Re: Strongest Necromancer with the Extraction Talent-Chapter 53: Exposing Princess Sylvia’s identity
Chapter 53: Exposing Princess Sylvia’s identity
Standing in front of the towering building, Kai felt nostalgic, as he had been here before.
"Let’s go," Kai said to Elias as he put the fire lion back to the Undead Space.
"Sir, if you want to enter the auction this time, you either need to show the invitation letter or proof that you have enough money," a man in his early twenties in white attire spoke politely.
He then continued, "If you have any special identity, that works too."
Kai smiled and took out a blue token in a sword shape from the storage ring, which was actually the token from the Heavenly Blade Sect. The Heavenly Blade Sect was one of the largest and strongest sects in the world.
Naturally, the token represents the identity of a disciple from the Heavenly Blade Sect.
Kai knew that this was going to create some trouble, but he didn’t care too much about it since he would have had a much stronger backer at that time anyway.
At most, he would probably be targeted by them, and a lot of people would be after his life.
Well, this wasn’t his first time since the Heavenly Blade Sect was actually also one of his many enemies in his previous life.
However, in his previous life, he didn’t have any backers since his focus was entirely on searching for a way to resurrect his family and become stronger.
The reason why he didn’t have a single backer or find one was also because he didn’t like being restricted by them, which would only delay his search for finding a way to resurrect his family, too.
Because one of his many goals before was to find a phoenix feather that was said to be able to bring the dead back to life. His other goals also needed him to spend a lot of time, and he definitely wouldn’t be able to do so if he were to join those top forces.
"S-sir, sorry for not recognizing your noble identity. Please forgive me," the man instantly bowed deeply, drawing other people’s attention.
The man was terrified because the Heavenly Blade Sect was known for its ruthlessness. It was already a well-known fact for normal people to be respectful, as they sometimes acted so arrogantly that if someone were to be disrespectful, they wouldn’t hesitate to attack them.
Even though the Imperial Auction House also had a really strong backer that could be said to be even stronger than the Heavenly Blade Sect, they wouldn’t interfere much in things like this, such as if the man were to be attacked by the Heavenly Blade Sect’s disciples.
Of course, it was on the note that their people were in the wrong first. If the Heavenly Blade Sect’s disciples dared to lay their hands on their people however they wanted, they wouldn’t be able to handle the wrath of the faction behind the Imperial Auction House.
"It’s okay, just give me two invitation letters and tell me the time when the auction starts." Kai smiled and waved his hand.
The others were surprised when they saw that Kai wasn’t the kind of arrogant person like most of the Heavenly Blade Sect’s disciples.
The man immediately gave two invitation letters to Kai politely with both hands as he bowed and explained, "The auction will start in eight hours, sir."
’Eight hours, huh? It’s longer than I had expected.’ Kai thought to himself and calculated that it would be the same as four hours in the real world since the time was two times slower in his original world.
Sigh!
’It seems that I need to speed up my plan.’ Kai sighed as he tilted his head and looked in the restaurant’s direction.
He noticed that there was a girl’s head popping out of the window, looking in his direction curiously. When she noticed that Kai was looking back at her with a slight smile, she immediately retracted her head embarrassedly.
"Let’s go, we need to finish this one quickly before going back first," Kai said to Elias, thinking that he needed to finish the next plan and go back to the original world first while waiting for the auction to start.
After stepping inside the restaurant, Kai directly went toward the second floor. The moment he stepped onto the second floor, he noticed four people’s gazes staring at him with different expressions.
One of them showed an obvious curious expression, while the other two showed calm expressions. As for the last person, Kai couldn’t determine it, as this woman wore a white mask on her face.
Kai looked back at them with a calm smile, while Elias was confused when he noticed that he was suddenly being stared at by four strangers. Not only that, he couldn’t even check three of them, meaning that their ranks must have been at least 3rd Echelon Ranks.
As Kai walked toward them slowly, he reviewed the plan he had in mind once again.
When he arrived at the table, he looked at four of them one by one for a while before fixing his gaze on the woman who wore the white mask.
"Can we have a small talk?" Kai asked with a smile.
The eyes below the mask showed that she seemed to be surprised a little bit before answering calmly, "Why? I don’t even think that we’ve ever met before, right?"
"You’re correct about the fact that we’ve never met before, but I’m here for something else." Kai nodded his head as he still maintained his smile.
"Oh? What is it?" the woman asked.
However, before Kai could respond, the girl who was the opposite of the woman with a white mask asked with a curious expression.
"By the way, are you not afraid of the Heavenly Blade Sect’s revenge after you humiliate one of his inner disciples and use their token?" frёewebηovel.cѳm
"Why should I be afraid of them since after our talk, I’ll have a strong backer that they couldn’t afford to mess with anyway?" Kai shrugged his shoulders and looked at the woman who wore the white mask with a smile.
The woman who wore the white mask opened her eyes, clearly showing that she was surprised before asking Kai, "Care to explain why you said that?"
"Let’s get to the point because I’m still busy, and I also don’t want to waste your precious time too." Kai waved his hand dismissively, then said with a calm expression, "I know who you are, and I’m here because of one thing. I heard that you like to invest in peerless geniuses, especially men and those that don’t have a strong background."
"So, why don’t you invest in me? Although I’m not strong enough yet, if I said that I’m second among those of the same rank, no one dares to claim to be the first."
When Kai said the last sentence, he looked at the girl that was about 16 years old with a calm smile.
Four of them were surprised by Kai’s words.
The two middle-aged men in their late 40s beside the two women immediately frowned and looked at each other before one of them vanished into thin air while the other locked his eyes on Kai and Elias as if he were ready to attack them in case something went wrong.
