Reborn With A Technology System In A Fantasy World-Chapter 65: Back At The Workshop
Chapter 65: Back At The Workshop
Adrian stood patiently as the outpost’s guards conducted their routine search. He still had to abide to the Association’s rules of surrendering 50% of one’s haul.
And while, he had his [Inventory] to evade that. He still sometimes carried something to hand over; just enough to keep the guards satisfied without raising questions.
Adrian handed over the sturdy bag containing the Shadow Wolf bones and two Magic Crystals after the search.
The guard opened it, inspecting its content, before setting aside half the bones, and one of the Magic Crystals.
The bag and its remaining content were then returned to Adrian.
"Clear," the guard said after, waving him through.
Adrian gave a forced smile, slinging the bag over his shoulder as he stepped past the checkpoint. The exchange was routine, but it left him with a quiet satisfaction, he’d kept the bulk of his haul even though he didn’t need them too much.
With the outpost behind him, Adrian made his way to the Association building, its stone facade looming against the darkening sky.
The structure was less active at that time of the day, but adventurers and officials still moved in out as he entered.
He approached the mission desk, where a different receptionist from the one in the morning sat.
He submitted the parchment he was handed earlier, he took out the Magic Crystal and gave her the bag too.
"Impressive," she muttered after going through the bag and parchment. "You’ve completed the mission, and you’re eligible for the 200 gold coins reward."
Adrian only watched her as she moved her hands below the desk and withdrew a pouch of 200 gold coins before handing it over to him.
Leaving the building, Adrian stepped into the cool evening air. He glanced at his panel:
[5:58 PM].
’I’ve spent a lot of time already,’ he thought. "But at least I achieved all my goals; tested the suit, completed the mission, and made the most out of the two deals. Not bad for a day’s work."
’I’ll return next weekend for the goods I ordered. I’ll only hope my plan for more passes works.’
With a final glance at the Association, Adrian murmured to himself, "I guess it’s time to return to the Academy."

By the time Adrian reached the Academy gates, the night was fully upon him.
The pass he’d used to leave was inspected by the gate guards before he was granted access.
Adrian headed straight for his dorms the moment he stepped in.
Opening the door to his room, he immediately noticed Karl’s absence. The space was quiet, the bed opposite his room mate made.
’It’s past dinner time,’ he thought, glancing at the clock he had hanged on the wall. ’I wonder where he is?’
He shrugged it off, guessing Karl had likely visited the club center.
Adrian left to the public bathroom outside to refresh and after he was done, he couldn’t help but notice.
Surprisingly, he felt no hunger despite having eaten only breakfast.
’Master Von was right. Whenever I sit to cultivate, it’s like my body’s being fed with the mana.’
It was a very helpful revelation, at least he wouldn’t need to waste time on food. With everything out of the way, Adrian decided rest was his priority.
His arm still throbbed painfully and he had no desire to push himself further. Slipping into bed, he pulled the blanket over himself and muttered,
"I’ll check the new timetable tomorrow." Sleep claimed him swiftly, the day’s adrenaline fading into exhaustion.
***
[9:08 AM]
Adrian sat behind a desk, holding on to the new timetable he had earlier retrieved from the hall.
Unfurling it, he spread it across the desk and began to read, his eyes widening with each line.
The sheer number of lessons stunned him.
’So many lessons,’ he thought, scanning the list.
Basic Sword Fighting.
Advanced Sword Fighting.
Expert Sword Fighting.
Basic Spear Fighting.
Advanced Spear Fighting...
The titles went on, covering an array of weapons: sabers, bows, hammers, halberds, shields, and more.
The first class remained homeroom followed by weapon-related lessons twice daily — one after homeroom and another after the usual Electives schedule.
He noted with relief that the Electives schedule remained unchanged. Adrian folded the parchment, committing the details to his memory.
Reaching into his desk drawer, he pulled out a stack of parchments and ink.
"I’ll need to begin planning more magical [Inventions]," he said aloud. The idea had been brewing since he arrived at the Academy, and now, with enough time at his disposal, he set to work sketching ideas as they flowed.
For two hours, the room was filled with Adrian’s art on paper, and by the end, he had blueprints for several concepts.
A Magic Heater.
A Magic Cooler.
And Mana Grenades for himself.
But his mind didn’t stop there. Advanced plans still emerged, harvesters, irrigators, plumbing systems, water purifiers and many more, some infused with magic, others purely mechanical.
’These are for my own Kingdom someday,’ he thought, tracing the lines of a water purifier.
For now, he would focus on the simpler inventions, starting with the heater, cooler, and grenades.
Exhausted but satisfied, Adrian stood up from the chair and approached his bed to lay on.
’Visit Factory.’
The world dissolved before him after his order, and everything soon darkened as his consciousness slipped away.
When the light returned, he found himself in his personal world. The colorful sky and the vibrant green grasses still remained the same from his last visit.
[Welcome to your System Factory]
Access Time Remaining: [01:59:55]
Adrian took a moment to appreciate the space once again, before walking towards the Factory doors, knowing he had a task at hand.
"Time to get to work."
The familiar sight of advanced machinery greeting Adrian as he walked inside, a stark contrast to the medieval constraints of the world outside.
He had always wished for the day to work here and it was finally time. Adrian made his way to the area reserved as the workshop.
Workbenches stretched across the room, equipped with tools and devices far beyond this world.
Everything he needed for production was here, from raw materials from his [Inventory] to mechanical machines he hadn’t yet created.
The equipment was so advanced it felt like cheating, but Adrian wasn’t one to complain about an edge.
He decided to start with the Magic Grenade, the simplest of his planned inventions.
It required only two core components: a Magic Crystal, refined to be volatile, and a metal casing to house it.
For the casing, Adrian chose Vyrillium, a lightweight yet incredibly durable alloy he had created.
Vyrillium was his go-to for most inventions, as its molecular structure was naturally attuned to mana, making it ideal for containing volatile energies.
While strong enough to stabilize the chaotic mana of a 1-Star Magic Crystal in its volatile state, Vyrillium had its limits.
It could only handle low-tier crystals for now, but Adrian was confident the next batch of materials he’d ordered from the Association would include stronger metals he could use for better alloys for higher-tier crystals.
The process began with the Magic Crystal. Adrian placed several 1-Star Magic Crystals on the workbench, their faint glow pulsing softly.
Making a crystal volatile was no small feat. Each crystal had a vein-like network within it, a delicate lattice that channeled mana in a stable flow.
Disrupting this flow could cause the crystal to destabilize and explode, a phenomenon Adrian suspected was tied to his [Superpublish] skill.
To achieve this controlled instability, he needed to inscribe precise runes at specific points along the crystal’s veins.
These runes would interrupt the mana flow just enough to prime the crystal for detonation without triggering it prematurely.
Adrian worked meticulously, his hands steady as he used an engraver from the Factory to carve intricate runes onto the crystal’s surface.
Each rune had to align perfectly with the vein’s natural pathways, a process that required both focus and an intuitive understanding of mana dynamics.
One wrong stroke could ruin the crystal or, worse, cause an unintended explosion.
He cross-referenced his blueprint which he had uploaded to the System for a holographic overlay of the crystal’s internal structure, guiding his hand.
The workshop’s tools made this possible; outside, he’d have needed days of trial and error with crude instruments.
Once the crystal was prepared, Adrian turned to the Vyrillium sheets, already pre-cut by the workshop’s auto-forging array.
The metal gleamed with a faint silver-blue hue, its surface smooth yet resilient. He shaped the sheets into a spherical casing, using a press to mold the Vyrillium into two halves that would encase the crystal.
The design was simple: the casing had to be strong enough to contain the volatile crystal’s energy but fragile enough to shatter on impact, releasing the explosion.
Adrian added a pin mechanism, a trigger that would disrupt the final rune sequence when pulled, initiating the mana surge that would detonate the grenade.
He worked slowly, sealing the crystal within the casing and ensuring the pin was secure, testing its resistance to avoid accidental triggers.
As he set the finished Mana Grenade on the workbench, a familiar notification chimed in his mind:
