Star Odyssey-Chapter 3564: Emergence
Chapter 3564: Emergence
Being an Ortuser granted Shi Lin no advantage in the fight against Sovereign Dou Sheng.
However, it was also nearly impossible for the Sovereign to defeat Shi Lin. The man’s consciousness was powerful enough to ensure that Sovereign Dou Sheng had no chance of victory, at least not without a breakthrough in his consciousness.
Shi Lin threatened, "I'll show your Third Boss a bit of face. Let's stop things here. Otherwise, the combined forces of my Consciousness Domain can merge our consciousnesses to defeat you."
Sovereign Dou Sheng hefted golden cudgel and shouted, "Come! If you have the guts, then give it a try!"
Shi Lin clenched his jaw. "All who belong to the Consciousness Domain!"
All of the Consciousness Domain’s cultivators had automatically formed a spirit treasure formation earlier, and they had been anxiously awaiting Shi Lin’s command. While they did not wish to go against the Grandverse Manor, at this moment, the Grandverse Manor was going too far. After all, the Consciousness Domain was one of the seven major powers of the Spirit Nidus. What were Lu Yin’s grounds for requisitioning the Consciousness Domain’s resources?
On top of that, even if their resources were to be taken, several hundred trillion spirit seeds was far too much.
Daoist Fengzhi had not seen that many spirit seeds throughout his entire life.
Sovereign Dou Sheng let out a long breath. His muscles tensed like a dragon coiling, crushing the void. The man’s ferocious strength was terrifying, and his presence caused the Consciousness Domain’s cultivators to tremble with fear. Even so, some envied him. He was using pure physical strength. The Third Boss had once used physical strength to fight against Wu Wei’s consciousness, and Sovereign Dou Sheng was doing the same in withstanding the alliance leader’s consciousness. Sure enough, when physical strength reached an extreme level, it became incredibly intimidating.
Everyone here wanted to develop their physical strength.
Shi Lin did not personally want to use the united might of the Consciousness Domain, as he was terrified of prompting a visit from Lu Yin himself.
When the Qi family had encountered a crisis, the High Seraph had not protected them. It was certain that he would not protect Shi Lin or his Revolt Alliance.
Unfortunately, Lu Yin’s messenger had clearly adopted an unyielding position, which left Shi Lin in a position that was impossible to retreat from.
At that moment, the wind kicked up in one corner of the Consciousness Domain, and clouds surged into the sky. A terrifying wave of consciousness swept out, shrouding the entire Consciousness Domain in an instant.
Sovereign Dou Sheng immediately looked over, his eye twitching. This consciousness was too powerful for him to withstand.
Progenitor Xi stepped forward, still facing the same direction. She closed her eyes, and a terrifying wave of consciousness shot upwards to collide with the consciousness that had shrouded the domain. freēwēbηovel.c૦m
Shi Lin’s pupils contracted. Could this person be a conscient from the Consciousness Megaverse? Earlier, his attention had been focused on Sovereign Dou Sheng, so only at this moment did Shi Lin inspect Progenitor Xi. Her consciousness was far from weak, being at least equal to the alliance leader’s. Clearly, this was a powerful being from the Consciousness Megaverse.
"I’ve seen you before." Wu Wei’s voice was heard.
Progenitor Xi’s expression grew cold, as she said, "I’ve also seen you. Wu Wei, one of the Thirteen Luminaries."
"So, you did go to the Tianyuan Megaverse," Wu Wei continued.
Shi Lin’s eyes shot back over. The Tianyuan Megaverse? A conscient went there?
Progenitor Xi gravely replied, "So, you really have turned traitor."
"Shi Lin, destroy her! She has forged an alliance between the Tianyuan Megaverse and the Consciousness Megaverse!" Wu Wei declared. As the conscient spoke, a sea of consciousness crashed down upon Progenitor Xi.
Shi Lin did nothing. How was he supposed to react? Wu Wei had said nothing that was even slightly surprising.
An alliance between the Tianyuan and Consciousness Megaverses was both reasonable and justified, given that the Spirit Nidus was targeting them both. Wu Wei’s words merely served to further confirm Shi Lin’s earlier suspicions regarding Qi Gong and Lu Yin.
It was considered common knowledge that a powerful conscient had been behind Sage Qian, orchestrating everything to have Qi Gong steal the White Willow. That incident had eventually caused Lu Yin to barge into the Consciousness Domain to rescue the captive conscients. The only thing that had changed was the possibility that Sage Qian had not paid to be released, but rather been simply set free by Lu Yin, who had already allied with the Consciousness Megaverse.
This made perfect sense. After all, the Third Boss had clearly been working with this powerful conscient for a long time. It was possible that Sage Qian had only been captured as a façade and that he had simply decided to go along with the flow. Just how big of a coincidence would it have been for Lu Yin to pass through the Vast Qian Domain and just happen to find the White Willow?
No, this matter had to be reported to the High Seraph. An alliance between the Tianyuan and Consciousness Megaverses was no trivial matter.
"Shi Lin, are you still not attacking?" Wu Wei shouted.
Progenitor Xi sneered contemptuously. "Do you think that he dares?"
Sovereign Dou Sheng arrogantly challenged, "Do you dare?"
Shi Lin’s face contorted into a terrible expression, and he begged, "Please just hold on for a moment, everyone. This is a matter that must be decided by High Seraph."
Sovereign Dou Sheng raised his golden cudgel and slammed it back down. "Turn over the spirit seeds!"
Shi Lin grew furious. This man is insane! "All who belong to the Consciousness Domain, act now!"
Streams of consciousness shot at Sovereign Dou Sheng. At the same time, Wu Wei also attacked with his Universe-level consciousness. It was like a sea, and it formed his Skyshearer Millstone that pressed down upon Progenitor Xi. When she left the Consciousness Megaverse, she had only been the equivalent of a sequence powerhouse, but after reaching the Tianyuan Megaverse, she had broken through to the Origin realm on the banks of the River of Aeons in the Mirari Realm. Despite her progress, her consciousness was still no match for Wu Wei’s. Beneath the flood of Wu Wei’s Universe-level consciousness, she was only barely able to stand her ground.
A long sword swept out, and pale green sword qi sliced across a corner of the Consciousness Domain.
While Progenitor Xi’s consciousness was no match for Wu Wei’s, that did not mean that she was unable to resist. She was Qingluo Jiantian, and her spiritual force and Qingluo Intent had once forced the Lu family to practice the Origin Progenitor’s Sutra to strengthen their spiritual force. During her time in the Tianyuan Megaverse, Progenitor Xi had transformed.
The battle continued for days, but Sovereign Dou Sheng never lost consciousness. That was mostly due to the fact that Shi Lin hardly ever really attacked. He had been communicating with the Ascendant Hall.
Progenitor Xi spent the time dueling with Wu Wei. While the Luminary’s consciousness outweighed hers, Progenitor Xi could hold on with her Qingluo Intent. For at least some period of time, Wu Wei would not be able to defeat her.
Shi Lin was terrified. The Grandverse Manor had only dispatched two of their people, and yet the Consciousness Domain was already struggling so much. Just how powerful was the full might of the Grandverse Manor?
Wilderness God and the Megalith arrived in the Cloudcrane Domain. They had gathered spirit seeds from the Alin Domain, and they were now making their second stop in the Cloudcrane Domain. However, the Cloudcrane Domain refused to comply with the requisition order, and they instead asked the Primal Beastland for protection.
Wilderness God’s fury erupted as he dueled experts from the Primal Beastland. As he fought, the Megalith also took action.
In the Augury Domain, members of the Zhan family arrived to stop Lu Tianyi and the Pridebeast. The Gate of Laws had decided to intervene, as they had been left with no other choice. The Augury Domain neighbored the Gate of Laws. If Lu Yin were allowed to collect resources from the Augury Domain, it would humiliate the Gate of Laws.
The most shocking events of all took place in the Ghostfire Domain; Seraph Meng Sang had appeared.
The news shook the entire Spirit Nidus.
Seraph Meng Sang had vanished decades ago, and he had not been seen since. While decades were but a fleeting moment for cultivators, the total lack of any information regarding Seraph Meng Sang had been a bit concerning.
He was a Seraph, not some ordinary mortal.
After many years, Seraph Meng Sang had finally appeared, and it was in the Ghostfire Domain.
Luo Shan instantly fled. He knew he was no match for Meng Sang, especially since the Monarch knew that Meng Sang’s disappearance was related to True God. Yong Heng was a terrifying individual who Luo Shan did not want to encounter no matter what.
While people from the Tianyuan Megaverse might not be particularly intimidated by the High Seraph, they found True God utterly terrifying.
Everyone in the Ghostfire Domain knelt in front of Seraph Meng Sang, and the Seraph just stood there calmly.
Before long, the High Seraph’s voice rang out. "Yong Heng."
"I am Seraph Meng Sang."
"Where is Yong Heng?"
"He left."
"Have him appear. He will be granted the title of Seraph."
"It is not yet time. He asked me to give you a message." Seraph Meng Sang paused before continuing to say, "Do not underestimate Lu Yin."
The High Seraph indifferently replied, "In that case, give him a message from me as well.
"Kill Lu Yin. If Yong Heng becomes the ruler of the Tianyuan Megaverse, I will agree to reset the Consciousness Megaverse and leave the Tianyuan Megaverse untouched."
Meng Sang did not respond.
"Are you still yourself?" the High Seraph’s voice echoed out once more.
Meng Sang lifted his head. "Yes."
"The Eightfold Nexus."
Without any hesitation, Meng Sang turned over the sequence base that he had been entrusted with, the Eightfold Nexus.
When the temporal reversion had taken place, Meng Sang had been under True God’s control and had thus been unaffected by the reversion. He had continued traveling to the Spirit Nidus with True God, instead of being restored to the same place as Seraph Yi Shang and the others who were on an expedition to the Tianyuan Megaverse. However, Meng Sang’s memories had been altered, and the Eightfold Nexus sequence base had also been returned to him.
In the branch stream of the River of Aeons, Lu Yin had taken the Eightfold Nexus and absorbed it into his inner universe. Given the fact that the Eightfold Nexus had returned, it was another karmic connection that Lu Yin needed to mend.
The High Seraph knew nothing of what had happened to Meng Sang during his time in the Tianyuan Megaverse, nor did the High Seraph know that the Eightfold Nexus had been stolen and devoured by Lu Yin. However, if there was even the smallest possibility, the High Seraph would still take the Eightfold Nexus and use it to subject Lu Yin to karmic backlash.
Everything returned to normal, and Seraph Meng Sang was left standing alone. He ducked his head, hiding a small smile that had appeared on his face. "As expected, you didn’t see it, did you? This is getting more and more interesting."

There was a region in the Spirit Nidus that was perpetually surrounded by red asteroids. They were filled with magma, which rendered the entire region uninhabitable for any form of life. Even cultivators tended to avoid this place.
By using the power of space to travel, Ce Wangtian and Astral Anura managed to reach this place after several days of searching.
"Here? Really?" Ce Wangtian looked around. "There’s nothing here."
Astral Anura rolled his eyes. "No kidding. If even you could find him, how would he be able to stay hidden?"
He leaped forward, shushing Ce Wangtian with a finger. The two then proceeded to creep towards the largest asteroid.
Before arriving at the asteroid, Astral Anura whispered, "Are you ready? Make sure you’re ready to run at any moment. If this guy loses his temper, we’re both done for."
Ce Wangtian hesitated. "Do we really need to take this kind of a risk? I think that going back to Boundless for some reinforcements is a solid alternative."
"You’re still hesitating after coming all this way?" Astral Anura grumbled while giving the human a look of disdain. Coward.
Ce Wangtian let out a helpless sigh. "How confident are you?"
"Seventy percent."
"Then add another twenty percent."
"Where’s another twenty percent supposed to come from?"
"It’s already on the way."
Astral Anura’s eyes flashed. "Hu Wu and Tian Ya?"
This time, Ce Wangtian shushed the toad. "With the two of them helping out, it should be enough, right?"
Astral Anura nodded. "That will make things much safer. Let’s wait for them."
Suddenly, the toad felt something off about the situation. "Wait a minute, if you could call Hu Wu and Tian Ya for help, then why do we even need him?"
Ce Wangtian and Astral Anura locked eyes, both staring intently at the other. "Don’t tell me that you don’t want to find him."
Astral Anura blinked as he stared at Ce Wangtian. He clutched his steel fork tightly and his eyes grew sharply focused. "You’re certainly sneaky enough! Did you learn this from that Lu brat?"
Ce Wangtian rolled his eyes. "You think that I need to learn from him? I didn’t live for so long for nothing. You hid this guy’s location from him, clearly for some personal reason. If I help you with this and it works out against us, then I’ll tell the brat. If this ends up not concerning us, I’ll keep your secret."
Astral Anura clenched his jaw. "Fine! I’ll owe you a favor."
"Heh, I’m such a good person," Ce Wangtian said with a grin.
Astral Anura was left speechless. He had thought that he was the one leading Ce Wangtian along, only to find out that the Progenitor had been guiding Astral Anura along the entire time. Humans are just too cunning.
Two more days passed. The battle in the Consciousness Domain still had not ended by the time Hu Wu and Tian Ya finally arrived.
Upon seeing them, Astral Anura thrust his steel fork into the ground. "Old man, come out here and give me an answer!"
Beneath the ground, a pair of eyes snapped open. They brimmed over with violent rage, as well as a hint of anxiousness at being found. A claw shot up, striking the fork.
There was a loud clang, and Astral Anura staggered back. He was almost knocked over.
"Who dares to disturb my slumber? You are courting death!" From beneath underground, none other than Emperor Slayer, the mortal enemy of Emperor Wu, rose up. The Primal Beastland had failed to locate the creature, and yet Astral Anura had managed to track him down.
Both Hu Wu and Tian Ya were both startled. "Emperor Slayer?!"
They had never expected Astral Anura to find Emperor Wu Slayer.
