Shido was looking at Rumia's stats, seeing her current level and other information. However, from Rumia's perspective, Shido was staring at her intensely without saying anything was making her embarrassed. It was the first time was was stared like this with those kinds of eyes that seemed to see through her clothes. Even when she was still a princess or when she was living with her dear friend, Sistine, no one would look at her with such eyes.
However, strangely enough, she didn't hate his gaze at all. Rumia just felt a little shy that Shido didn't say anything while gazing intensely at her body making her face blush hard.
"M-Master?" Rumia called to him meekly.
Shido had just finished looking through her stats and was satisfied with it since even though she was just level 26, she had high attributes especially her INT indicating her talent in magic. He then heard Rumia called her with a stuttering voice pulling him back to reality.
Shido blinked and looked up, only to notice the faint flush on Rumia's cheeks. It was then he realized that the position of his gaze when he look at her stats were directed to her chest causing her to be embarrassed.
'Ah... crap.'
It wasn't intentional, but the system interface had hovered at that height, giving the wrong impression.
He quickly averted his eyes and cleared his throat, deciding not to mention it. Bringing it up would only make things more awkward, and judging by how red her face already was, she might just melt from embarrassment if he said anything.
"My name is Itsuka Shido, you can just call me by Shido. I'm not used being called master by someone." Shido said while revealing a friendly smile.
Rumia hesitated for a moment, her fingers lightly clutching the hem of her skirt. "...Then... Shido-san," she said softly, a hint of shyness lingering in her voice. But she still honored his request because it was what he wanted.
"Good." Shido nodded in satisfaction.
"Right. Are you aware of why you are suddenly transported here?" Shido asked curiously since he could tell that Rumia wasn't that surprised or confused when she arrived.
"Mmm." Rumia nodded gently, her voice soft but steady. "The system implanted some information in my mind about you, summoning, and world travel. So I have a general understanding of what's happening."
She offered a faint, reassuring smile as she explained, but her eyes flickered with a trace of emotion.
Truthfully, she was very surprised when she was suddenly teleported in the middle of the forest since she was walking to school with Sistine when she was suddenly transported in front of Shido. She became anxious when she Rumia thought about Sistine panicking when she suddenly disappeared, but she couldn't do anything now that she was transported to another world.
"What's wrong?" Shido noticed the change in her expression and quickly asked her with concern laced in his voice as he took a step closer.
Rumia parted her lips, hesitant at first. She lowered her gaze, her fingers nervously intertwining. But after a brief pause, she chose to speak from the heart.
"Actually... I'm worried about my friend back in my world," she said quietly. "We were walking to school together, and then I suddenly disappeared without a word. I'm afraid she's panicking, wondering where I went."
Shido listened carefully, his expression softening with empathy. He could hear the concern in her voice, the worry that she'd left someone she loved behind, without explanation. Shido felt guilty about this since he was the one who caused her to have this kind of problem. Although unintentional, Shido was still the one that summoned her to this world.
He took a deep breath and gave her a reassuring smile.
"You don't need to worry," he said calmly. "Time in your world is frozen from the moment you came here. Nothing will change there until you return. For them, not even a second has passed."
Rumia's eyes widened slightly, her lips parting in surprise. Then, slowly, her tense shoulders relaxed and the weight of guilt seemed to lift just a little.
With Shido's explanation, Rumia gently patted her chest and finally heave a sigh of relief. She was worried about Sistine panicking after her sudden disappearance, but it seemed that she no longer have anything to worry about anymore.
Shido was looking at Rumia sighing in relief, however, he unintentionally saw the movement of her breast moving up and down. He was momentarily stunned, but he quickly snapped out of his daze and nodded to himself while praising her beautiful figure inside his head. She was just 15 years old and she was developing rather well. Shido had to admit that Rumia's body was truly alluring.
Rumia had already noticed Shido's gaze lingering on her chest, and a soft blush crept across her cheeks. However she didn't reprimand him. Instead, although she felt shy about Shido's gaze that wasn't hiding his desire, Rumia actually felt quite please. Knowing he found her attractive stirred a warmth in her heart, even if it embarrassed her.
However, as his gaze continued, her composure began to waver. Her face flushed even deeper, and she eventually reached her limit.
"S-Shido-san... p-please, don't stare so much at me," she said softly, glancing away with a side-eyed look that was more bashful than before.
Realizing he'd been caught, Shido blinked and quickly averted his eyes, coughing awkwardly into his hand.
"Sorry, Rumia," Shido said, scratching his cheek with a slightly embarrassed smile. "You're just so beautiful, I couldn't help myself."
His honest words only deepened Rumia's blush, but there was a subtle spark of joy in her eyes. She looked away shyly, twirling a strand of her blonde hair between her fingers.
"N-No, it's okay," she murmured. "You can look... just, um, maybe not too much, okay?"
Her voice was soft, hesitant, but sincere and it caught Shido completely off guard. He blinked, stunned by her unexpected response.
'Did she just give me permission?' he thought, eyes widening for a moment before he quickly reined in his imagination.
