Perfect Avatar-Chapter 304: Titandrop : Dora VS Rhea
Chapter 304: Titandrop : Dora VS Rhea
In the light of the throne room, the sound of bells chanting the beginning of the apocalypse could be heard.
Rhea stood at the entrance to the corridor, in front of a large tapestry leading to a throne, on which Dora was sitting with a crown on his head, a gold cane in hand.
"You kept me waiting, dear sister."
He lifted his gaze, revealing his eyes with white glowing irises encircled by a spectrum of colors.
Rhea raised hers, with a calm demeanor.
"I was just giving you time to recover. You’ve been very busy, haven’t you? It would be a problem if you were still assimilating their soul, dear brother."
"Hm? How kind of you, but it was really unnecessary. I’ve found a way to use time to my advantage, and thanks to that I can escape the limits of nature law. I am almost complete."
"Almost, huh? So this massacre is still not enough? You sure are greedy."
"Everything for the King, sister, but I wouldn’t call that a sacrifice. I am so much more than loyal, unlike this world who betrayed me, everything I’m doing will benefit my people."
He stood up, strolling along the walls with his cane shining with the dazzle of a dagger.
Rhea remained unphased, observing his every move.
"Did you know, that this world is literally my property? And I’m not talking like those mortal Gods ruling castles. This world... these powers... the people... everything was made for me."
He turned to her, in his hands, the golden cane had become a golden dagger, picking the tip with his index.
"Whether it’s good or bad, as long as it exists in this world, it must be mine. It took me so much bloodshed to understand it...I’ve lost so much...but now... the King is back, and I’m closer than ever to taking back the throne."
"You have four Sins in you, but surprisingly I only see one. But I don’t mind, now you really look like a target."
"Necessary, sis, I’ve been dead many times, you might see many ghosts tonight."
They stood motionless, eyes to eyes. Above, the bells of the apocalypse began to ring.
Slowly, Dora brough two fingers in front of his forehead, and at the same time, Rhea brought her hand to her sword.
The air filled with magic particles began to dance following the will of the two Titans, shining like little stars all around them.
On one side, they became purple, on the other, yellow.
The purple particles swirled like a galaxy around Rhea’s unsheathed sword, and the yellow around Dora’s dagger, molding it’s shape as a long sword.
The two, in an offensive stance, sword on side, with the galaxies swirling around them.
The sparks enlightened the figures on the walls, among them a drawing of a boy and a girl holding hands.
Their eyes sparkled, and their feets left the ground.
"..."
The atmosphere cracked, the walls, the glasses, and everything, living or not trembled in unisson.
"..."
On another room, the group of Pseudo-avatars, maids, and knights raised their head without a word.
Outside, in a world disconnected from the planet, the shock travelled and reached all the living beings.
Sword against sword, Dora and Rhea clashed with a single hit tearing down the space.
The impact was destroying the room, like a single attack, ravaging everything.
The King decided to give the first blow and push back his opponent, but Pride never steps back.
The two collided like two unstoppable force, with only their bodies resisting the cataclysm, for seconds, then a minute, but soon, this first altercation designed a winner.
Rhea’s sword resumed it’s course, slashing the air, pushing Dora’s dagger, the energy accumulated changed its course and opened a rift to another dimension beneath them, but the General didn’t celebrate.
Her gaze fixed on Dora, she realized that even though her slash had been delivered, she was Dora was intact but she was a few meters behind her previous position.
They stared at each other, more annoyed to have lost one challenge than considering having won the other.
They vanished, and the air cracked again.
Each blow shook the atmosphere and made the whole planet quake, the colors were reversing non stop, the noise was audible from over Ambrosia.
The two clashed at equal ground, sword against dagger, Pride against Greed, Gluttony, Envy, and Wrath.
Rhea possessed 2 Sins, but she never made use of Lust, and the reason was on one side pretty easy to understand.
She was Rhea Silva the strongest Avatar, a battle against Gluttony was a challenge for Dora, so here she was the lead and him the challenger.
He didn’t even bother using technique as usually, it was his last battle, and even with all his understanding of her abilities, he wasn’t aware of the full extent of her power.
He slashed the air faster, trying to create an opening and give her a single scar, he needed to confirm if this perfect skin could regenerate, but as he attacked, Rhea attacked too.
In 5 second, he delivered 1000 slash in a radius of 15 meters, Rhea delivered 1001, each of them breaking a little more the fabric of reality.
Their bodies were moving on their own, like possessed, they could feel absolutely everything on this little planet, the location of every rocks, the path of every slash, millions of informations processed in an instant.
Dora used all the Sins in his possession simultaneously, Envy to have Rhea’s sword mastery, Wrath for the damages and increase of power, Gluttony to negate the damages he received.
He was becoming a perfect warrior, a perfect weapon against the strongest, he possessed an infinity of skills, but he only managed to equal Rhea... Until...
"...."
The first drop of blood flew in the air. It only lasted a millisecond, but Dora felt that a part of him was missing, a drop of blood, smaller than a tear, leaving his body from a minuscule wound.
"...."
They started on equal foot, but as the second passed, something was changing. Dora delivered 50000 slashes, Rhea 87000, when he reached 90000, she gave him 150000.
Minors injury appeared on several spots of his body, fueling only Wrath’s attribute, but never did he touch Rhea
(... If this keeps going like this... At one point I’ll take a real blow.)
His power kept increasing, but Rhea kept distancing him until completely dominating the battle.
(She’s strong... But it doesn’t justify everything... How come her level increases so much?... Is that her blessing too?)
Dora’s brain functioned at a phenomenal speed like a super computer, he analyzed the whole concept of his opponent, from her description to what he had seen.
(She’s getting stronger over second... No, over the attack... Her power... Evolve to always be stronger than the attack she receive... How can I use the law on this? I’m not even sure it’s really that... Freya’s power should be the same, but they’re too incomparable... Should I still use her as guinea pig?)
His mind traveled in the past, thinking about every detail of Freya and Rhea’s battle.
When she used magic, she was the strongest, when she took an axe, she made it a formidable weapon, when she fought her alter ego, she dominated her.
(The conceptual power of Pride... What is it?... Huh?)
His eyes slightly widened as he realized something.
From memory, he could hardly understand Rhea’s power, but it was mainly because nothing on him had fought her.
(Lust... Imitator... Fucking sake!!! She tricked me!!!)
The two were in a sphere of permanent slash, each with the power of destroying a mountain, but only him was suffering scratches, but his bother was elsewhere.
(She got me... From the beginning... If I had taken Lust instead, I could have just reproduced her and found a counter... Goddammit this was the best solution, How did she convince me to exchange?!)
A red light covered them, on his arm, the first large wound opened.
(... What an idiot... What an... Oh... The challenge... Was it also on purpose? To keep me from understanding her power?)
Everything happened at a phenomenal speed, but with their senses piercing the sky, Dora and Rhea could process too much details in this battle.
Rhea noticed a slight change on Dora, a change too delicate to not consider.
(Brilliant... Everything was so brilliant...) On this cataclysm, Dora showed a bright smile. (The one I targeted the most is the only opponent I haven’t studied enough... Eva motivated me to initiate the battle now... So I wouldn’t have time to prepare... And since I was ready to end it all, I picked this location... And now I can’t escape this invader... if I don’t have my True form... I can’t escape, I have to finish here...) freeweɓnovel.cѳm
Their blades clashed one last time in a tremendous flash.
They gazed into each other eyes, Rhea unscathed, Dora regenerated.
"I thought I had trapped you, but turn out I was only building my own cage all this time."
"It’s too early to regret, I’ll make you pay for your existence first, then I’ll allow you to fall into despair."
Dora’s smile widened, his eyebrows raised, he gave off a relaxed feeling.
"You’ve been along preys for so long that you can’t understand when you face a true predator."
"To me, you’re nothing different than the others. Another prey, with a sick mind."
"... Terribly accurate."
Their blades began to shine, alongside their eyes, but Dora’s white irises took a different hue, a hue reflecting on the windows.
"Don’t underestimate the infinity of the disorder in my head... God Mode."
