The Young master's fake bride and her lucky system-Chapter 326: Grandma Zhang’s sleepless night.
It was past three in the night and all around the old Zhang mansion was silence. Almost everyone was asleep, except for the Zhang elders that is. Grandma Zhang couldn’t sleep, she kept sighing, tossing and turning all night, which in turn kept grandpa Zhang up.
When he couldn’t take it anymore, he helped her sit up so that they could talk it out.
"My wife, what is wrong? What is it that is keeping you up?" He raised his left hand and placed it gently against her cheek.
He hated seeing her in this way, so disturbed and worried that sleep had been deprived from her. After what he could consider a great day, he didn’t know what to make of her mood.
Grandma Zhang sighed, expressing the dissatisfaction in her heart loudly.
"It’s that NaNa." she said. "I caught her complaining to Xian about all the responsibilities i have given her. She compared herself to Yura, saying that we wouldn’t have given her such tasks.
Yura comes from a good family, she is well educated and handled both her business and the responsibilities at home with grace. For all the years that Yura lived in this house, i never once heard her complain about a single thing and yet this one that can’t even measure up to her is complaining after only a few weeks."
Grandpa Zhang sighed too, his bodyguard had informed him about some of NaNa’s rumblings from the inauguration. She might not have moved her feet but she certainly moved her mouth.
"I don’t understand what Xian was thinking to marry an uncouth woman like that. Even though he had lost his memories, he should have had better taste in women." Grandma Zhang continued airing her displeasure.
"We shouldn’t have let Yura go, she is befitting of our son and they were very happy together. She is perfect for him and for a conservative family like ours in every way. This one is not even willing to change herself to fit into society. Everything i teach her, she takes as punishment. freewёbnoνel.com
I should meet our daughter-in-law and convince her to return home. I believe that Xian and her will get back together for sure if they spend more time together and remember the past."
Grandpa Zhang felt guilty for how things had happened with Yura and how she had left the house. He knew for a fact that they had wronged her because of the love they had for their son. They had closed their eyes to NaNa’s existence in order to get their son back.
As for the past that his wife was mentioning, nobody could live in the past forever. If they brought Yura back to this house against her wish just for her to end up miserable, they would be even bigger sinners than they already were.
"No, let’s leave Yura alone. We have already hurt her deeply by failing to stand firm in dealing with NaNa. Xian is a grown up man that can decide for himself what he wants. I spoke to him about it recently and he told me that he owes NaNa a lot, that’s why he can’t simply sever ties with her.
I think we have been blessed in our old age to be reunited with our only son. Let’s enjoy the blessings and endure the ugliness."
He smiled and added, "But i don’t believe that my cunning wife like you can fail to put one person like NaNa in line. Besides, she is not our Xian’s legal wife yet. Keep trying to teach her the ways of our family, the battle is not over yet i believe."
He pushed her back down gently and covered her. "Sleep. Don’t lose sleep over someone who is sleeping comfortably."
Grandma Zhang laid down and closed her eyes in a futile attempt to sleep. No matter how much she tried to relax and forget her troubles, her mind wouldn’t let her. It was loud in there, like the kitchen of a busy restaurant. Her thoughts might as well have been the deliberate banging of spoons and forks against pans.
She continued to sigh, toss and turn. Eventually grandpa Zhang couldn’t take it anymore. He picked up his phone and called the maids asking for two glasses of warm milk made with the milk powder Alix had given them to be brought up to their bedroom.

The next morning, Alix managed to wake up early and go down to the gym for a work out reluctantly. She dragged her feet because was the kind of person that exercised maybe four times in two weeks.
When she reached the empty gym, she wouldn’t stop yawning. Her mind and body were demanding that she return to the warm comfort of her bed.
She stopped at the nearest treadmill and laid down lazily on it like a cat, just before she closed her eyes. The thought that she should have just stayed in bed crossed her mind.
Ding! You have a mission host.
"No.." she croaked out miserably.
[The system has detected your laziness to play in the third world and issued a mission. You have seven days to take out ten thousand targets.]
She groaned even more, feeling two times more misery than she felt before.
It was true that her approach in the third world was lazy despite the fact that she enjoyed shooting games. Alix attributed this to the fact that all the loot she was picking up this game were weapons.
While weapons that were developed levels above those used on earth currently were good, she couldn’t possibly sell them openly.
They were not like jewels that she could toss out freely in public.
Even if she did decide to sell the weapons secretly, a lot of people would become interested in knowing where they had come from. In due time, something might lead back to her and she would end up in trouble.
She had become addicted to picking up loots from games and using the loot to become rich but it couldn’t be done easily this time round. For that single reason, the third world had lost it’s appeal to her.
In fact, just the day before, she had considered returning to the still open second and first worlds. There was still plenty of loot to pick up over there from simple tasks. Maybe it was this thought that prompted the system to give her a mission.
While she thought about the trouble with the third world, she dozed off without realizing and fell asleep at the treadmill. She even folded her body and covered herself with the thick winter jacket she had carried along.
That was how Bi Cang and her brothers found her one hour later.
They had showed up in time to have breakfast together before setting off for a day of fun as a family. On hearing that she had been at the gym for an hour, they came down expecting to find her sweaty and out of breath, not curled up and fast asleep on a treadmill.
"Wow, this is so cute, i need a picture." Tai Jiaan said.
Others drew inspiration from Tai Jiaan and retrieved their phones immediately. They took pictures of her and with her. Tai Jiaan even shared one with a classmate.
Before Alix could be woken up, someone had shared the picture online.
