The Dark Rebirth of Pandora: Revenge of the Abyss-Chapter 238: Azazel you mischievous little devil...
Chapter 238: Azazel you mischievous little devil...
"Okay Azazel, like my daughter, you need to learn a few things," I say, holding my daughter’s hand as we walk through the corridors after I found her, who had escaped to kill another maid and eat. I took a bath and decided to teach this brat some things.
My daughter doesn’t even pay attention to what I’m saying, curiously looking at the corridors, furniture, paintings, and especially the necks of the maids and clones we encounter along the way.
My clone said that Azazel tried to attack her when she had escaped before. She has a very good hunting technique she finds the target and starts crying while sitting on the floor, appealing to the target’s protective or predatory instincts.
And when the target approaches, she jumps on them and bites their neck, but when she did this to my clone, my clone correctly analyzed what was happening, and so we discovered how she kills the maids and the reason why the bites hurt so much.
When she bites someone, she forces that person’s blood to coagulate in various areas of the body, blocking the flow of blood and causing problems like strokes. Damage to the lungs, cardiac arrest, and various others, and when this happens, paralyzing the victim due to the damage, she simply starts making the victim’s own blood attack the body.
Turning the target’s own body into a hunting method, the blood that is now being controlled begins to destroy the body from the inside as it follows towards the neck where her teeth are, and she begins to drink.
This kills the target while she is able to drain the maximum amount of blood. This did not happen to me, probably because she knows that I am her mother, so although she bites me, it doesn’t have these effects.
But the coagulation in the bitten area seems to be something she can’t control yet, and this special coagulation causes intense pain due to the changes in the blood, which shows that she is a dangerous predator with high control over blood.
And this makes me proud. She’s already able to do something so complex and elaborate, even though she was born less than an hour ago. She’s as incredible a baby as I am, which is clearly reason for me to boast.
Of course, I started holding her hand because she always escapes if I don’t hold her, and goes after food after drinking a little of my blood.
She didn’t even try my milk, even though the milk contains blood and would serve as food, but she seems more interested in real blood rather than something with just a little bit of blood.
What a shame, since that makes my milk kind of useless, but I’ll make her drink my milk even if I have to force her.
"Mama?" Azazel looks at me, calling me Mama. This really warms my heart. I’ve never felt these feelings before, but I like them.
"What do you need, daughter?" I say with a smile as I release her, but I hear the sound of a maid in the hallway and look at her, immediately turning my attention back to Azazel.
"...WHERE THE FUCK IS SHE?" I was looking at her less than 3 seconds ago, but as soon as I let go of her and looked at the hallway where a maid was passing, and then looked back at Azazel, she simply vanished.
"...HOW ANNOYING" I scream in anger. I hate not being able to find her through mana or my ability to see the future. I just start running, searching the castle extremely quickly.
And I find her sitting on the floor in one of the downstairs corridors. She’s "crying" while a maid approaches to pick her up, obviously she’s hunting this maid.
"I got you." I hold her and lift her up by the cute little dress I put on her. I put her in a black dress with ruffles and red accessories that looked extremely cute on her.
"..." She stops crying as soon as I hold her, showing that it was all a trick to lure the fools who get too close to be bitten and become the next meal.
"Listen here, you malicious little devil! If you run away again, I’ll throw you out the window! Stop trying to hunt my maids I’ve already given you your damn food!" I’m stressed, probably because of the childbirth that messed up the balance of my body.
And on top of that, there’s this girl who seems to be testing my patience. Why the hell do children wander around and put any crap they find in their mouths?
I bet she doesn’t even like the maids’ blood she’s practically doing this for sport, since vampires don’t have a good taste for other vampires, unless the vampire who received the blood was from the blood of a much stronger vampire.
Like in my case, my blood must be delicious for Azazel, but she continues to go after the maids who have blood that she doesn’t even like.
"B-Buaaahh" She starts crying after I’ve threatened her. The tears fall, making her eyes shine as she struggles a bit.
"Stop crying, little daughter, or... a monster will come and eat you." She’s smart, she must understand this. She momentarily stops crying and looks at me in shock, almost making me laugh.
Her face is so cute that I want to tease her more just to see that adorable expression.
"BUUUUAAAAH" But my desire to laugh soon turns to anger when she screams and cries even more. I really will go to the window and drop her.
"..." I know this won’t kill her, I’m just not in the mood, but unlike what I expected, she clung to the open window and simply entered the lower floor.
"WHAT THE HELL! CHILD OF A..." I almost curse myself, then I stop and go to the window, but obviously this pest has already disappeared. I end up finding her biting the neck of a maid, who becomes paralyzed due to the blood clots in her brain.
I hold my daughter and pull her away, making the maid fall to the ground. She won’t die from this, since my daughter didn’t finish.
"...Haaa....haaa" I take a deep breath and sigh several times. I’ve already understood that if I let this child go, she will disappear. I need to find a way to make her stop trying to hunt my maids.
"Daughter, do you want to see your other mother?" I’ll make a Pandora doll with magic. That should make her stop running away and biting my maids.
"Mama?" She doesn’t speak much, she can only say her name and call me Mama. Other than that, she hasn’t said anything else, but she has expressed various emotions, showing that she is very intelligent.
I think she’s selecting what she thinks is important to learn and focusing only on that, like in the beginning where she quickly learned her name and then learned to call me Mama, which are two important things.
One is her identity as a living being, and the other is her provider of resources and the one who will protect her from threats. In other words, she doesn’t care about learning to speak quickly, focusing on what her baby mind thinks is important.
"Yes, your other mother, Pandora." I form a toy with magic that is extremely similar to Pandora. The texture really resembles a living being, although it doesn’t move, and the tail has a physical contact that reminds of flesh, as well as other parts.
"Here! This is your other mother!" I say as I hand her the toy, which is about 7 centimeters tall. Azazel holds it with shining eyes while hugging it, as if she knows exactly what the figure represents.
’So the Tenebris Abyssus can have a sense of who their family is, even if it’s not indicated beforehand.’ This is interesting, and Azazel has calmed down with the toy.
She hugs it tightly, as if it were something very special, which is very different from when I tried to give her something else, and she just dropped it on the floor and ignored it.
To test how effective the toy is, I put my daughter on the floor, turn my back, count to 5, and then look at her. But as expected, she’s here, looking at and hugging the toy with enchantment. ƒrēenovelkiss.com
’This seems to be a solution for now.’ This makes me calmer. At least she’ll be quieter.
"I’m glad you liked it, daughter. Now let’s go, I want to show you a bit of the castle." I hold her hand and lift her up to walk through the castle. She follows me since I’m holding her, but never letting go of the toy.
She looks at it with great appreciation. She will probably be very happy to meet Pandora. This opens a bad doubt there’s a chance she might try to escape and look for Pandora, which would certainly cause her death.
"..." I release her for a moment and raise a powerful barrier around the castle. My castle has already been adjusted for a child, so it’s completely safe for Azazel, but the outside is dangerous.
So with this barrier, she won’t be able to leave the castle at all, no matter how strong and good at escaping she is. There’s no way she can break my barrier, which guarantees her safety.
This makes me more at ease. It would be terrible if she got hurt.
"...DAMN IT, STOP RUNNING AWAY, YOU CURSED BRAT!!" I scream when I see that she has disappeared again, taking the toy with her. I literally just let her go to make the barrier, and she’s already run away again.
If I could die of stress, it would certainly be because of this child. I feel uneasy knowing that she’s alone. I think it’s some strange maternal instinct I have and didn’t know about.
I hate feeling things and not knowing. I seem to like my daughter while also finding her irritating in a strange way. I don’t want to kill her for irritating me, it’s just very uncomfortable.
If it were anyone else, I wouldn’t care that they disappeared, but with her, I get agitated. So I soon start running through the castle and clearly find her killing another maid.
But this time, she positions the doll to watch, as if she wants to show that she can hunt her prey on her own. This is kind of cute.
I pick her up and lift her.
"I’ll forgive you because you’re cute... but don’t run away anymore." I take the toy and give it to her while hugging my daughter. Stuck to me like this, she won’t disappear anymore. It’s amazing how silent she is and how she escapes without making any noise or drawing attention.
In the future, she will be a terrifying hunter who will make her prey suffer unimaginable terror.
