Stormwind Wizard God-Chapter 308: Sacred Meeting
Chapter 308 - Sacred Meeting
There's nothing much to say about the scene where Duke leads everyone to retreat.
He had no intention of confronting Gul'dan head-on in the midst of the orcs' siege. After a few Windrunners had wreaked havoc on the miscellaneous soldiers, Duke opened a portal and retreated.
If we don't leave now, once Gul'dan comes, no one will be able to leave.
The only thing Duke can take advantage of now is Gul'dan's contempt for him, or Gul'dan's conspiracy to trick Orgrim.
Early the next morning, Alleria appeared again outside the Silvermoon Council's meeting hall.
"Sorry, General Windrunner, the Silvermoon Council is in a routine meeting. You cannot enter! The last time you broke into the council, many councilors expressed great anger at your reckless and rude behavior." The captain of the guards blocked Alleria first. The huge kite-shaped shield in his hand was so dazzling in Alleria's eyes.
Alleria tried to suppress her emotions. "Eversong Forest has been invaded. From yesterday afternoon to this morning, we have lost a total of seven battalions. The highest-level requests for assistance have filled up the entire communication room. And now you're telling me not to disturb that damn daily council? We're in a state of war now!"
"but..."
Without saying another word, Alleria threw out the thing in her hand that Duke had repeatedly told her to bring with her last night as a response.
The head of a troll.
Spinning in the air, its long black hair braided into dozens of strange braids was dancing in the air. The sunlight shone on its long fangs, hitting the kite-shaped shield that blocked all information from the outside world, and finally landed at the feet of the captain of the guards.
The air froze for a moment.
There were a team of twelve guards, and each of them stared at the head intently.
The next moment, Alleria opened a bag and revealed its contents.
They were beautiful magic crystal nameplates, which also marked the identity of the high elves' soldiers. When the nameplates were taken off, it only meant one thing - death in battle!
There were a lot of nameplates, and the most shocking thing was that among these nameplates, some of which were even stained with blood, the captain of the guards surprisingly found many nameplates of squadron leaders and even captains.
All the guards' faces suddenly changed color.
Alleria once again broke into the Silvermoon Council that she was familiar with and hated.
The speaker of the parliament got furious the moment he saw Alleria's handsome yet dignified face: "For the sake of Silvermoon City, could you please stop interrupting this sacred meeting!"
"I'm so sorry!" No matter how good-tempered Alleria was, she felt the rage rising to her throat when she saw these high-handed councillors who didn't care about worldly affairs. "Eversong Forest has been invaded. Do you want to stop the 'sacred' meeting and face the coming war only when the Horde reaches this 'sacred' gate?!"
Everyone could hear the almost indissoluble bitter sarcasm in Alleria's words.
"Impossible!" A great lord suddenly stood up and pointed his finger at Alleria, saying in an extremely sharp tone: "No one can survive after passing through those rune stones."
"Huh? No?" Alleria raised her slender golden eyebrows. "Are you sure? Are you talking about this kind of rune stone?"
Alleria took out a piece of rune stone fragment the size of two palms from the package, raised her hand, and threw it to the overlord.
The life span of the high elves is quite long. Many of the council members present here are the mages who arranged the rune stones. It is precisely because of their great achievements in firmly protecting Quel'Thalas that they can transcend the ordinary and become noble beings who dare to challenge the king and stand above all other living beings.
Now, their pride and their reliance vanished in an instant. freewēbnoveℓ.com
Every congressman's heart beat violently and they almost forgot to breathe.
"Lord Moria, your territory seems to be in the southern part of Eversong Forest, right? Do you want to find a high balcony right away to see if there are any flames rising from your territory?"
Alleria's words made Lord Moria's butt feel like being whipped hard, and he jumped up.
Ignoring the clown, Alleria looked directly at the Sun King.
"I don't want to repeat the warnings I gave you before, I just want to tell you one fact - there is no doubt that the trolls have entered our forest, trampled our land, and slaughtered our people. The orcs I mentioned are now following them. They don't have the trolls' agility and stealth, but they have strong bodies and numbers like locusts. They are planning to destroy our homeland together with the trolls!"
Alleria was breathing heavily, her chest heaving violently. The whole hall was very quiet, with only the sound of her heavy breathing.
Alleria raised her head, with endless pain and grief on her face: "Finally, I just want to ask, are you all damn deaf and blind? Do you want all the rangers on the border to die in the battle? Do you want every elf in Eversong Forest to be slaughtered? Do you have to face the hideous face of the trolls and smell their nauseating breath before you admit that total war has come upon us high elves..."
Alleria's voice was very pleasant. As she pleaded, she opened the blood-stained bag again. Countless nameplates poured out and fell on the shiny white tiles, making a tinkling sound.
No matter if it was the king, the speaker, or the congressman, the pupils of every elf suddenly shrank, and they stared at the nameplates for a long time in silence.
Looking at the fresh troll head presented by the captain of the guard.
Sun King Anasterian Sunstrider let out a tremendous roar.
"Damn it—" This time, the Sun King's outburst was not because of Alleria.
The Elf King slapped the troll's head hard, sending it flying into the air. The head did not have a chance to fall to the ground, because in mid-air, it was instantly incinerated by the Sun King's destructive flames.
The hot embers scattered all over the floor of the Silver Moon Council's meeting hall.
The Sun King frowned, and his eyes, which were extremely cloudy most of the time, once again became as sharp as a sword.
"How dare the trolls invade our homeland?" Anasterian was completely enraged. "How dare they do this?"
He raised his head, his expression like an angry brown bear: "We will make them wash away their sins with their lives and blood! Gather our warriors, gather our rangers, we will launch a full-scale attack on the trolls, drive them out of our forest, and use their heads to build our new border!"
