Chapter 205 - 205: The Situation at U.A. High

"Well... alright."

Even though she was scared, Takeyama Urei agreed to help Hatsume Mei hide the stolen item. After all, if this thing ended up in the hands of the heroes, it could spell trouble for Midoriya Izuku.

"Alright, I'm leaving it to you two. Just make sure to hide it well so the teachers don't find it."

Hatsume Mei pulled a sealed case out from a cabinet in the workshop. She had secretly taken it from her dorm earlier that day. If she had left it there any longer, the teachers would have found it during one of their searches.

"This won't just explode out of nowhere, right?!"

"Nope. It only activates when you press the trigger, so keeping it in the case is perfectly safe."

Hatsume Mei reassured Takeyama Urei, who was holding the case with a nervous grip. But judging by her face, she was still terrified. It seemed Midoriya's inventions had left a lasting impression on her.

"I'm counting on you two. Just keep it hidden, and everything will be fine."

"No problem!"

Ochako gave a thumbs-up, hyping herself up.

At least they could do something to help Midoriya. That was enough to make them feel satisfied.

Leaving the Support Course building, Takeyama Urei and Ochako carefully made their way back to the dorms, making sure to stay unnoticed.

Since it was after school hours, there weren't many students around, so they didn't have to worry about drawing attention.

But, as luck would have it, things didn't go as planned.

The last person they wanted to run into was now blocking their path.

Or rather, he had been waiting for them on purpose.

"Hey there, ladies. What do you have in your hands?"

"Mirio-senpai!"

Togata Mirio stood in front of them, smiling as usual.

Ochako and Takeyama Urei nearly jumped in fright. They hadn't expected to run into him at all.

"Uh... This? This is some equipment that was just modified in the Support Course. We're taking it back to our dorms!"

"Oh, really?"

Takeyama Urei blurted out an explanation, but Mirio kept smiling.

Then, in a warm tone, he said,

"Mind opening it up for me? I'm kind of curious."

"Wha—!!"

Takeyama Urei and Ochako panicked.

Mirio sighed slightly. He could already tell they were lying. But he didn't blame them.

Nighteye had sent Mirio back to U.A. High with a mission: find and recover everything Midoriya Izuku had invented.

After the failure of their last operation, the heroes couldn't afford to be caught off guard again.

After discussing the matter with Principal Nezu, the school agreed to cooperate with the heroes and conduct searches throughout the campus.

However, since Midoriya's allies were still U.A. students, they couldn't use forceful methods.

So, the best they could do was have Power Loader, the Support Course's teacher, pressure Hatsume Mei into handing over whatever remained of Midoriya's work.

But she refused.

Instead, she reached out to two people she knew would help her.

This was expected, though.

The teachers had been keeping an eye on the students' movements.

The moment they noticed Takeyama Urei and Ochako heading to the Support Course building, they contacted Mirio, asking him to intercept them in a gentle way—so they wouldn't be too traumatized.

Now caught red-handed, lying wasn't going to help.

Takeyama Urei and Ochako were about to give up and open the case when another voice interrupted.

"Sorry, Togata Mirio."

"This belongs to me. Can I have it back?"

A fourth person appeared on the scene.

Even with his black hair, all three of them recognized him instantly.

"Midoriya-kun!"

"Midoriya!"

Ochako and Takeyama Urei gasped in surprise.

Mirio immediately took a defensive stance.

"Midoriya Izuku... You actually came back to U.A. High!"

"Well, I had some important things left here. I can't just let the heroes have them, can I?"

Right after Takeyama Urei and Ochako left, Midoriya Izuku arrived at the U.A. support department's workshop.

He had come to U.A. specifically to retrieve something important—an item that would be a key weapon for his next move.

Hatsume Mei was surprised and excited to see him, but she quickly told him he was too late. The item had just been handed over to Takeyama Urei and Ochako.

And so, Midoriya arrived just in time to walk into this scene.

"You're not getting away this time!"

"Oh?"

Togata Mirio, filled with anger, charged in to fight. Midoriya, however, remained calm.

Their battle erupted in an instant.

With "Permeation" activated and "One For All" powering his attacks, Togata Mirio launched a full-force assault on Midoriya.

This was his chance to take him down, and he wasn't holding back.

Yet, as the once-unavoidable attack came straight for him, Midoriya Izuku simply stood there—calm, unmoving, not even attempting to dodge.

Togata didn't hesitate. Whether it was a trap or not, he had to take Midoriya down.

A powerful punch, charged with "One For All," slammed into Midoriya Izuku's body.

But then, Togata Mirio realized something terrifying—

His punch had no effect.

It was like hitting a pillow.

All the impact, all the force behind his attack, was completely absorbed.

Midoriya didn't even flinch.

"You...!!"

Togata Mirio immediately leaped back, pointing at Midoriya in shock.

This feeling—this eerie sense of déjà vu—

There was only one other person he had ever felt this from.

All For One.

"Yeah, you're right. I inherited that Quirk."

Midoriya spoke as if it were nothing.

"Looks like your attacks aren't strong enough to break through my defense anymore."

He casually patted his chest, smoothing out the wrinkles in his shirt—the only sign that he had even been hit.

Not only had "Shock Absorption" completely nullified the attack, but "One For All" hadn't even torn his clothes.

With All For One's Quirk-transfer ability, most of his collected Quirks had been passed on to Midoriya Izuku.

That saved Midoriya the trouble of hunting for new powers himself.

His offensive Quirks weren't fully developed yet, but his defenses were already solid.

"Midoriya, you bastard...!!"

At this moment, Togata Mirio could no longer see Midoriya as the person he once was.

With the power of "All For One" now in his hands, Midoriya had become an enemy even Mirio wasn't sure he could defeat.

"Midoriya-kun..."

Ochako and Takeyama Urei stood to the side, visibly worried. freeweɓnovel.cøm

In their hearts, they still supported Midoriya.

But as U.A. students, they didn't want to see things come to this.

"I didn't come here to fight," Midoriya said.

"I'm just here to take back what's mine."

"Not happening!"

Even though he was shaken by Midoriya's new power, Togata Mirio hadn't lost his composure.

The moment he realized Midoriya's goal was inside that sealed box—

The one Takeyama Urei was holding—

He knew he had to stop him.

Without hesitation, he switched targets, setting his sights on the box.

He was going to snatch it before Midoriya could get his hands on it.

"You're fast," Midoriya said.

"But too late."

"What!?"

Togata Mirio froze.

In the blink of an eye, the sealed box was no longer in Takeyama Urei's hands.

Instead, it was now in Midoriya's.

"Huh?! When did Midoriya-kun take it?!"

Even Takeyama Urei, who had been holding it just moments ago, had no idea what had happened.

One moment, it was in her grasp—

The next, it was gone.
