Reborn as Mr.CEO's Fat Wife-Chapter 806: Brandon’s Forced Smile
Chapter 806: Chapter 806: Brandon’s Forced Smile
Pullan’s actions were swift, and before Sophia Patel could react, he pressed her to the ground and asked in astonishment, "Miss Locke?"
The commotion immediately alerted everyone under the fireworks, especially since Abigail was particularly sensitive to the address "Miss Locke" today, and she immediately looked in the direction of Pullan.
Sophia Patel struggled awkwardly, "Captain Rhys, what are you doing? Let me go!"
But Pullan didn’t let her go, "What are you sneaking around here for?"
"I... Who’s sneaking around? This is a public place; if you can be here, why can’t I? Aren’t you being a bit too overbearing!" Sophia Patel, held down by Pullan, yelped in pain and then angrily questioned him.
Pullan felt a bit embarrassed by the question; his actions were purely instinctive. After realizing it was Sophia Patel, he relaxed his grip slightly, but he was still puzzled, "Although this is a public place, it’s also a private community. Why would Miss Locke be here at this time?"
Sophia Patel felt guilty when questioned, and upon meeting Abigail Green’s scrutinizing gaze, a sense of embarrassment surged in her heart. She stiffly responded, "My boyfriend lives here; do I need to report to you if I come to see my boyfriend?"
Upon hearing this, Pullan finally released Sophia Patel. She quickly straightened up, gave Pullan an angry glare, and then bowed to Brandon Piers and the others as she prepared to leave. But Abigail suddenly spoke, "Miss Locke’s boyfriend lives in Rose Valley? That’s quite a coincidence; why haven’t I heard about this before?"
Abigail did not intend to embarrass another woman, but she clearly felt that Sophia Patel’s response was targeted at her. Coupled with her ruined mood throughout the day, she couldn’t help but speak up in public.
Sophia Patel did not expect Abigail Green to embarrass her in front of many men who admired her. She instinctively looked towards the four men in four directions next to Abigail, hoping to see their disgust towards her. Unexpectedly, all four men frowned unhappily at her because of Abigail’s words.
Jealousy, like a viper’s tongue, licked at her heart, but Sophia Patel managed to keep her composure and forced a smile in response, "We’ve only recently gotten together."
"Oh, I see. Pullan, it’s dark tonight in the community; you must ensure Miss Locke gets to her boyfriend safely." After saying this, Abigail gave Brandon a cold glance, then looked at the other three men, "It’s rare for us all to be together; would you honor me by enjoying a meal I prepare?"
"We would be delighted to attend," Joshua Piers was the first to respond.
Benjamin Jones would naturally not refuse, and Jeffrey Foster hesitated before nodding.
All three knew they had been collectively rejected, but Joshua Piers’s mindset was to add as much frustration as possible to Brandon Piers, Benjamin Jones didn’t want to hurt Abigail’s feelings, and Jeffrey Foster, different from the two, knew that being invited to dine with Abigail was a rare opportunity he didn’t want to miss.
Seeing the three agree, Abigail led them toward the villa direction. Brandon Piers, completely ignored, watched Abigail walk away with the three men, stupefied, before looking towards Kelvin Max hiding on the side.
Kelvin Max, realizing he had been spotted, awkwardly stepped forward and bowed his head respectfully, saying, "BOSS."
"Have Pullan take her there, and find out what that woman did." Brandon Piers ordered sternly. His Abigail wouldn’t trouble another woman for no reason, nor would she publicly show disdain without cause.
Kelvin Max, naturally not missing the good show just now, hurriedly nodded and went to take care of it.
Only then did Brandon Piers quickly catch up with Abigail and the others.
The elders had been quite worried when Abigail left earlier, but now seeing Abigail return, they all breathed a sigh of relief. However, upon seeing the three exceptional men behind her, they were taken aback; what was happening?
Not only were Elder Piers and Old Mr. Smith stunned, Lena Locke and a few others were also dumbfounded staring at Abigail, wondering what her stratagem was.
Clara Smith, however, raised an eyebrow, very wildly whistling in admiration, "Impressive, eh?"
Just as Abigail entered the house, "..."
Daniel scolded his mother with a glance, "Mom, please mind your image."
"Daniel, you used to call me sister before, do you think I’m old now?" Clara Smith protested.
Daniel choked and looked at Abigail for help.
Abigail was too lazy to bother with them. She turned to Aunt Claudia, who was still clueless and dazed, and asked, "Aunt Claudia, what’s the plan for dinner tonight? Can you add dishes for three more people?"
Aunt Claudia snapped back to reality, "Yes, yes, just tell me what you need, I’ll have someone prepare it."
"No need, I’ll do it. Please look after the guests," Abigail told Aunt Claudia and then looked at Lena and others, "You guys help take care of Teddy and Threo."
"Okay!" The three of them answered in unison.
Abigail nodded in satisfaction and then turned to the two elders, "Grandpa, you guys sit for a while, I’ll be busy in the kitchen and then come back to join you."
The two elders waved at Abigail together.
Abigail hummed, told Joshua Piers and others to sit anywhere, and plunged into the kitchen herself.
Brandon Piers, who arrived late, saw the three sitting royally in the living room and after a moment of headache, adopted the posture of the man of the house.
Unfortunately, none of the three took him seriously, but Grayson Piers took the opportunity to quietly tug at his grandson’s sleeve and whispered in Brandon’s ear, "What the heck is going on with you, kid?"
Brandon managed a weak smile, "What do you think is going on?"
Hearing this, Grayson Piers glared disapprovingly at his grandson, "If I knew what was going on, would I still need to ask you?"
"Hehe, guess, keep guessing," Brandon said with a smile.
After listening, Grayson Piers looked thoughtfully at the three young people sitting upright in the living room and their expressions when they looked at Abigail, and suddenly understood his grandson’s feelings; he felt that the guy was forcing a smile.
The forced-smiling Brandon looked at the three unwelcome guests in the living room, only to feel his mood was at its worst. He decided to head to the kitchen to secretly ask Abigail what was going on, but he had hardly taken a few steps when he heard Joshua Piers’ provoking voice, "Brandon, shall we drink a cup?"
Brandon turned back and saw Joshua Piers’ challenging expression, Benjamin Jones’ indifferent posture, and Jeffrey Foster’s blindly calm demeanor, felt the rage in his heart growing even more fierce, and smiled slightly at Joshua Piers, "Sure, let’s have a drink."
Aside from Teddy and Threo, everyone in the room could sense the growing tension between the four men, twitched their lips, and then consciously cleared a battlefield for them.
Brandon looked at the newly arrived Pullan, "Go to the estate and get some wine."
"No need, just take it from my place," Benjamin pointed next door.
Pullan looked at his own young master, questioning with his eyes.
Next door was much closer than the estate, and Brandon was unwilling to share his cherished collection with these guys lusting after his wife; he knew Pullan was a bit simple.
Five minutes later, Pullan walked in with a big box of red wine from Benjamin’s side. As Brandon expected, the simpleton didn’t disappoint him. Even the always-calm Benjamin twitched at the corner of his mouth, but the words were already out.
Lena Locke glared at Pullan and motioned for Wilson Jasper to watch Teddy and Threo while she quietly slipped into the kitchen.
