Ranaway From Wedding, Fell into Tycoon's Love Trap-Chapter 89 I Don’t Have the Time to Fool Around
Chapter 89 - 89 I Don't Have the Time to Fool Around
Uh?!
As soon as she asked the question, Lily Turner felt it was too inappropriate. Before Easton Holmes could speak, she hurriedly defended herself: "I'm not forcing you to see me, I mean you..."
"What do you mean?"
Easton suddenly stepped forward, directly approaching Lily. Unprepared, she was startled and instinctively stepped back.
"I mean it would be best if you can take some time to handle the paperwork for the house as soon as possible."
Because of the sudden situation, Lily did not dwell on whether the man was angry and directly said what she meant.
Easton quietly stared at the woman standing in front of him, silent for a long time. Just when Lily thought he wouldn't speak, he suddenly said, "You don't need to worry about the house. They won't find anything."
"Huh?"
Lily was bewildered. She understood Easton's words but didn't understand why he was so confident. Was he boasting? Or was he trying to fool her with big talk?
Before the rumor-mongering incident, she hadn't thought so much nor was she so anxious. But now she felt both urgent and worried in her heart.
She couldn't afford to be careless!
"No matter who tries to check, they won't find anything," Easton raised his voice to explain to Lily.
"Are you sure?"
"I'm one hundred percent sure."
Even though Easton was one hundred percent sure, Lily still felt uneasy in her heart. She frowned at him, "Don't lie to me. I'm someone who's very easy to trust others."
She was speaking the truth. She was too easy to trust others, which was her fatal flaw. She had already suffered twice from this bitter lesson recently.
She would never trust others easily again. She didn't dare to trust others easily anymore. Her best sister, the man she loved the most, and her most trusted confidante all deceived her. Who else wouldn't dare to deceive her?
"I don't have the leisure time to fool around and lie."
Even though he didn't know about Lily's fiancé and her best friend's betrayal, Easton could tell from her words that she had been deceived, and by the person she trusted the most. Otherwise, she wouldn't have reacted so strongly, nor would she question him in such a manner.
Lily bowed her head in silent thought before speaking again: "Let's leave the house issue aside for now. Shouldn't you resolve the pay issue for me?"
The issue of pay was known to only a few people. Besides the boss and Freya Yeager, only she knew, but she was still worried in her heart.
If the incident where Freya drugged her hadn't happened, she might have thought this matter was absolutely safe, but now she dared not think so.
Once bitten by a snake, ten years afraid of a well rope. She was afraid of being deceived and had developed a psychological shadow.
"You don't have to worry about the pay issue either. The additional condition I attached is only verbal, and only your boss and I know about this matter."
When Easton had Luke Crowe handle the matter, he specifically emphasized this point, just in case those paparazzi caught wind of it and made wild speculations.
"Are you sure only our boss and you know? Then how do I know?" Lily pinpointed a loophole in Easton's words and promptly called it out.
