Super Zoo-Chapter 814 - 793: Kill Them All
Bat after bat swooped onto Suming, their huge wings even completely enveloping him, squirming like a large silkworm cocoon.
With a crack, a bat viciously bit into Suming's neck, its teeth sharp as a fruit knife clenched with full force, capable of breaking through a wolf's skull.
Unfortunately, it had met its match; Suming's neck was nearly as tough as iron. As the bat bit down, its teeth emitted a grating, painfully screeching noise, failing to leave even a mark on Suming's neck.
The defiant bat opened its mouth to bite again, but suddenly its head was tightly seized as Suming grabbed its tiny skull and twisted it a full 180 degrees.
The other bats ferociously bit all over Suming's body, to which he let out a sinister laugh, his hands covering his groin, and suddenly jumped straight up.
This jump was not upwards, but backwards.
Carrying the bats that clung to him, he collided with the castle's wall behind.
With a loud crash, the weight of over a hundred pounds, coupled with momentum, slammed violently into the granite wall.
Blood sprayed everywhere; the bats clinging to his body were instantly crushed into a bloody mess.
Suming rubbed his slightly dizzy head, grinned, and carelessly tore off the bat carcasses hanging from his body like rags and flung them aside, spreading his arms towards the swarm of bats before him and sneering, "Come on, keep surrounding me."
The intelligence of the Mutant Bats was lacking; they clearly hadn't realized that the man before them was someone they stood no chance against. In the blink of an eye, they swarmed Suming once more.
And so it went on and on...
Suming's manner of combat with the bats was fairly agile, relying on the bats' inability to penetrate his defense and making use of the environment to fight, unlike Su Meng whose combat style was more straightforward.
When Su Meng first encountered those poachers, they had fired several shots at him. Leveraging his surprisingly agile movements for his size, he dodged the first two bullets but was still hit by one.
However, the pistol bullet didn't pose much of a threat to him; with his remarkably dense muscles, the bullet was lodged in his flesh, only causing some superficial skin damage.
Compared to pistol bullets, the fangs of the blood-sucking bats were clearly even less effective.
With all his muscles tensed, when the bats deeply bit into him, it was like biting into wood; barely piercing the surface before their teeth got stuck in his muscles, unable to go deeper or even open wide enough to let go.
He yanked them off his body with one pull like pulling up radishes, then slammed them violently to the ground with a swift motion of his hand, and with a heavy stomp of his big foot, he crushed their heads.
With a squish, the bat's head burst into a pulp.
Bat after bat bit into him, his huge body covered in bats, which he would then tear off one by one and stomp to death.
Without any agreement, both men used their bodies as bait, while the bloodthirsty yet mindless Mutant Bats thought they had found a feast before them, only to realize too late that it was a deadly trap.
Time passed by bit by bit, and the black sphere made up of hundreds, even thousands of bats, from the outside looked to be still wriggling madly, but the inner layer of bats was continually decreasing.
"Suming really does have a way!"
A low cheer emanated from the basement, and though it appeared that the bats were swarming and Suming and Su Meng could not be seen, the fact that several minutes had passed and the bats were still congregating meant that the two encircled individuals were still alive!
"But... this can't go on like this." Nangong Yan felt anxious in her heart. There were too many bats, and no matter what Suming and Su Meng were doing in the midst of the bats, they would eventually run out of steam, and at that time...
No, she had to do something! Nangong Yan turned around, her gaze sweeping through the basement, seeking something that might help.
Meanwhile, in the midst of the bat swarm, Suming yelled at Su Meng: "Can you hold on?"
With a tremble of his hands, Suming slammed two bats hard onto the ground, turning them into mush, and then turned his head to give a grin, signaling that all was fine.
A dying bat slammed its head into his gaping mouth; Su Meng, unceremoniously, bit down and snapped off the bat's head—a mouthful of blood, crunchy and satisfying!
While everyone's attention was focused on the events outside the tower, it seemed that no one noticed that in the forest outside the castle, a large bat, nearly two meters in length, did not join the fray. Instead, it wrapped its wings around itself, hanging upside down on a branch, its two blood-red eyes coldly observing the 'battlefield' from afar.
"What a formidable bunch, things are getting more interesting." In another castle's underground lab, Nicole looked at the scene unfolding atop Eibek Castle through the blurred image on the large screen.
The swarm of bats was still attacking, which further convinced her that the other party must possess some special tactics. Otherwise, it wouldn't just be a few people who would have turned into skeletons by now, but dozens.
"What's so great about that?" Rotten-Teeth Locke cracked his knuckles, producing a series of popping sounds, and snorted, "If it were me, with enough time, I could take down all these stinking bats by myself!"
Nicole rarely turned to smile at Locke, appearing to be in a good mood: "That means there's someone among that group who is nearly as tough as you."
Locke grinned: "They're nowhere close to me; I could wipe out those bats alone."
"Because you're the organization's crowning achievement, our dear little Locke; your worth is practically no different from a moving mountain of diamonds," Nicole chuckled softly to herself, then pressed a few buttons on the control console and said, "Alright, that's enough recon for now; don't let the bats actually kill those people. Locke, go tell the security in the castle to get ready, you'll lead the team for a quiet raid on Eibek Castle tonight, and those people will be brought back. Maybe you'll need to take action yourself."
"What if they escape? We're still some distance from Eibek Castle!" Locke asked.
"No worries, I'll have the bats stay in the forests around the castle; they won't be able to escape... Hm? What's happening?"
At that moment, the dense 'ball' of black bats on the large screen suddenly thinned out, revealing the figures of two people.
Due to the immature technology and the distance, Nicole did not see clearly until now and discovered something was amiss. But if one were on the scene, they would have seen much earlier that the crowd of bats surrounding Suming and Su Meng had already significantly diminished.
The ground was piled high with bat corpses; the remaining few dozen bats could no longer obstruct the view.
A few minutes later, all the bats were completely eradicated. Because they served as bait, the mutant bats never even attempted to flee.
Suming and Su Meng, exhausted and gasping for air, sat down on the mountain of bat corpses beneath their feet.
"Damn it! How could they be so powerful!" Nicole was shocked after seeing this scene clearly on the screen.
The last bat in the forest quietly flapped its wings, leaving Eibek Castle, flying toward a distant direction.
A crested ibis unobtrusively hid in the canopy a few dozen meters behind, silently observing it. Seeing the bat take off, the crested ibis silently followed suit.
