Shota's Isekai NTR Adventure-Chapter 1505: Magic ruins (5)
The low grade spells continued to rain down from the roof, but they just couldn't do a single thing since all of them were stopped by the magic barriers that had been raised.
At this point, it just seemed like a waste of mana.
Even without my barrier, it would have been enough.
After all, even the barrier of the younger students were able to easily block against these spells.
If one couldn't block these spells, then they wouldn't be able to call themselves a magician.
That was the level of spells that was raining down on them.
The only thing that would be a concern would be if the spells rained down continuously.
After all, it took mana to keep the barriers up and no matter how skilled a magician was, it was impossible for them to have enough mana that they would be able to keep a barrier up forever.
But it turned out that this concern was unnecessary.
The spells that had been released by those magic arrays suddenly came to a stop.
Well, it wasn't that sudden since the light had been slowly fading away from the magic arrays to show that they were running out of power. Though it didn't seem like this was because the magic arrays had run out of mana and that they had stopped on their own. fɾeeweɓnѳveɭ.com
Right after the spells stopped raining down, there were targets that suddenly appeared out of the ground all around us.
There were no instructions at all, there were just these targets that seemed to suddenly sprout out of the ground.
Though these were targets, there wasn't a single person that actually did anything to them.
After all, it seemed too suspicious that these targets would suddenly appear like this.
It didn't seem like there was anything good about these targets, so none of them actually did anything to them.
That was until I suddenly raised my hand and sent out a fireball spell.
The moment that the fireball made contact with the first target, it completely burnt it to ashes. However, the fireball spell didn't stop after hitting the first target, it continued going forward at the other targets as well until everything in its path was burnt away.
But even then, it didn't seem like the fireball was about to stop.
It was as if the fireball was going to keep going until it disappeared without a trace in the distance.
Before it could actually do that, it was as if there was something invisible that suddenly stopped the fireball. It seemed to be some kind of barrier that was placed as some form of boundary to this place.
With how easily it scattered the flames of the fireball, it was enough to show the power that was behind this barrier.
Or it could be said that this was simply the boundary of this space.
Anything beyond that wouldn't be allowed to pass.
Once the targets had been burned up, there were new targets that instantly appeared where the burned ones had been. It didn't seem like there would be an end to the number of targets that would appear with the way that they kept appearing.
Seeing that nothing bad happened, the rest of the students started using their spells to destroy the targets.
They still didn't know what these targets were, but since they were here and the targets were presented to them…
The key thing was that they trusted the teachers not to put them in harm.
This continued for a while until the same voice as before suddenly said, "Test complete."
As soon as this voice fell, the target all disappeared.
Even though there were spells that were flying at them, the targets just disappeared without a trace before these spells could hit.
It was as if they vanished into thin air with the way that they disappeared.
All of the students looked around with confused looks when they saw the targets disappear, but it didn't take long for something else to appear that took their attention.
There was this screen that appeared in front of them that showed a score.
It seemed that this was a real test with the way that the score was being displayed.
Only they didn't have an idea of what was being tested.
"Defense and offense?" Those were the only two words that were on the screen along with the score.
As for what these scores represented…
After thinking about it, they had a gist of what these scores represented.
There was only one thing that it could have represented.
The magic spells that rained down on them and the targets that they had to destroy, that was the test that they had just gone through.
As for the reason why they were able to figure this out, it was all because of the one that took the top scores in both defense and offense.
I was the one that took the top score.
I wasn't surprised since in terms of offense, there was no one that beat me in terms of targets destroyed. Just a single fireball had been enough to wipe out legions of the targets that formed.
There was no one that had been able to match my destructive might.
It was just the defense part that surprised me since I didn't think that I did the most in terms of defense.
There were those that had blocked more of the spells than me.
Still it didn't matter that I took first in these two charts since this wasn't an individual test in the first place.
At the very top was the combined score that everyone got, so it seemed to be a test that one took as a team.
After this screen was shown for a bit, there was a sudden change that came over the screen as what was shown changed.
It was no longer showing the score, but rather a wall of text.
For those that didn't understand, it wouldn't mean anything.
But for those that did, it was something very shocking.
That was why looks of shock appeared on the faces of all the students.
