Ranaway From Wedding, Fell into Tycoon's Love Trap-Chapter 44 I’m Not Interested in the Injured
Chapter 44 - 44 I'm Not Interested in the Injured
"Um, thank you!"
After Emma left, Lily Turner looked up and sincerely thanked Easton Holmes. But thinking about what he did to her, she still felt uneasy inside.
If she wasn't afraid that the incident would have negative repercussions for her if made public, she would've taken this man to court.
Sometimes she hated herself for being so weak, weak enough to be bullied by one person after another. Being bullied by strangers was one thing, but those two people were...
Why did she think of those two heartless people again? Hadn't she suffered enough because of them?
Lily Turner smiled bitterly, her lips curling slightly. Easton, sharp-eyed, noticed this small gesture, but he said nothing. Instead, he picked up the spray Emma left behind and sat down beside her.
He didn't spray her directly but sought her opinion first, "Do you want to do it yourself, or should I do it for you?"
"I can do it myself."
Lily brushed away all her emotions, reached out to take the spray Easton handed her, glanced at him, and then began applying it to her injured ankle.
After applying the medicine, Lily decided to leave. She thought she wouldn't be able to quickly settle the matter of cashing in the house. Freya Yeager was still waiting for her at the hotel to discuss things, and she had already wasted too much time.
"Mr. Zheng, I'm leaving now. I hope you can consider what I mentioned to you earlier." After saying this, Lily stood up from the sofa, "Goodbye!"
After coldly bidding him goodbye, she limped towards the living room exit.
"Can you outrun those paparazzi on one good leg?"
Easton's voice floated over from behind, and Lily instinctively stopped, turning back to look at him still seated on the sofa, "Could you give me a ride, please?"
She believed in his prowess, confident he could get her safely back to her hotel.
Lily's request was unexpected for Easton, yet his expression didn't change. He stood up and took two steps to her side, "Of course."
"Thank you!"
She fully expected him to refuse, yet to her surprise, he agreed, and so readily. She blurted out her thanks.
She really suspected she was addicted to saying thank you, saying it repeatedly and so naturally and generously.
"You're welcome!"
As Easton spoke, he reached out to support the injured Lily. Whether she agreed or not, he helped her towards the door.
Instinctively, Lily struggled to break free of Easton's support, but his hand seemed glued to her arm, and after several attempts, she couldn't shake him off. freeweɓnovel.cѳm
"You don't need to be afraid; I'm not interested in injured people."
Easton knew what Lily was afraid of. To be honest, she was quite his type, and he did want something more with her, but he wasn't some kind of stud who jumps anyone, anywhere.
That day, he thought she deliberately tried to seduce him. Women had played that trick on him before, so when she suddenly barged into his car that night, he naturally assumed it was the same.
In a bad mood, he found an outlet for his frustration and acted discourteously towards her.
