Richard was finally given a break and looked at the assailant’s face. His jaw dropped in shock when he saw the owner of that fist.
"Fei Chuan - it’s you! How dare you do this to me!" Richard struggled to enunciate each word due to his swollen face.
How could it be him?!
And what were his men doing? Why was this bastard able to come inside?
Fei Chuan’s gaze darkened again as he stared at Richard.
His cold stare was so terrifying that it scared Richard for a moment. The latter stepped back as he held his bleeding nose.
"Playing a hero now? I thought she bullied you. Why are you protecting her?"
Richard did not understand this.
He had watched the past videos on the forum where Fei Chuan was severely bullied by the entire school before they got deleted. Fei Chuan suffered a lot of bullying because of Bei Sangyun. It was not an exaggeration to say that Bei Sangyun was the one who made his life difficult. Yet, he was willing to hide behind the person who made him suffer, stick to her every day, and even protect her? Ha! Unbelievable!
Richard suddenly thought of something. He laughed perversely, "Or could it be she gave you something else? You are sleeping with her, right? As expected of a whore’s daughter- Kagh!"
Fei Chuan swung his fist again. His face was murderous as he grabbed Richard’s collar, "You don’t want your mouth anymore, huh? Fine."
Bam!
His fist once again slammed into Richard’s mouth.
Fei Chuan was never violent. Whenever he had a grudge with someone and had to repay it, he did it with his motto ’an eye for an eye.’ He usually used other people’s hands to get dirty. He never used violence on his own because he was physically weak to begin with. He preferred to be the mastermind who used other people than getting his hands dirty.
But now, he only wanted to beat this man’s mouth to a pulp. This disgusting man sat on top of her. That sight still burned in his mind, gripping his heart and sending his blood on fire.
How dare he... how dare he touch her with those disgusting hands of his!
Bam!
That punch made Richard’s mouth spill blood. Richard tried to defend and counterattack, but Fei Chuan was very nimble. He dodged Richard’s attack and managed to land another hit on Richard’s face.
But Fei Chuan wasn’t invisible either. He was hit on his cheek and jaw, which almost made Bei Sangyun step up, but Fei Chuan managed to hit Richard once more, sending the latter staggering back in two steps.
Bei Sangyun immediately grabbed the bat and handed it to Fei Chuan, "Stop punching him. Your skin is getting torn." She looked worriedly at his bruised face. On Fei Chuan’s pale and fair skin was a reddish mark. It would surely turn purple later.
Fei Chuan paused. His murderous gaze landed on Bei Sangyun.
Bei Sangyun was unfazed by the blood on his hand and even put the bat forcefully in his hand, "If you want to beat him up, use this instead. I’ll stand by and keep watch."
Fei Chuan’s grip on the bat tightened. He glared at the woman standing before him, who did not seem shaken or affected by this incident. She looked calm and unbothered, as if this event was not related to her at all.
Why wasn’t she scared? Or angry? Was this nothing to her?
"Is this still a game to you? You almost—" Fei Chuan paused. Just thinking about it made him furious. He bit his lips in anger, "This man deserves to die."
"I know. But don’t dirty your hands. Why fight with fists when you can use other things? That way, he wouldn’t be able to come close to you. Look at your face; you are wounded."
Fei Chuan was silent for a while before finally accepting to use the bat.
Richard stumbled on the ground. He spat out his blood and laughed, "D-do you t-think you can get away with this?" Richard glared with one eye. "I’ll let you regret for harming me. What you did to me, I’ll repay it back a hundred times!"
Bei Sangyun patted Fei Chuan’s arm. "I think he needs to be beaten up more. But don’t let him die yet."
Fei Chuan obediently raised his hand with a bat. Richard instinctively moved back, frightened. He called loudly, "Da Li! Come here! Da Li!"
Fei Chuan continued to approach him. "It was no use calling your lackeys."
Richard suddenly had a bad premonition. Fei Chuan had come here unobstructed, and the noise here should have made his men come here, but why was there only silence outside?
Another person suddenly barged into the warehouse. Zhong Cheng showed up with a messy appearance. "Brother-in-law, we have taken care of them!"
Richard paled. Da Li gathered a lot of men and were standby outside. But they were all taken care of in a short period?
"Did you see now? No one’s coming to help you." Fei Chuan said in a cold tone.
Richard glanced at the bat that Fei Chuan was holding. His body trembled. Being punched continuously in the face had put him in so much pain that he almost fainted. How could he stand being beaten up by such a hard alloy? His skull might break this time!
"...Y-you won’t get away with this! If you hurt me, my family won’t let you go!"
Fei Chuan was unfazed by his threats. He continued to step forward as he dragged the baseball bat. It made a dragging sound across the floor.
A while later, Richard was almost beaten to half-death when Fei Chuan stopped. Richard had fainted, and there was no use in beating him up anymore.
Fei Chuan passed the bat to Zhong Cheng. "Drag this man outside. Make sure the others see how their boss looked like."
Zhong Cheng shuddered as he accepted the baseball bat. He watched as Fei Chuan beat up Richard with the baseball bat. He only targeted the areas that would be painful but would not make the other’s life critical. Despite the murderous look on his face, Fei Chuan was still rational and cool-headed.
As expected of the person their boss set her eyes on! Zhong Cheng couldn’t help but view Fei Chuan differently from this incident. The seemingly most fragile and weak person among their group was the most ruthless and shrewd, just like their boss!
Bei Sangyun gave a cold glance to Richard, who was being dragged outside. She walked towards Fei Chuan. "Now let me see your hands."
Fei Chuan turned to her, but he did not reach out his hands to her. He squinted his eyes, "What if I did not come on time? What would you have done? Would you have allowed that bastard to do whatever he wants with you?"
Fei Chuan couldn’t read Bei Sangyun’s mind, nor could he predict her actions. She was eccentric, and she acted many times against his expectations. That’s why he was more anxious when it comes to her.
If he hadn’t come on time, would she have given up and ended up being assaulted?
Perhaps for her, it wasn’t a big deal. She did not even look afraid or bothered by the situation.
The image of the earlier scene came to his mind again. His heart tightened as he thought of the worst thing that might have happened if he did not come on time. His jaw clenched. "Why did you even come with him here alone in the first place? Do you think you can handle him?"
Bei Sangyun was taken aback by the fierce look in Fei Chuan’s eyes. She thought he had vented up his anger while beating Richard. Why was he still angry?
"They said they took you to this place, so I came in a hurry. But I did not come here without a plan-"
"What?" Fei Chuan’s voice turned grave. Bei Sangyun had almost been violated because of him?
His eyes turned colder, "They said that? And you believed them?"
Bei Sangyun: "...." Why was he getting angrier?
"You are smarter than that. It’s obvious that it was a trap." Fei Chuan stressed.
Bei Sangyun blinked. Well, she only realized that it was a trap after she set foot into the warehouse. When she heard that Fei Chuan was taken away, her first response was not to doubt it but to figure out how to save him.
So she ordered that lackey to call Zhong Cheng and others to follow her to the warehouse while she ran to that place to buy more time for Fei Chuan. The sight of Fei Chuan limping away in the past life came to her mind. She thought that the same thing might happen again if she came too late.
Bei Sangyun looked away from his prying eyes, "...Well, I wasn’t able to think clearly about it. Anyway, if you hadn’t come, that man’s skull would have been broken."
Fei Chuan narrowed his eyes, "Do you think a baseball bat can make him defenseless?" He pulled her arm and raised it, "This thin arm of yours might break first before you can strike him again. You will just make him angrier and come at you more harshly."
Bei Sangyun frowned. Why was Fei Chuan making her appear as if she was a dumb fool who faced Richard recklessly?
"For your information, I kicked his balls. I must have done more damage to his body than you."
"And you are proud of that? You won’t be lucky again next time, Bei Sangyun. In this situation, it would have been better if you hadn’t come at all. It’s not like you are worried about me nor am I important to you."
