt of her sword.
"No one, huh?" she said, her voice cutting through the murmurs. "Guess we'll keep our trophy then."
She turned to where Allen had been standing. But as her gaze landed on the spot, she froze. He wasn't there.
