Reborn in the Survival Adventure Game-Chapter 100: Threads of The Village
Chapter 100 - 100: Threads of The Village
Borin wasn't sure when it happened, but somehow, he was now the proud owner of a clothing shop.
He stood proudly in front of a wooden building with a stitched sign that read "Borin's Threads."
Inside, bolts of silk, spider-fiber cloth, leather, and fur were stacked neatly in shelves. Wooden mannequins wore sample tunics and cloaks. The elves had helped with design. Caelen had helped with thread. And now, Borin stood at the counter, arms crossed like a proud merchant.
"Didn't think I'd become a tailor," he muttered. "But here we are."
Beside him were four goblins and two humans, the newly trained sewing team. The elves taught them fast. Even the kids were helping cut patterns.
Borin held up a silky, reinforced tunic. "Soft. Fire-resistant. And stylish!"
Caelen had stopped by earlier and laughed when he saw it. "It's perfect. Now make one in my size."
Zira just shook her head. "So this is your next evolution, huh? From warrior to weaver."
"I'm multi-talented," Borin had replied smugly.
Villagers crowded the new shop that afternoon.
A goblin woman named Mira held up a spider-silk scarf in awe.
"It's... so light," she whispered. "And warm too!"
A human farmer tried on a sleeveless tunic. "Hey! It doesn't get sweaty. It breathes!"
One of the dwarves tugged on a long black cloak. "Feels like armor, but it's fabric."
The word spread fast. People began lining up outside.
Mira hadn't expected much when she volunteered to help Borin. She just wanted something new to do. But the first time she held a needle and stitched spider silk into shape, something clicked in her fingers.
It felt... right.
The elves were patient. Borin was loud, but honest. And Caelen came by often, always checking on the silk supply, giving her little tips, like how to stretch the thread or stitch over edges.
She made her first shirt last week. It sold the same day.
Today, she was helping a customer—a nervous young man—pick out gloves.
"These are fire-resistant," she said. "They'll help if you work the forge or carry torches."
He blinked. "Really?"
She nodded. "Want me to adjust the fingers?"
He nodded quickly.
Mira smiled. I like this, she thought. Maybe I'll open my own stall one day.
[Sewing Lv. 3 → Lv. 4]
[Threadwork Bonus Unlocked]
She blinked. The ring on her finger shimmered slightly. A warm feeling filled her chest.
Level up... from making gloves?
She grinned.
Torm wasn't one for fashion. He wore leather and mud, whatever kept him dry. But his cloak had holes, and someone at the guild told him about Borin's shop.
So he walked in, expecting overpriced cloth.
Instead, Borin shoved a hooded black coat into his arms.
"Try it," the dwarf said. "Light, silent, and strong."
Torm put it on.
It was like wearing air. Warm air.
He stepped outside into the breeze. The wind didn't bite. The coat hugged his shoulders just enough, and it didn't rustle when he moved.
Perfect for hunting.
"...I'll take two," he muttered.
He dropped 40 coins on the counter.
[New Equipment Bonus: Spiderweave Cloak – Noise Reduction +2, Fire Resistance +1]
[Hidden Skill Bonus – Cloak Movement Style: Unlocked]
He blinked.
A hidden bonus? Just from clothes?
He looked at Borin with new respect. "You're a witch."
"I'm a genius," Borin said proudly.
Elira had been wearing leaf-wraps and stitched hides for years. But the moment she tried on the black scarf Mira made, she realized how outdated she'd been.
Spider silk was light, flexible, and magic-conductive. It even held enchantments better.
She wore a tight tunic, arm guards, and soft boots now—all spidercloth.
Walking through the forest felt like gliding.
When she passed under trees, birds didn't stir. Branches didn't snag her cloak. Her boots didn't make a sound on the grass.
She crouched in the leaves and pulled her scarf up.
A boar walked by. It didn't notice her.
I'm
Elira smiled.
The spiders might have lost—but their silk was changing lives.
Borin stood outside his shop that evening, arms crossed, watching villagers wear his work around the village square.
Caelen passed by and patted him on the back.
"You turned monsters into fashion."
"Better than letting 'em rot," Borin said. "And people are learning skills from this. One guy leveled up just from weaving."
Caelen grinned. "That's the plan. Everyone gets stronger by doing what they're good at."
"You think spider silk's the future?"
"It's part of it. We've got silk, wood, iron, ominite, and now people with real abilities. Let's see how far we can go."
Borin scratched his beard. "You ever think this'd happen? Sewing shops in a goblin village?"
Caelen looked around.
Kids chasing each other with scarves. A dwarf showing off his silk shirt. A human teaching a goblin how to patch a sleeve.
He smiled.
"No. But I'm glad it did."
