Quick Transmigration Cannon Fodder's Record of Counterattacks-Chapter 3029: The Police Had Finally Arrived
The wailing siren of a police car shattered the silence as it pulled up in front of the yard. Ning Shu smirked.
The police had finally arrived.
Several officers stepped out of the car, including the female officer who had previously assisted Ning Shu.
Wang Ying’s parents’ faces turned pale at the sight of the police. As ordinary commoners, they were terrified of getting involved in any legal trouble.
Ning Shu even noticed Wang Ying’s mother’s legs shaking uncontrollably.
She couldn’t help but wonder how Li Bing would react when he saw the officers.
The female officer asked Wang Ying’s mother, “Does Wang Ying live here?”
Too scared to say much, Wang Ying’s mother simply nodded and led the officer to Ning Shu’s room.
Ning Shu lay on her bed, her eyes red, her face pale and exhausted.
“We need you to come with us to identify the rapist. Are you up for it?” the officer asked.
Ning Shu struggled to sit up and nodded. “I can do it.”
The female officer helped her to her feet.
“You called the police? Haven’t you embarrassed yourself enough? Do you really want the whole world to know?” Wang Ying’s father was so angry his hands trembled with rage.
Through her tears, Ning Shu said, “Dad, I didn’t do anything wrong. I didn’t consent to this. I was raped. The one at fault isn’t me.” frёeωebɳovel.com
The female officer spoke up. “Raping women is a crime. Instead of reporting it, you’re covering it up. That makes you complicit.”
Wang Ying’s mother’s expression shifted. She grabbed her husband’s arm and said quickly, “Officer, my husband didn’t mean it that way. We’re just worried people will talk, and no one will want to marry her in the future.”
The officer ignored them and escorted Ning Shu into the police car. They headed toward Li Bing’s house.
Li Bing lived in the next village.
“Don’t be afraid,” the officer reassured Ning Shu, gently holding her hand.
With her head lowered, Ning Shu said, “Thank you. You’re the first person to support me. My family thinks I’m a disgrace.”
“Don’t worry. We’ll definitely get you justice,” the officer said softly.
Unexpectedly, it was a stranger who gave encouragement and care.
Li Bing’s home was impoverished, barely containing anything of value. He lived with his elderly mother. His father had died years ago in a mining accident, and the body was never recovered.
They were so poor it was almost laughable.
As the police car stopped, several male officers quickly got out, pinned Li Bing down, and handcuffed him.
Li Bing looked terrified, almost wetting himself. “W-what did I do?”
“You’re suspected of raping a woman. You need to come with us for questioning,” an officer said.
“I didn’t do it!” Li Bing stammered, his guilt written all over his face.
Ning Shu jumped out of the car and started punching and kicking him. “You bastard! You raped me!”
While hitting him, she secretly did a little extra number on him.
“That’s enough. The law will punish him,” the female officer said, pulling Ning Shu back.
“Take him away,” the officer ordered.
“No one is taking my son!” Li Bing’s mother rushed out, screaming, “My son didn’t rape anyone! It’s all her fault…”
“She seduced my son! You should arrest that little hussy!” Li Bing’s mother, a notorious shrew, sat on the ground, kicking and flailing. “You’re all bullying a widow and her son! Is there no justice in this world?”
She kicked her legs, slapped the ground, and wailed, “That whore seduced my son! If anyone takes my son away today, I’ll fight you to the death!”
The female officer took out an arrest warrant. “This is the arrest warrant for your son.”
“I don’t care about any arrest warrant! If you take my son away today, I’ll die right in front of you!”
