Planet Pulverizer: A Mortal's Ascent-Chapter 502: Netherlord
Chapter 502: Netherlord
Electromagnetic force, gravity, strong force, weak force;planets, stars, black holes, star systems, star clusters—these were all techniques.
Matter, energy, mental spirit, inner spirit, space, time—these were the Dao.
The stronger a person's mastery of the Dao, the greater the power of the techniques they could wield.
Focusing on the evolution of the Natal Planet was a futile effort, a reversal of priorities. It was like perfecting swordsmanship without cultivating inner strength.
Initially, the difference might be imperceptible, but in the later stages, those who focused solely on techniques without cultivating the Dao would be lost in the crowd, fading into obscurity.
Of course, the "later stages" referred to the Astral God Realm and beyond. Li Pin was thinking far ahead to help him facilitate his path to a cosmic-level existence.
As the saying goes, "For every cause, there is an effect; for every effect, there is a cause."
The Moon Goddess understood Li Pin's intent to pursue the path of omniscience and omnipotence. But... she doubted he could walk that path to the end.
Li Pin smiled faintly. "Time to update my attributes."
His attribute panel was something he had created, and it needed to be manually updated. Ever since he had completed the Celestial Breaker phase of his Natal Planet, he had largely ignored his attribute panel. It served little purpose beyond providing a direct overview of his state.
After Celestial Breaker, his strength had grown ceaselessly, rendering the panel less meaningful.
After some thought, the panel was updated.
[Mass: 1100]
[Energy: 810]
[Mental Spirit: 2000]
[Inner Spirit: 200]
[Demigod: 1/100]
Mass and energy were primarily derived from the two values of qi and blood and the magnetic field. However, they were fundamentally different and signified much more.
The mental spirit value was the fruit of his investment of over ten thousand Divine Treasury Points. Solely in terms of power, it was comparable to a Tier Four Legend.
The inner spirit value, on the other hand, was just a number he randomly assigned. Inner spirit wasn't a power that could be quantified.
The Demigod attribute reflected his comprehension progress. Once he comprehended the power of the Demigod stage and then refined the Astral World Fragment from the Mara World, he would naturally ascend to the Divine Realm.
"The numbers feel cumbersome," Li Pin mused. "Even with my Clairvoyance, I haven't fully grasped the nature of inner spirit power. Quantifying it might hinder my understanding."
Li Pin decided to remove the inner spirit attribute entirely. After that, he optimized his panel.
[Mass: 114],
[Energy: 80],
[Mental Spirit: 201],
[Demigod: 1/100]
Many aspects still required adjustments, additions, or improvements, but he chose not to bother. Marking the main attributes was sufficient.
As for techniques, there was no need to record them. He would master, refine, and abandon them soon enough.
The Moon Goddess turned to Li Pin. "What's your next plan?"
"I'll need your help in my cultivation and in gaining insights into the Moon Demon Domain," Li Pin replied.
"I have no objections. However, the reason we weren't attacked by the Heavenly Demon Clan during our last visit to the Moon Demon Domain was due to the short duration of our stay. If we remain there for an extended period, it will inevitably attract numerous Heavenly Demon Clan experts." The Moon Goddess paused briefly.
Then she continued, "That includes the three great God Monarchs of the Heavenly Demon Clan. Among the three, the Slaughter and Destruction God Monarchs are of no concern. The only true threat is the Netherlord." freewebnσvel.cѳm
Li Pin was aware that the Netherlord would die in a year. But time was precious, and he had no intention of wasting it.
"Let me check the strategy," Li Pin said.
The Moon Goddess was puzzled. Yet, the mysterious aura surrounding Li Pin compelled her to wait patiently, even though his words left her somewhat perplexed.
Moments later, Li Pin composed himself. "As I suspected, Cang Ruoxi doesn't know the Immortal God Emperor. To her, how the Immortal God Emperor appeared in the Moon Demon Domain and what he signifies is still a mystery. In that case..."
He smiled. "Call me the Immortal God Emperor."
"The Immortal?" The Moon Goddess gave him a scrutinizing look. "I've met him before and even fought against him. You're not the Immortal."
Li Pin countered calmly, "The Immortal God Emperor is known for his mystery. How can you be certain that the form he takes upon reappearing, after theoretically being slain, wouldn't be entirely different?
"For all you know, I could be the true Immortal God Emperor."
The Moon Goddess was momentarily stunned by his claim but soon began contemplating the possibility.
After a while, she looked up at him again. "Although I know you're not him, what you say isn't wrong. With the mystery surrounding the Immortal, no one knows what form he will reappear in this world."
She paused before adding, "And you... do carry a similar mysterious aura as the Immortal God Emperor. It's highly possible that you could replace him."
Li Pin smiled. "Then, I'll personally go to the Moon Demon Domain again and meet the Netherlord. As long as I can persuade him, the remaining two God Monarchs... will be a piece of cake."
He wasn't joking. While the Slaughter and Destruction God Monarchs wouldn't die every cycle, dying once every few cycles was far from uncommon.
The Moon Goddess reminded him, "Be careful."
Li Pin nodded slightly.
He then tore through the void and returned to the Moon Demon Domain with the eighty-eight Myth Realm experts.
After briefly getting his bearings, he soared into the sky and headed directly to the Netherlord's God Kingdom.
The full power release of a God King and eighty-eight Myth Realm experts as they traversed the void caused shockwaves that reverberated through the surrounding space.
When the Legendary and Myth demonic beasts sensed the aura of Li Pin and his group, they retreated in fear, not daring to challenge them.
Even the Heavenly Demon Clan's God Monarch turned a blind eye to them, allowing them to roam freely. It had to be known that this was a notorious monarch infamous for his tyrannical rule over the Moon Demon Domain. He treated the place as his own backyard. Despite that, he acted as though he hadn't seen the intrusion of eighty-eight elite experts.
It didn't take long for the faction of God Monarch to determine that Li Pin and his group were targeting the Netherlord. This internally divided faction felt a strong sense of schadenfreude.
As Li Pin's group drew closer, the Netherlord's forces went on high alert.
The Netherlord was one of the great God Monarchs of the Heavenly Demon Clan, but he lacked the experience of the other two God Monarchs due to his young age. As a result, he had no formidable experts under his command.
When it was confirmed that Li Pin and his group were after him, the seemingly invincible Netherlord appeared personally, crossing the void to intercept them outside his God Kingdom.
Sensing the Netherlord's presence, Li Pin waved his hand.
The eighty-eight Myth Realm experts simultaneously stopped, leaving only Li Pin to advance toward the Netherlord.
Upon realizing Li Pin was coming alone, the Netherlord hesitated for a moment before stepping forward.
When he saw Li Pin's figure, the once invincible Netherlord was taken aback. "A human?"
"Apologies for meeting you like this," Li Pin said. "But it will help prove the validity of my words."
"What are you trying to say?"
"Many have likely already spoken to you about this." Li Pin paused. "Your future fate."
"Interesting." The Netherlord chuckled softly. "How about we talk about how long it would take to kill all eighty-eight of your Myth Realm companions?"
"That would be pointless," Li Pin replied.
"I beg to differ—"
"It's pointless," one of the Myth realm experts interrupted the Netherlord before he could finish.
Another Myth realm expert chimed in, "Indeed, it's pointless."
A third added, "Even if you kill all of us, what will change?"
"You may kill one of me, but there are countless others. Can you kill them all?"
As they spoke, all eighty-eight Myth Realm experts focused their gaze on the Netherlord. Their stares were perfectly synchronized. It was as if... they were one.
The Netherlord was taken aback. "Avatars!?"
A sudden chill ran down his spine as the Netherlord met their eyes and realized the meaning behind eighty-eight Myth Realm avatars.
He turned his gaze to Li Pin. "You..."
"Yes." Li Pin nodded, confirming the unspoken question. "My method of visiting may be a bit forward, even impolite, but it's the only way we can continue this conversation, instead of you drawing your sword and slaying us all after just a few words."
He paused, then added, "Of course, if you prefer to start slaying, that's fine too."
Li Pin casually raised his hand, and a drop of blood fell, quickly forming into a body that began to grow at an incredible rate. As it grew, its aura surged—Martial Artist, Pre-Heaven, Grandmaster....
In just a few breaths, Li Pin had created a Grandmaster-level expert from nothing.
With time, it seemed inevitable that this being would reach the Legendary Realm, the Demigod Realm, or even the Myth Realm.
This ability...
"You're not human," the Netherlord said solemnly.
"Yes and no," Li Pin replied calmly. "I am currently using the identity of a human, but the person I was before... comes from a place beyond your imagination, a place... beyond the concept of the Three Domains."
The Netherlord's mind raced. "Beyond the concept of the Three Domains!?"
He thought of the Moon Demon Clan's ancestor, the Supreme Demonic Sword, and... the mysterious Immortal God Emperor.
As he thought of Li Pin's ability to create avatars with a drop of blood, the Netherlord arrived at an idea of Li Pin's identity.
"You're the Immortal God Emperor?" the Netherlord asked in a low voice.
"Yes and no," Li Pin responded the same way.
But the Netherlord had already formed a preconceived notion—the Immortal God Emperor!
According to the guide Li Pin had read, Cang Ruoxi didn't know the Immortal God Emperor. Her understanding of him came from the Netherlord's introduction.
In other words, as long as the Netherlord introduced Li Pin to Cang Ruoxi as the Immortal God Emperor, Li Pin would become the Immortal God Emperor in this cycle.
Numerous individuals had tried to impersonate the Immortal God Emperor to claim the title, but all had failed.
Declaring themselves to be the Immortal God Emperor in Cang Ruoxi's presence proved entirely useless. Additionally, the Netherlord, who shared a similar trait with the Moon Goddess, had achieved a near-godlike comprehension of spiritual power.
But his god-like comprehension was rooted in the Supreme Demonic Sword. The sword's power was fueled by intense, negative emotions, making it stronger with every surge of emotion.
This, combined with the Netherlord's inherently powerful spiritual power, allowed him to sense the truth behind a person's words.
Some might have suspected these things, but none knew them as fully as the guide had described. This gave Li Pin the confidence to approach the Netherlord, knowing he wouldn't be slain after just a few words.
"What is your goal?" the Netherlord asked.
Li Pin didn't need to explain that he bore no ill intentions—the Netherlord could sense that; otherwise, they wouldn't even be having this conversation.
Therefore, Li Pin chose to be direct. "I want to... adopt a daughter."
