Chapter 635 - 635

The Thor before them was incredibly powerful—perhaps even...

At the level of a self-contained universe.

And then there was his brother, Balder. According to this Thor, his Balder was vastly different from the one they knew—supposedly unimaginably powerful.

Could he also be at a universe-level tier?

Perhaps even stronger?

Odin couldn't be sure, but his curiosity was certainly piqued.

Not just Odin—everyone, including the parallel Thor, was now intrigued by this alternate-universe Balder.

As Odin studied the mighty Thor before him, a flicker of hope emerged in his heart.

Though he appeared calm on the surface, Odin was anything but. Deep inside, he was filled with urgency and dread.

Because he had discovered a terrifying secret—

The secret of Ragnarok.

In the vision of Ragnarok he had seen, the gods would perish alongside Surtur, Fenrir, and other great enemies.

Thor, Loki, himself, and the rest of the Asgardian gods—and even Asgard itself—would ultimately be destroyed.

But that wasn't the end.

A while later, Asgard and its gods would be reborn—their memories erased, doomed to repeat everything from the beginning... until Ragnarok came again... and again... in an endless loop.

This cycle had repeated countless times. And no one but Odin had noticed.

Only he knew the truth.

He was filled with bitterness and fury.

Asgard and Ragnarok—were just a dish.

Somewhere deep behind the scenes, **higher gods—gods above gods—**were pulling the strings. They orchestrated everything, guiding each Ragnarok from the shadows.

The Asgardian gods were nothing but seeds. These gods above gods scattered them, let them grow strong, and then harvested them at the end of their life cycles through Ragnarok.

All the power and energy the gods accumulated over a lifetime was devoured in death by these higher beings.

Ragnarok was just their meal.

A recurring, carefully paced feast...

Although Odin had uncovered this truth, he stood no chance against the gods above gods. All he could do was follow the fate laid out for him.

Until now.

Looking at this alternate-universe Thor, Odin saw hope—a chance to finally break the cycle.

This Thor was overwhelmingly powerful. Perhaps he could resist the gods above gods?

With that thought, Odin hesitated only a moment before saying,

"I need your help with something."

The parallel Thor and others were stunned, while Thor himself was confused.

"What is it?" he asked.

"Come with me."

Odin led him to a palace chamber. After shielding the area from all prying eyes and ears, he revealed everything he knew about Ragnarok.

As the story ended, the room fell into dead silence.

Thor's face was frozen with shock and disbelief.

Ragnarok?

Gods above gods?

What kind of nightmare was this?

His skin crawled just thinking about it. For a moment, he wondered—was his own Asgard also being controlled by such entities?

But... they hadn't shown up during his Ragnarok, right?

Balder had rewritten their fate...

Maybe those higher gods were afraid of Balder? So they never appeared?

Or maybe... his Asgard simply didn't have those gods above gods?

Was it a difference between universes?

One guess after another ran through his mind.

At the same time, he felt troubled by his other father's request.

Sure, Balder had made him feel near-invincible, but going up against those things? Gods above gods?

He wasn't sure he could win.

Coming back to his senses, Thor said cautiously,

"This... might be something only my brother Balder can help with. I'm not sure I can handle it myself..."

Odin blinked in surprise.

Balder again?

He was puzzled.

Could Balder really be that strong?

And Thor's refusal disappointed him.

He was about to try persuading Thor again when—

Both Odin and Thor sensed it.

They simultaneously looked up, staring beyond the palace walls.

A massive, armored female figure wearing silver battle armor and a long cloak was suddenly standing above Asgard, floating in the sky.

Her head was lowered, her gaze locked directly on their location.

Both men's faces changed instantly.

They knew.

She was one of them.

A god above gods.

She must have noticed something—possibly even heard their conversation.

Odin's face twisted with regret and dread.

Then—

The towering goddess extended her hand. In full view of the stunned Asgardians below, she reached directly for Odin and Thor's palace.

Thor instantly felt a life-threatening danger.

He didn't hesitate.

Drawing on the divine power gifted to him by Balder—the power of an abstract concept god—he lashed out!

BOOM!

Golden lightning roared from his body, blasting through the roof and smashing straight into the giant silver hand.

The towering goddess showed no reaction at first. Her expression was cold and emotionless.

After all, a mere Asgardian god couldn't possibly harm her...

Or so she thought.

But in the next instant—

"AHHH!!"

She cried out in pain.

Her eyes widened in disbelief as she looked at her injured hand.

"You... how did you hurt me?!"

She—Cleo, one of the gods above gods—couldn't believe it.

A Thor from Asgard had wounded her?!

Even if she had been caught off guard and unprepared, it still shouldn't have been possible!

As she reeled in shock...

Back inside the wrecked palace, Odin stared wide-eyed.

He glanced at the wincing Cleo, then turned to Thor—who was crackling with golden lightning and radiating an overwhelming aura.

He noticed something unusual.

The golden lightning wasn't just powerful—it tore tiny rifts through space wherever it passed.

And it carried... something else.

A mysterious aura that made Odin's heart tremble.

"This... this feels like a divine aura..."

He muttered, unsure.

Up above, Cleo had also sensed it and exclaimed in disbelief,

"What... what divine power is this?! How is it so powerful?!"

Born of this divine energy... or perhaps infused by it...

This lightning had actually wounded a god above gods.

What the hell was going on?!

Cleo stood in the air, stunned, her eyes locked on Thor with utter confusion.
