The Seventh Base-Chapter 605 - 43 Scumbag_2
"...…" Ize’s father looked at Ize and asked, "How much??"
"One hundred billion." Ize said.
"You are transitioning to weapon research and development, aren’t you? Starting off as an energy company and shifting to weapons development, and the order is worth one hundred billion?" Ize’s father was somewhat incredulous. He had only recently become aware of this matter and did not understand much about what had happened at the Mechanical God Arena.
"I’m not entirely sure about the specifics, but the energy company was likely established with the focus on weapons research from the start. The group has been preparing for this all along, controlling some advanced technologies. The revenue from energy has been continually invested in research and development, which is why they’ve been taking out loans." Ize said, "I was there on the scene. The weapons developed by the company are very strong, superior to those available on the market. They probably made a name for themselves in the Mechanical God Arena, thus securing this massive order."
"Are you sure?" Ize’s father asked, his expression strange.
"Positive." Ize nodded.
Ize’s father patted Ize on the shoulder and said, "Ize, about the shares you previously gave to Elizabeth, is it possible to get them back?"
"...…" Ize looked at his father. They had just been discussing giving the remaining shares to Elizabeth, and now he wanted them back??
"They’ve already been given away, and the contract is signed." Ize said.
"You’re really generous." Ize’s father gritted his teeth and said, "Ize, you need to manage the company well in the future. Visit more often, check if there’s anything you can help with at the company. If you need a loan, you can come to me anytime, and I will make sure it gets approved."
Ize was utterly confused by his father’s pragmatism.
"As for Douglas..." Ize said.
"As a shareholder of the company, isn’t it only right for you to stand up against Douglas if he’s infringing on your company’s interests?" Ize’s father said.
"Uh…" Ize looked at his father and nodded. "Yes!"
He was somewhat lost.
At the Carter household, a similar situation unfolded, and the Carter family even agreed to lease a few more spacecraft to Blue Star Energy Technology Group. They made it clear that if there were any needs in the future, just to ask.
As top aristocrats, they had a keen sensitivity to certain matters.
They understood all too well what the concept of a one hundred billion order meant within a few days and the implications: it meant that the weapons developed by the company were extraordinary, indicating control over high-level technologies.
If this growth continued, Blue Star Energy Technology Group could become a behemoth.
The orders for Blue Star Energy Technology Group were still on the rise, but as time passed, the rate of increase was slowing down.
Meanwhile, all the departments established by Blue Star Energy Group were busy, almost all working overtime, particularly Mr. Ross and old Stark and other executives who had hardly any time to rest.
There was just so much to coordinate within the group. Swallowing up so many orders was not that simple, but fortunately, old Stark had the experience, and many things were handled with ease. As Ross and Ye Qingdie learned alongside him, they grew rapidly as well.
It was not until the holidays on Lucas Star arrived that everyone finally paused their hectic schedules.
...
Lune Festival is the grandest festival on Lucas Star, commemorating and giving thanks for the existence of Lucas Star, as well as the pursuit of beauty and freedom by the people of Lucas Star.
Every year during the Lune Festival, the entire Lucas Star would celebrate with holidays. Everyone had to stop their work, and all cities held various festivities, bustling with extreme liveliness.
In a luxurious independent villa estate in the capital of Lucas Star, which belonged to Blue Star Energy Technology Group, the company recently purchased the property in its name. Officially, it was supposed to be the private residence of the president of the company, Mr. Ross.
But in reality, it belonged to Xu Mo.
Everything on Lucas Star that belonged to the Tard people, was his.
Xu Mo was currently enjoying sunbathing, sitting comfortably on a lounge chair. Zero had gone home; her mother had come to Lucas Star, along with Qiong, the old witch.
Xu Mo didn’t dare to pay a visit; he would not go even if his life depended on it. The old witch was too terrifying.
It was far more comfortable at home, with a big house and few people.
Of course, you enjoy yourself when you have money.
Ye Qingdie sat not far from him, unaccustomed to such a leisurely life for quite some time.
"Sister Butterfly, you’ve worked hard recently." Xu Mo said.
"So, how do you plan to reward me?" Ye Qingdie smiled and looked at Xu Mo beside her.
"How about I give you a massage?" Xu Mo said.
"...…" Ye Qingdie looked at Xu Mo’s somewhat inappropriate gaze and ignored him.
"Where is Ross staying now?" Xu Mo asked.
"Over at the Mechanical God Arena. During the Lune Festival, everyone is off work, and the Arena is even more bustling. The competition is extremely fierce; it is a very good opportunity for publicity, and top-level contests will be held specially." Ye Qingdie said.
"That sounds exhausting." Xu Mo thought for a moment and then activated the communicator to contact Ross.
"Mr. Xu Mo." Ross called out.
"My dear Mr. Ross, you’ve worked hard." Xu Mo said.
Ross felt a chill, for Xu Mo seemed a bit off.
"To serve Mr. Xu Mo is an honor for the Tard people." Ross had learned to speak more and more pleasantly.
"Mr. Ross, to acknowledge your contributions to the company, I have decided to purchase an apartment in the capital under the company’s name to serve as your private residence." Xu Mo said.
