The Alpha's Fated Mate Is an Outcast-Chapter 120
Chapter 120: Chapter 120
"I knew it had to be that bitch!" Sereia bit out. "Who else is such a bitter devil to do such a thing."
She turned completely to face Alexis and asked, "What are you going to do? You’re going to get stronger, right? Once we can merge fully without issues, girl, revenge will not be a problem. We can make her pay for hurting your mother and no one will be able to stop us."
She was peering at Alexis with persuasive eyes and Alexis nodded at her.
"Yes. Yes, I will. We’ll be the ones to kill her with our very own hands."
"Good, kid, good. That’s more like it."

The entire office wasn’t bright but was rather dimmed because the curtains had been used to keep the floor-length window covered.
Keelion sat at his leather chair, head thrown back, and the messy strands of his white hair, pouring backward. He was twirling the chair back and forth, his face turned to the ceiling with his eyes closed.
No word was coming from his mouth. The entire room was in dead silence, except for the blocks of ice inside the cup of alcoholic wine he held in his grip.
He would take a sip every now and then, but still never attempted to get up from the seat.
The door handle of his office moved, but he didn’t stop or turn. The door was pushed up and the very second the intruder stepped in, the glass in his grip went flying and shattering against the wall.
The person, Althea, yelped in pure fright and covered her head with her arms, shoulders, and chest rising and falling in heavy breathing.
"Get out of my office," Keelion ordered.
Althea rose properly and swallowed in fear. "F-fane. I just need to talk to you. You’ve been—"
"Get the fuck out of my office before I lose it on you. Don’t fucking test me!" he warned.
She peered at him and turned, wanting to leave, but then she stopped and said. "Are you going to be like this, forever? It’s been almost two weeks now. Alexis is not coming back to you, can’t you just accept that?"
"People are complaining that you are no longer yourself. You don’t do meetings anymore, you don’t say a word, not even when things are going wrong. Look at yourself." She breathed out, balling her hands into fists. "You are a complete mess. Did you forget who you are? You’re a man who never once looked out of place, and always appeared flawless. And now you’re seated here, your shirt an unbuttoned mess. Your hair is just... I don’t get it."
"What is so good about her? She’s not even something worthy of you. She’s not even worth it, so why are you so obsessed with her? Why are you doing this to yourself as if you couldn’t have anyone better than her if you wanted—"
Keelion was in her face in mere seconds, thick fingers wrapping around her throat. He slammed her roughly into the wall and glared. "Keep her out of your fucking mouth. You don’t know anything!"
"Alexis is everything to me, the only woman I have ever loved. Don’t you get that? None of you could ever be like her, as perfect as she was. You could never talk like her, none of you can. You could never smell like her, smile like her, look at me like she does. She was everything I wanted, everything I liked. And you fucking took her from me!"
Althea gripped his hand that was around her neck and struggled to breathe. "I didn’t...do anything," she choked out.
Keelion’s hold on her throat went botherline tighter. And he leaned closer to her face. "Althea, you irritate me, you make me sick. And do you know what goes through my head every time I see you? I want to grab you just like this and strangle you to death. You make me so angry so if you know what’s best for you, stay the hell away from me and avoid me. That is if you want to keep this life of yours."
"I won’t repeat myself again!" He shoved her aside and left the office, slamming the door shut with a heavy thud.
The man stormed off, heading to who-knows-where, but then he suddenly came to a stop, in front of a door that somehow made him still unnaturally.
Slowly he turned and approached the door, pushing it open reluctantly.
He stepped inside and closed the door behind him, but he didn’t move but just stared at the interior of the room, one which was simply an art room. He’d had Augustus make it for Alexis because he wanted to make her happy.
He’d thought...it would make her happy.
His eyes flickered and he moved over to the cream-coloured curtains covering the window. He stood there and turned to stay in the entire room.
If she were here, he could see himself, walking into the room and smiling at the sight of her, messing around with the brushes and paints.
Painting something pretty.
He didn’t know how to paint, but since she had a talent for it, he was sure she would make a beautiful one.
His hand trembled by his side and he lifted it to his chest, rubbing the pain away and breathing out.
Her smile—was he never going to see it again? The way she would give him that awkward guilty smile whenever she did something wrong. Her soft look that was meant for him and only him. The smell of her, it was all beginning to fade from him.
Was he really never going to see her again? Had Alexis really left him? Without a note, an explanation, without even a goodbye.
Had she been afraid that he wouldn’t let her go if she let him know? But how could he? He loved her, she was his lover, the woman he wanted to be with. Why would he ever let her go?
Did she get tired of him? Was he so unworthy of her to love? Did she find someone better, someone she felt she would be happier with?
Nothing was making sense to him, nothing had been able to make sense to him for the past one week that he’d thought about it over and over again about it.
One minute, everything had been fine and the very next minute, everything vanished from him, taken from his fingertip as if he didn’t have a grasp on it.
Why break his soul this way? After she promised to stay, after...all the plans they’d made.
Did Alexis even truly... love him?
