Super Combat Soldier-Chapter 76 - Is It Really Her
76: Chapter 76 [Is It Really Her?]
76 -76 [Is It Really Her?]
“Mom, I’m heading abroad to country M for a trip, don’t worry, I’ll bring you back some gifts,” Ye Tianchen had written on a slip of paper, which he then stuck on his mom, Luo Yan’s bedroom door.
“Qianwen, don’t spend all day with that bad woman, focus on your studies, strive for improvement every day, and as for your dating in school, I’ll be watching closely, beware I might snitch to mom, hahaha…” Naturally, this note was attached to Ye Qianwen’s bedroom door as Ye Tianchen left with a mischievous grin.
By the time Ye Tianchen was carrying a bucket of water, holding the remaining slip of paper, and arrived at Qi Ruxue’s bedroom door, he could barely contain his laughter, serving as his revenge for the time Qi Ruxue had made him suffer from stomach issues for a whole day and night just before he left the country.
He placed the bucket of water on top of the door to Qi Ruxue’s bedroom; as soon as she opened the door, she would be drenched like a drowned rat, while also sticking that note on her door, which simply read: Qi Ruxue, you’re a drowned rat now, just to show you this handsome guy is not to be trifled with…
Beyond just leaving that phrase for Qi Ruxue, on the back side of the note was a large ghost face, depicting Ye Tianchen who, although abroad, could already imagine Qi Ruxue drenched and was laughing at her.
Just as Cang Lang had said, Ye Tianchen was a man with a personality that resembled Death God and a thug – utterly domineering and iron-blooded when serious, yet playful and prank-loving at other times, of course, depending on the person; with enemies, he was all about suppression, but with family and friends, he often livened things up because life needed various kinds of adjustments.
After making all these arrangements, Ye Tianchen opened the villa’s main door, stretched lazily, and left, hailing a taxi outside the residence complex and heading towards Kyoto International Airport; looking at the time, it was almost seven, and he still wondered who this person Cang Lang wanted him to protect, going to M country to exchange confidential information, could be.
When Ye Tianchen arrived at Kyoto International Airport, the place was already bustling.
Pulling out the pass Cang Lang had given him from his pocket, Ye Tianchen walked straight towards the airport’s special passage.
“Sir, you can’t enter here, please…” A male airport employee had started to block Ye Tianchen but stopped mid-sentence, stepped aside, and gestured for him to proceed.
“This thing really is freaking awesome!”
Ye Tianchen glanced at the red pass in his hand, continued talking, and swiftly walked through the passage.
A helicopter with international flight clearance was parked in the vast airport, and after looking it over, Ye Tianchen walked towards it, not having expected that this escort mission to M country would even include a helicopter ride; the treatment was damn extraordinary.
Just as Ye Tianchen got within two meters of the helicopter, two submachine gun barrels were aimed at him; two soldiers in uniform stared sternly and vigilantly at the approaching Ye Tianchen.
“Stop, please halt, this isn’t where you’re supposed to be,” one of the gun-holding soldiers spoke.
“Hey, fellas, I’m actually a key figure in this operation; without me, I doubt this helicopter could even take off,” Ye Tianchen said with a smile.
“Sorry, this is a special aircraft, unauthorized persons cannot board,” said the other soldier, equally stern.
Ye Tianchen was almost at a loss for words; he had come to protect the technicians heading to M country, and Cang Lang had promised him three conditions along with ten million, just to get him on board.
Although he had committed to accomplishing the task regardless of the hurdles, facing resistance even in boarding was quite annoying.
“Let him in!”
Just as Ye Tianchen was preparing to properly negotiate with these two soldiers, a sweet female voice rang out from inside the aircraft.
Upon hearing the woman’s voice from the plane, the two soldiers immediately withdrew their guns and stood straight to the side.
“That’s more like it, I’ll mention a raise for the both of you to your superior,” Ye Tianchen said smilingly as he walked into the helicopter.
Hearing Ye Tianchen’s words, the faces of the two armed soldiers darkened, wondering to themselves who this bizarre, unserious guy was.
Could he really be the ace protector in charge of exchanging confidential data in M country this time?
It was somewhat hard to believe.
At that moment, Ye Tianchen boarded the helicopter; not far away, a military off-road vehicle was parked there, with the most formidable leader of the Falcon Unit, Captain Yan Long, sitting in the back seat, flanked by Jiang Meng and Fei Yun.
“Captain Yan, Cang Lang really chose Ye Tianchen as the main force for this mission, just as you expected!” Jiang Meng said, looking at Ye Tianchen’s figure.
“This guy has been all over the news lately, even daring to strike Qin Heng.
He’s pretty fierce!” Fei Yun remarked with surprise in his tone.
Since Ye Tianchen had returned to the city, everything he had done had shaken the ears of everyone in Capital City, so much so that the city was abuzz with talk about him.
This once laughingstock of Capital City, the disgrace and good-for-nothing of the Ye family, seemed to have truly risen, giving the major forces and prominent families in Capital City a suffocating feeling.
“Hmph, Cang Lang bet everything on Ye Tianchen, but whether this young man will have a life after this remains to be seen,” Captain Yan Long snorted coldly.
While Captain Yan Long held no particular grudge against Ye Tianchen himself, he had always been at odds with Cang Lang.
Cang Lang was in charge of the Sky Dragon Team and the direct commander of the Kyoto Imperial Army, while he, Yan Long, led the strongest individual Soldier Unit in China.
Both were among China’s top three War Kings, a competition that covered nearly a decade.
If both had not considered their positions and the potential repercussions, they would have fought long ago to settle who was superior.
Another significant reason preventing a clash between Cang Lang and Yan Long was the third War King, an incredibly mysterious figure.
Even Yan Long and Cang Lang had only heard of him by name, never having met him in person.
According to rumors, the third War King was only in his twenties, much younger than both Cang Lang and Yan Long, which was astonishing enough.
One could imagine a young man in his twenties, already one of China’s three great War Kings, with strength comparable to Yan Long and Cang Lang.
That was terrifying to hear, and the mystery of the third War King was extreme.
Who he was, was unknown to anyone, having vanished many years ago, his whereabouts a mystery.
“Captain Yan, I heard that this time, the government of Country M has secretly hired a Mercenary Group, and even masters from the Superpower Special Agent Team will strike.
I’m afraid just the three of us might not guarantee the mission’s completion,” Jiang Meng expressed his concerns.
“You don’t need to worry about that.
Our Falcon Unit’s instruction this time is merely to assist Ye Tianchen in completing the mission.
The main responsibility lies with Ye Tianchen, and if anything goes wrong, Cang Lang will be accountable.
However, I want to tell both of you, don’t disgrace our Falcon Unit.
If you can complete the mission, I’d like to see what Cang Lang would have to say,” Captain Yan Long said gravely.
Thinking back to the day he and Cang Lang vied for control of this mission in front of the senior leaders, and the leaders finally giving control to Cang Lang, who appeared smug, Yan Long couldn’t help but feel infuriated.
The contest over this confidential mission had been intense between Yan Long and Cang Lang because it related to enhancing China’s overall military power.
Whether it was a sense of honor, a chance for great merit, or simply mutual disdain, neither wanted the other to succeed.
Both were deeply committed to the mission.
“Yes, Captain Yan, we will certainly strive to complete the mission,” Fei Yun said earnestly.
Yan Long nodded, and after one final glance at the nearby helicopter, said, “You better hurry up, it’s about to take off.
Also, if you get the chance, evaluate Ye Tianchen’s strength.
I have a feeling this guy is becoming more and more unfathomable.”
“Yes!”
Feeling astonished, Jiang Meng and Fei Yun walked towards the international helicopter.
In their minds, they were shocked and somewhat reluctant to admit that Ye Tianchen, who was only twenty years old and younger than them, possessed such strength that even Captain Yan Long, one of China’s three great War Kings, regarded him with great respect, saying his strength was unfathomable.
It’s worth noting that even regarding Cang Lang, Yan Long had never taken him very seriously.
Hearing Captain Yan praising someone like that was truly a first for both Jiang Meng and Fei Yun.
Despite being surprised by Ye Tianchen’s capabilities, Jiang Meng and Fei Yun didn’t see him as a threat.
They believed that either of them, if fighting at full strength, could defeat Ye Tianchen.
Given the chance, they would not hesitate to prove the strength of Falcon Unit to Ye Tianchen.
Meanwhile, having already boarded the international helicopter, Ye Tianchen was dumbfounded, and he looked incredulously at the woman in front of him, feeling an urge to thrash Cang Lang.
Perhaps in this lifetime, the one woman who could anger Ye Tianchen was her, and nobody could have predicted that Ye Tianchen was supposed to protect her.
“Sorry, I got on the wrong plane!” Ye Tianchen said coldly as he moved towards the door of the plane.
“Stop right there!
Ye Tianchen, you scoundrel, a man who dares do but not accept the consequences, peeking at me taking a bath, I let that go, but this time, if it weren’t for the country, I wouldn’t meet you.
Can’t you even take responsibility for this much?” the woman stood up, yelling at Ye Tianchen with a mix of anger and charm.

This book still lacks an Alliance Hierarch.
I’m really curious to see who among our “Super War Soldiers” legion will become the first to take the lead…]
