Starforce Warriors-Chapter 570: Kill Them All (1)
Chapter 570: Kill Them All (1)
At Firestone Mountain.
A concealed fissure created by an earthquake snaked its way into the mountain. It was just wide enough for a person to squeeze through sideways. The narrow path twisted and turned like a serpent’s trail, leading deep into the mountain.
The fissure eventually opened up to an enormous cavern inside the mountain. The vast cavern bore signs of human craftsmanship and deliberate design. This was a hidden outpost of the Wilderness Free Sect, which had been repurposed as a refuge for the survivors fleeing Liuhe Base City.
“Cough... cough...” A labored cough echoed from a stone chamber within the mountain.
In the spacious plaza below the chamber, many people looked up toward the source of the sound, their faces filled with worry. Moments later, Hu Yuer, clad in a black martial artist’s uniform, emerged from the stone chamber.
“Principal, how is Principal Qin?”
Li Jie, Zhuge Long, and others rushed toward her.
Hu Yuer shook her head gravely and said, “The situation is dire.”
Five days earlier, Principal Qin Dewei had stayed behind to hold off the enemy during Red Flag High School’s breakout from Liuhe Base City. He fought fiercely against rebel elites and suffered grievous wounds. He had remained unconscious ever since.
“We must find medicine to treat his injuries immediately,” Hu Yuer said. “And it has to be high-grade anti-infection and detoxification medicine. The Principal’s wounds are contaminated with Star Venom, a deadly toxin recently developed by the Star Council. It cannot be removed with inner qi alone.”
Li Jie gritted her teeth. “What if I sneak into the city to find the medicine and gather information about the situation there?”
“No.”
“Absolutely not.”
Several voices rose simultaneously to reject her suggestion outright.
Xiao Bidao, who had lost an arm in the recent battles, stepped forward.
"I'll go," Xiao Bidao said, his voice weary yet resolute.
His face bore the marks of time and hardship. It was no longer smooth and carefree but etched with solemnity.
Once a man who had told his students, I’ll live long enough to avenge you all someday, Xiao Bidao now volunteered to take on the most dangerous mission himself.
As the current head instructor of the Cloudy Sky Gang, he had trained many talented young martial artists. But he had seen his students perish during the breakout, sacrificing their lives to protect their families and fellow citizens. Xiao Bidao had been haunted by the faces of those young lives, vivid and full of potential, every restless night since.
They had died heroically, but they should not have had to die so young.
Hu Yuer glanced at the group, sighing softly.
"I’ll go instead," she said. "If any of you enter the city, you’ll be spotted immediately. The Star Council’s Inquisition has deployed Realm of Traces trackers to the city. You lack the experience to deal with those hyenas."
As a former member of the Wilderness Free Sect and the owner of a star beast lineage herself, Hu Yuer had clashed with the Star Council countless times. Her experience in countering their forces was unparalleled.
After some deliberation, the group reluctantly agreed to let Hu Yuer take the risk. But she returned just minutes after setting out, her expression grim and cold.
"The hyenas are here," she announced. "Our outer perimeter squad has already been killed. Prepare to break out immediately."
To avoid alerting the enemy through energy leaks or electronic signals, the base had no technological monitoring equipment.
Instead, dozens of warning teams were stationed around the mountain’s outer perimeter. But when Hu Yuer stepped outside, she found the warning teams had been completely annihilated. Rebel elites were already stealthily infiltrating the area.
Hu Yuer had rushed back to warn the others without hesitation.
"There’s a hidden passage in the back of the mountain. Evacuate Principal Qin and the elders immediately," she ordered. Split into groups for the evacuation. I’ll lead a team to hold them off. This underground base won’t be easy for them to breach."
The fox spirit’s determination burned fiercely. Hu Yuer was ready to fight to the death if necessary.

"Huh?"
Li Xiaofei's ears twitched. He turned to Bajie.
"Do you sense anything?" he asked.
Bajie tilted his head, listening intently.
"Northeast, about two kilometers away. There's a fight: ancient martial artists, star beasts, power armor, and mechs...Wait... black clothing, over sixty years old—"
"Hold on," Li Xiaofei interrupted, wide-eyed. "You can hear colors and ages now?"
"Of course! Look for yourself," Bajie replied, pointing upward.
Li Xiaofei followed Bajie’s gaze and saw a group emerging from a narrow mountain crevice.
Elderly people, women, and children, their expressions filled with panic, were being escorted by dozens of teenagers dressed in tattered school uniforms. They looked haggard, as if they hadn’t eaten in days. Their uniforms were torn and filthy.
"It's the students from Red Flag High School," Li Xiaofei murmured, his star-like eyes narrowing.
That uniform was unmistakable. He would recognize it anywhere.
But what is going on?
Why do these students look like they are fleeing for their lives? Why are they so emaciated and look so downtrodden? Why are their faces filled with despair?
A wave of emotion surged in Li Xiaofei’s heart as he stepped forward to meet them.
At that moment, a sharp sound pierced the sky. Over twenty hawk-shaped power armor units swooped low, slicing through the clouds and forming an encirclement in midair around the fleeing students.
A tall young man led the group of students. His body was honed by ancient martial arts, and his cultivation at the peak of the Meridian Expanding Realm. His strength was formidable for his age.
He glanced up at the battle power armor circling in the sky, despair flashing in his eyes. When he saw Li Xiaofei appear ahead, blocking their path, a mixture of hopelessness and fierce determination contorted his face.
“I’ll fight you beasts to the death!” He brandished his blade and charged forward recklessly.
Li Xiaofei extended two fingers and calmly caught the edge of the blade between them.
“Are you a student from Red Flag High School?” Li Xiaofei asked, his voice steady. “Where is Principal Qin? What happened?”
“Arghhh!”
The student struggled and roared, suddenly releasing the blade and throwing his fists like sledgehammers toward Li Xiaofei’s chest and abdomen.
“Calm down.” Li Xiaofei reached out with one hand and gently pressed down on the young man’s head, holding him in place.
He could tell that this student was mentally and physically exhausted. He had been pushed to the brink of collapse and was teetering on the edge of madness.
“Let go of Yang Zhen!” ƒrēenovelkiss.com
“Fight him!”
The other students at the front of the group, seeing what was happening, were overcome with rage. Weapons in hand, they charged at Li Xiaofei without hesitation, their eyes red with desperation.
What on earth had happened?
Li Xiaofei released a faint wave of energy and the students froze in place, unable to move. Their faces, young, angry, and filled with desperation, stared back at him.
Li Xiaofei's eyes fell on a dark-complexioned girl.
“Deng Li,” he said calmly, “don’t tell me you don’t recognize me?”
The girl, Deng Li, flinched at his words. She scrutinized Li Xiaofei carefully, her eyes scanning his face and figure. Finally, a flash of recognition crossed her features.
“You... you’re... Senior Xiaofei?” She hesitated, her voice wavering with disbelief.
Over a year had passed, and Li Xiaofei had grown taller and more imposing. His aura was far more mature and commanding than it had been before, making it difficult for her to recognize him immediately.
"It’s me," Li Xiaofei said as he released the blade caught between his fingers. "What are you all doing here? What happened?"
Senior Xiaofei! Those words seemed to carry some kind of magic. In an instant, the tall student named Yang Zhen and the other youths froze in place, their emotions visibly shifting. Their eyes suddenly filled with overwhelming joy and deep-seated grievance, like children who had been bullied and had finally found their guardian.
Tears streamed down Deng Li’s cheeks, shimmering like crystals as they fell. But before anyone could respond—
"Surrender within five seconds or face execution. No mercy will be shown." A cold and authoritative voice boomed from the sky. It was the hawk-shaped power armor unit issuing its warning.
Li Xiaofei frowned, his expression darkening.
"What’s going on?" he asked, his voice calm but edged with urgency.
A sense of unease churned in his chest. Deng Li snapped out of her momentary daze, suddenly recalling something.
She pointed at the narrow rock fissure behind her as she shouted in panic, "Senior! Hurry! Principal Hu and Instructor Xiao are in danger... You have to help them. Quickly!"
