The Heavenly Demon of Terror-Chapter 348: The Untamed Knight
Chapter 348 - The Untamed Knight
Roselle's POV
The throne room was draped in shadows, where starlight never dared linger. The walls pulsed with ancient power—dark, divine, and broken beyond mortal comprehension. I sat atop the Crown of Silence, a throne forged from voidglass and devoured time, legs crossed, fingers playing absentmindedly with a thread of darkness that danced between them like smoke.
Then Kaisel entered.
His face was tense, his violet robes torn at the edge—clear signs he had sprinted through half the Obsidian Palace to reach me.
"Speak," I said, not bothering to look at him.
"My Queen," he said, bowing low. "Vez'kar has fallen."
I blinked once, my eyes still fixed on the dark swirl between my fingers.
"To whom?"
He hesitated.
"Kaisel," I warned, my voice now colder than the void between stars.
"To Samuel Gebb."
Silence.
A pin could've shattered galaxies in that stillness.
Then Kaisel raised a trembling hand and projected a shimmering, crimson-threaded holographic screen into the air beside me. A replay from the battlefield in Vez'kar.
I turned.
And I saw him.
Samuel.
Hair like moonlight over tempered steel—white silver, streaked with faint traces of shifting aether. His eyes... not the emerald green of the past I once crushed beneath my heel. No—now they burned purple, laced with divine will and chaos. Eyes that no longer asked... but commanded.
His gauntlets smoked as the body of the High Demon Lord Goaliath crumbled to ash behind him. The ash drifted over his shoulder like a victorious cape.
I leaned forward.
My breath hitched. Just slightly.
Gods...
He looked breathtaking. Powerful. Proud. Untamed. That raw force in him—it wasn't just ambition or arrogance. It was proof. That he had become more than what I'd once torn apart in our second life. And now...
Now he was the one standing over gods like they were nothing.
My thighs tightened without meaning to.
Kaisel glanced at me nervously, as if sensing the air suddenly shift in temperature.
"Should we prepare for war?" he asked quietly. "He now controls Ebonreach and Vez'kar. That's two realms, my Queen. He's challenging the hierarchy of Ascended Lords. You... may need to strike."
I didn't answer.
Instead, I rose slowly from my throne.
Eyes still locked on that screen. On him.
My fingers reached out—not to touch the hologram, but to feel the ghost of his heat in the image. I could almost hear his voice through the flicker of the projection. That arrogant, slow drawl. That growl that used to whisper my name into the hollow of my throat just before— frёeωebɳovel.com
I clenched my jaw.
Kaisel looked away, embarrassed.
"He's changed," I murmured finally, voice low and velvet-slick. "He's no longer mine to control."
Then I smiled.
"But he's exactly what I want."
Kaisel's ears turned red. "My Queen...?"
I turned toward him, walking down the black steps of the dais.
"There was always power in him," I said. "Even when I killed him... I kissed him as he bled. Because I knew—he'd return stronger. I needed to see it. I needed to feel it. That hunger, that madness. That unrelenting will to rise. And now..."
I licked my lower lip slowly.
"Now he looks like he could ruin me in bed."
Kaisel almost choked on air.
"My lady!"
"Don't pretend you didn't notice," I purred. "That body. That stare. The way he wields chaos like it was crafted just for him. That's no longer the boy I broke. That's the man who might just break me."
Kaisel cleared his throat. "Then... what shall we do?"
I walked toward the edge of the throne hall, looking out over the eternal dusk of the Broken System. My dark crown glimmered, and my hair shimmered—black with threads of silver now, awakened by the memory of his fingers tangled in it.
"We don't prepare for war," I said with a smirk.
"We prepare a welcome."
Kaisel's eyes widened. "You plan to invite him?"
"Oh, not in words," I said. "In power. In chaos. In temptation."
"Let him come. Let him conquer. Let him rage and destroy and shatter everything I built—if it means he comes for me."
"Because Samuel Gebb may now be the Abyss King... but I am still the Queen of Everything He Craves."
And when he finally arrives—
I'll make sure he never wants to leave.
