Sorcerer Supreme at Hogwarts (English Versión)-Chapter 161: Plans, Proposals, and Secrets
Chapter 161 - Plans, Proposals, and Secrets
Plans, Proposals, and Secrets
.....
N/A: Let's take a break from the gladiators so that not every Chapter is pure combat. Though, I must say, I'm intrigued to see what other fights could be imagined. I'm currently designing a qualifier, and any idea might spark something epic.
...
Stephen was calmly having tea with his grandmother and Fleur while they discussed their future plans.
"Fleur, what do you plan to do now that your studies are over?" Perenelle asked with a smile.
"Grandma, Fleur is a rich girl. She'll probably take over her father's business," Stephen teased, only for Fleur to quickly pinch him for interrupting.
"Hey, that's marital violence!" Stephen said with a grin.
Fleur ignored him and answered Perenelle.
"Actually, I was planning to work part-time at MagicTech to gain experience," Fleur said quickly, throwing a mocking glance at Stephen.
"So my company is just a testing ground for you?" Stephen asked.
"You can't call it your company when your younger brother is listed as the president," Fleur teased. "By the way, he already agreed to hire me," she added quickly.
Just as she said that, Tony happened to be walking by, chatting casually with Harry.
"Hey, you! Stop right there!" Stephen quickly called out to him.
"What is it? Your hand didn't turn out right?" Tony asked, approaching with interest.
"No, the arm is perfect. After all, I helped design it too. We might even win a Nobel Prize for it," Stephen said proudly before abruptly changing the subject. "Did you hire my girlfriend without telling me?"
"Of course. She's my sister-in-law, and, more importantly, she's good at her job. Better than you, who haven't shown up at the company in weeks," Tony replied casually.
"Harry, do you want to work at MagicTech after you finish your studies?" Tony asked.
"No. I'd like to become an Auror," Harry said, rejecting the idea outright.
"Then you'll have to improve your Potions grades," Stephen teased. "It's embarrassing that the grandson of the famous Nicolas Flamel has bad grades in Potions. I mean, it's not Alchemy, but Potions and Alchemy go hand in hand," he added, mocking Harry.
"Tsk. It's not my fault. Snape nitpicks every tiny mistake in my potions," Harry grumbled.
"Or is it because you can't go a second without being sarcastic to him?" Stephen countered.
"Sorry to interrupt, is Harry here?" Sirius asked as he entered the room.
"Padfoot, what do you need?" Harry asked quickly.
"The old man wants to see you for some reason," Sirius said with annoyance, referring to his grandfather, Arcturus Black.
Sirius had wanted to move to Flamel Island, but the old man hadn't allowed it. Instead, he permitted a portal to be created to Black Castle, making Sirius live there as the heir. Not that it changed much, since he could simply cross the portal and walk a few minutes to Harry's house.
"Grandfather Arcturus? Did he say why?" Harry asked, wondering what he could possibly want.
"Not really. That old grouch found an ancient book, but he wouldn't tell me what it was about," Sirius replied.
Just then, Natasha arrived, seemingly looking for Stephen.
"I need you to send me to my mother," Natasha said abruptly.
"Wow... 'Hey, little brother, how are you?' isn't the first thing out of your mouth, huh?" Stephen teased.
"Hello, brother, how are you? I need you to send me to my mother," Natasha said flatly. She didn't seem in the mood for jokes.
"What's wrong, Nat?" Perenelle asked with concern.
Natasha looked at her grandmother and the others, realizing she was among trusted people. She sighed before speaking.
"My mother might know something about what the Vallois family knew. I need to find out what and why the previous patriarch said those words before dying," Natasha explained.
"Then I'm coming with you," Sirius said quickly.
"Why would I take you to see my mother?" Natasha asked, staring at Sirius.
"Hey, I got hurt helping you catch that Vallois guy. I should have the right to snoop," Sirius said with a grin.
"It's unnecessary. Whatever I learn, I'll tell you all later," Natasha stated, sending a look at Stephen, signaling him to send her to her mother. She was currently in the mountains, in a place difficult to access due to anti-Apparition protections, and she didn't have a jet to use.
"And how do we know you're telling us the whole story? Need I remind you that when we were tracking that guy, you didn't say a word until he showed up in front of us with hundreds of traps, and then the Muggle military started shooting at us?" Sirius retorted.
"Alright. Just go together. I don't have time to listen to your lover's quarrel," Stephen said as he quickly opened a portal, shoving them both in before closing it under everyone's watchful eyes.
"Hey, that was getting interesting," Tony said with a grin.
"Then I'll go see what Grandfather Arcturus wants. Coming?" Harry asked Tony, who, having nothing better to do, decided to tag along.
Now that everyone had left, only Stephen, Fleur, and Perenelle remained to continue their conversation.
"Where were we?" Stephen asked casually.
"When are you getting married?" Perenelle asked with a smile.
"When I finish my studies at Hogwarts," Stephen answered automatically.
"Ah..." he muttered, realizing he had just blurted out his plans before even asking Fleur.
Meanwhile, Fleur, who had been sipping her tea, suddenly choked. Stephen reacted immediately, handing her a napkin and gently patting her back.
"Why have I never heard about this?" she asked as she recovered.
"Well... now you have," Stephen said with a grin. "Though I had a grand plan for the proposal..." he added with a hint of disappointment.
"Good, then this doesn't count. You have to propose properly," Fleur declared quickly before standing up, trying to hide her happiness and embarrassment. "I'm going to visit my mother," she added before practically running off with joy, probably to share the news.
"It looks like you'll have to make a high-level proposal," said Perenelle, smiling and full of happiness.
"Obviously, I already had that planned," Stephen replied calmly.
His gaze then shifted to a corner where there seemed to be some kind of corpse... though it was breathing, so not entirely.
"And what happened to her?" Stephen asked, pointing at what was actually Wanda, lying on the floor, depressed.
"I don't know. She seemed to be reading the laws of England and France, and then she just stayed there, not wanting to talk to anyone," said Perenelle, a little concerned.
"Marriage..." Wanda whispered, barely audible.
"What?" Stephen asked as he approached to poke her with a spoon.
"Same-sex marriage is still not legal in France or England!" Wanda shouted furiously before sinking back into depression.
Stephen and Perenelle immediately understood.
"Well... that... I don't know what to say," said Stephen, unable to find the right words to help.
"But in the magical world, there is no such rule," Perenelle said quickly.
"What?" Wanda shot up, looking at her grandmother as if she were her savior.
"You read the Muggle laws of France and England, but in the magical world, there is no such rule"neither for nor against," Perenelle explained swiftly.
"Great!" Wanda exclaimed, instantly recovering her energy. "Then I have things to plan," she said, dashing off like a hurricane.
"Haha. It seems your sister had the same plan as you," Perenelle commented quickly. "After all, you two are alike."
"Tsk. We are not alike," Stephen huffed immediately.
Perenelle gave him a long, knowing look with a smile.
"Really?" she asked quickly.
"Well... maybe in appearance... I'm off to make my plans," Stephen said hastily.
Just then, he crossed paths with Loki, who was coming down from the second floor, calmly reading a book"just in time to hear a voice from outside the mansion calling for him.
"Loki, let's play!" It was Astoria's voice.
Meanwhile, Perenelle sat watching the scene with interest.
–––––––––––––––––––.
"I don't know why you followed me, but you'd better keep your mouth shut in front of my mother," Natasha said quickly as she walked through a small village, with Sirius following behind her.
"Of course, don't worry," Sirius replied with a smile.
They arrived at a house, and Natasha knocked on the door in a specific pattern. Though her mother had eased up a bit on her excessive vigilance, it wasn't something she could shake off easily after living that way for so long.
After a few moments, noises were heard behind the door before it opened quickly. A woman with a big smile appeared, looking at Natasha with affection.
"Hello, Mother. It's been a while," Natasha greeted happily, seeing her mother after so long.
"Of course, it's been a while. You seem quite busy if you can't even visit your own mother," she said with mock annoyance before pulling her into a tight hug.
Then, she noticed Sirius's presence.
"And he is...?" she asked, staring at him as if scanning him.
"He's a friend," Natasha answered calmly.
"Hello, ma'am. A pleasure. I'm Sirius Black III, and I have the honor of being your beautiful daughter's friend," Sirius introduced himself with elegance and nobility, which made Natasha give him a strange look"he didn't usually act like that.
"Black? Do you know Arcturus?" she asked quickly, surprised.
"He's my grandfather," Sirius replied.
"I see, so you're the one he was talking about. That's certainly a coincidence... Come in," Natasha's mother said, inviting them inside.
