The Villianess story: A 100 ways to kill your husband-Chapter 379: The war begins
Chapter 379: The war begins
"Can we stay a bit longer?" She requested to enjoy this moment longer, knowing. It might be the last.
"As long as you want." He answered. She nodded, her smile soft as she continued to watch. Cedric didn’t stop her even though he should be leaving Vitalis now.

A dark presence filled the room and Cedric appeared out of thin air with Abrielle in his arms. She was asleep.
Abrielle had fallen asleep while watching the sky, and since it was day, Cedric couldn’t fly back.
It was brighter and riskier to be caught. He chose to teleport to his bedroom because it was safer. There was a chance a maid was already in her bedroom waiting on her
Cedric walked towards his bed and tucked her in before he undressed to get ready for war. He needed a long bath because he might not have the luxury of enjoying a proper one while at war.
A few minutes later, the door to the bath chamber creaked open, and steam flowed into the bedroom, followed by Cedric.
His air was wet and dripping water onto his face. His perfect torso glistened with water drops. The only piece of cloth he had on was a piece of towel he had on his waist.
Even with the towel on, it wasn’t hard to guess the monster it could barely hide.
Abrielle’s soft breath filled the room. She shifted, turning towards his direction. She was still deep asleep with a bit of drew dropping from her lips and her hair scattered over her face.
Cedric smirked and then moved towards the wardrobe. His armour was already polished and prepared for him. He put on the inner clothes first, which he didn’t require help with, before going to the door.
Evelyn was waiting there with an extra maid, waiting for Cedric to call for help. "Come in." He instructed, leaving the door he had left open.
The maids bowed and walked into the room. Cedric already had his mask on, the truth was that none of his men knew what he looked like under that mask.
"Are the men ready?" He asked Evelyn. His steps moved towards the armour.
"Yes, they are already waiting in the courtyard." She replied, her eyes darting around the room. She was stunned to see Abrielle sleeping on the bed without a care in the world. She was even hugging a pillow.
Evelyn became bashful, her cheeks red thinking of all the things her masters were doing the previous night. Did they have a passionate moment together as a parting gift?
"Did you come in here to help me with the armour or stare at my wife sleeping?" Cedric’s sharp voice snapped her out of her sneaky thoughts. Her expression straightened up immediately but it was too late because Cedric caught her blushing
"Sorry about that " Evelyn chimed and quickly got to work. She tried to focus on her job, but a subconscious smile graced her lips. Her masters’ relationship had improved considerably.
She could see the slight change in Cedric and she truly felt happy for him.
"We are done." They said and moved a few steps away from Cedric bowing. He glanced at himself in the mirror. He looked like darkness itself in his pitch black armour.
"My sword," he requested, and Evelyn quickly retrieved the sword that was safely kept away.
She bowed while giving it to him. Cedric accepted and secured it on his waist. It was time he left.
"Will you be having breakfast before leaving?" Evelyn asked him. Cedric sighed, then walked off. He gave Abrielle a fleeting glance before leaving the room; she was still fast asleep.
"I will have breakfast with the men before we leave." He explained. A majority of Cedric’s men were already on the border giving support to the army. His remaining knights will join a battalion of the king’s army.
The main army was divided into two divisions that both included knights. The imperial army that never leaves the capital with the job of protecting the kingdom’s stronghold and the Hidden army that can be taken to war.
Both divisions can only be led by the imperial family. Lucian will be heading the imperial army as he stays back to protect the capital while Cedric and Alfonso will lead the hidden army to the border. Callista was not joining them at the border because she had to watch over the sick king
The guards bowed at the prince once he stepped out of his chambers. "Don’t wake her. She needs to relax her mind " he gave Evelyn his last instruction.
"Also protect her like your life. I have a feeling Kaiden will die soon. When he does, make sure Abrielle is safe no matter the circumstances."
Evelyn’s eyes went wide, she understood Cedric’s warning. Cedric thought that Kaiden’s death might be framed on him.
"I understand, I will protect her."
"Remember your words," Cedric said before he turned and continued.

"Cedric," Abrielle softly called, burying her face in the pillow that smelled just like him. Her eyes went wide. "This isn’t my room." She blurted.
She recognised his room, the dark-themed design. "Cedric," she called out in panic. She rushed out the door. She could not believe she had slept off.
"Greetings your highness," the guards bowed at her entrance.
"Where is my husband?" She asked them.
"The first prince had already left with the hidden army. By now they should have left Vitalis." One of the guards explained.
"He is already gone." She said disheartened. ’ I guess it’s time for action, Abrielle,’ she thought.
"Tell the maids to come to my room and also preparations should be made. I will be going out." She instructed. She just hopes his plan will work.

Hours later Abrielle was seated in a tea house enjoying tea. Evelyn didn’t understand why the princess suddenly decided to have tea outside the castle. frёeωebɳovel.com
It wasn’t safe moving around when a group of ritualists were after Abrielle. She kept on glancing at the entrance as if waiting for someone.
Abrielle’s eyes sparkled when she saw a familiar figure walk in. "Duchess Danbury." The princess called out to Fiona who was more than shocked to see Abrielle waving at her.
