Tang San's Twin Sister-Chapter 138
Tang Yin stood in front of the tower and stared upwards, then she looked at Yu Hua.
"Should I start?" She asked him, and he shrugged.
"I don't really care; go ahead, " he said, and Tang Yin stepped in front of the Sea Horse Douluo. "Start with me, then."
"I warn you again. This is a life and death matter. If you fail, you will die. Additionally, you will have less time than any sea spirit master. Where they have five years, you will have one."
Tang Yin sighed and looked at the man in front of her. He worried, and she did understand, but still.
"It doesn't matter. These trials may as well be the one shot I have at living. I am a land spirit master and read myself into the rules. I know what I am getting into. Better than I'd like to. Now again, give me those tests."
He stared at her. "As you wish, then." He raised his hand, twisting it and summoning the sea god.
"May the sea god bless you." He said with a cautious look at her.
Nothing happened.
She looked into the sky, expecting something, anything to happen. frёewebnoѵēl.com
They kept waiting. Then the Seahorse Douluo sighed, "I feared it. You might be powerful for your age but too young; the sea god would never..."
Suddenly, the sky started to rumble. The sea horse Doulou turned around as a hole suddenly opened in the sky. A large male figure appeared amongst the rising and darkening storm clouds.
The day's clear blue made way for a night sky filled with stars and a moon that shone far too bright.
"Wha..." Tang Yin gasped as she felt like something was taking hold of her. The pillar started emitting light—first white, then yellow, changing to purple and black, and then slowing down.
The water around them became increasingly turbulent. Tang Yin felt almost ripped off her feet by a storm, like a gust of wind, and let out a small cry when Yu Hua grabbed her arm.
He glared at the douluo. "What the f*ck is going on!" He shouted.
"I don't know." The other man screamed back as the black changed to red. A bright crimson color shone more colorful and brighter as the crimson suddenly was streaked in silver hues and edges.
"Oh fuck..." Tang Yin muttered. "..hey I didn't want quite that high!" She shouted as she suddenly felt herself floating, an unfamiliar energy closing around her and seeping into her.
Yu Hua had been forced to let her go with a shout of resistance, and eventually, she was so high up she couldn't make out his expression anymore.
Human, what the hell are you doing? Get this thing out of my goddamn resting place!
It bellowed in her head, but the voice was drowned in the noise of her surroundings. Tang Yin suddenly felt her wings bust out from her back and tear through her clothing. Her entire back felt almost like it had been set afire.
"Hey-" She shouted as the wings on her back unfolded into their full size. They were bigger now.
Not their small size but giant, twice if not three times bigger than her entire body and shimmering in ominous dark hues. Her blue-silver grass started swaying from below, and thick ranks grew inside the red glow. Suddenly, the silver became brighter and brighter until it swallowed the red.
She felt her right hand properly for the first time in months as it grew hotter and hotter.
Like she was putting it on red-hot coals, she screamed and felt her blades come forward. The two swords floated around her like they were torn out of her body. Moonflowers appeared on the ground below, and the river grass swayed in unison in the tempest-like winds.
Tang Yin cried out in pain as her entire body was burning, a strange, gain energy seeping into it.
Then, utter Silence.
Suddenly, she was somewhere completely different. There were no seas around her, just black nothingness.
"What the hell?" She said, gasping. All pain was gone.
What are you, girl?
The question came from nowhere.
"What?" She looked around and saw no one there.
Just empty nothingness.
You are not supposed to be here. You should be dead? No one should live in the state you are in currently.
"What the flying heck are you talking about?" She shouted into the nothingness. "I am still very much alive and kicking."
And you should not be; this is not the place for you. You are a dead woman breathing. You can go through my tests, but you already carry the mark of someone greater than me.
"What. Who, what is that supposed to mean?"
It means that someone else has already marked your soul, someone greater than me, and that is keeping you alive. I wish you good luck, Tang Yin; no one has survived their trials long enough to make it.
"What trials?" She shouted.
Suddenly, she was back where she had been before, a crimson tower shining as she felt the knowledge and energy seep into her. Slowly, her floating body was lowered to the ground.
The sky above her was still a night sky lit by a far too large moon.
In her mind, swirling strange knowledge.
"Highest level red level examination." The sea horse douluo stumbled back. "But...this," he said and stared at Tang Yin. You..."
"Damn. Now that is hard to catch up to." Yu Hua sighed and stepped forward, interrupting the man, distracting him and drawing his attention. Flabbergasted, he looked at Yu Hua. "Can I get my test, too?" Hua asked him, and the sea horse douluo nodded quickly.
"Yes." He raised his hand. May the sea god bless you." His gaze remained firmly on Tang Yin.
This time, a light came from the tower and changed immediately from white to yellow and then to purple, where it stopped.
Yu Hua rose from the ground, engulfed by a purple sheen. His eyes closed as he took a deep breath and then descended again.
"Purple level one." The douluo said. "It will be a tough trial, but there is a chance of survival for you."
Tang Yin nodded and then took a deep breath. "I need to climb stairs for my test. Where would they be?"
"So do I." Yu Hua said.
The doula in front of them took a deep breath as he stared at them. He tapped his temple. "Could I see your marks?" He asked them, his voice slightly off.
