Perfect Avatar-Chapter 252: Ragnarok: Dies Irae
Chapter 252: Ragnarok: Dies Irae
Dora raised his hands like an orchestra conductor, and the mournful concert began.
Wrath swung his axe to sweep the area with the Personas, but instead of an explosion occurring, it was his arm that disappeared, cut off in an instant by Sigma.
The Mad jumped on the fusion Dora, his leap creating an explosion of magma, then punched his opponent but only hitting the perfect shield.
He raised his foot to kick, when a shower of swords descended on him, whirling, shattering, slicing.
His wounds glistened, and his body began to swell again, yet Omega appeared at his back, his hands leaving a black stain on Wrath’s shoulder, before being caught in the Mad’s explosion and instantly vaporized.
Shaka’s right arm was regenerated, and he rushed at the Dora fusion, a terrible laugh emerging from his cranial face, when a lava dragon emerged from below, its jaws wide open.
The dragon fired a destructive beam, hurling Wrath into the sky, struggling to regain his composure in the air, and to his great misfortune, aerial combat was another of Dora’s prowess.
Alpha and Sigma appeared around him, the former creating more weapons, the latter weaving them together, forming a ball of death in which Wrath was trapped, but in this madness, Wrath sneered.
The ball exploded in a firework display of blades and lava, expanding and forming a vortex of death above the world.
A gash destroyed a large area of the death spiral, wiping out half of Alpha in the process.
An eye opened in each piece of burning blade, the same color as Sigma’s eyes, followed by an increase in their speed and a complete change of trajectory, charging, zigzagging, some becoming intangible or covered in spirit element, slashing at Wrath’s very soul.
The madness continued over a wide radius, Sigma, Gamma, Omega, and Alpha materializing in each blade, shining with their specific color and using the blades as trampolines, they crossed the spiral, slashing, striking, destroying Wrath’s body again and again, and the Mad slashed the air, destroying a wide area and the Persona he could hit in one blow, but each time they reappeared from nowhere.
From the ground, it was as if a meteorite had streaked across the sky, with a temperature that set vegetation on fire despite the distance.
The geography of Kalaharis was metamorphosed in real time, mountains destroyed, forests ablaze, living creatures turned to dust.
With the eclipse, it was night, but with this clash of the titans, it was day on earth.
An ocean of lava, a forest of fire, rocks turning into fluids, the temperature had reached a divine level, almost everything ignited immediately on sigh, but never did the two adversaries slow down.
It was a spectacle worthy of the divine, Wrath and the Personas indulging in this hellish dance, with the fusion Dora on standby, enjoying the spectacle of hell on earth, collecting the stars of soul stones floating everywhere.
It was a masterpiece of canvas, a masterpiece in which Mercy was absorbed, the only living being able to stay close to them without bursting into flames but knowing full well that this was not a battle in which she could intervene.
She didn’t speak, nor did she think; all her attention was focused on the power of the invincible Personas. It was a spectacle that her power enabled her to fully apprehend, just by sensing the type of energy used.
The ball rose higher, and she was about to jump to follow, when her body froze in place.
Run.
A shiver ran down her spine, and the young woman disappeared.
The ball flew higher, a magnificent sight for the eye, and like a shooting star, the spectacle couldn’t last forever.
The fusion Dora clasped his hands together, opening them again to release a yellow orb.
"Enjoy the full extent of your power."
The blades turned red, then exploded into particles, again and again, growing stronger, more destructive.
- Law: replicate the attack of the sin on contact with the blade and increase the power every time something touches it.
The spiral became a red ball and exploded in a gigantic area, forming a cyclone of blades.
In an instant, Wrath was reduced to dust, and the cyclone ravaged everything in contact with it, over a radius of several kilometers.
Mountains, trees, soil, everything was instantly annihilated, indefinitely ravaged by the deadly wind.
"This will be the perfect test."
The fusion Dora smiled at his masterpiece, a gigantic red cyclone literally devouring everything in the area, from ground to sky.
For the young boy, it was an attempt to finish off Wrath, not a trump card, just another attempt based on his deduction.
"... I knew it."
In the middle of the cyclone, several pieces of flesh glowed a distinct color in the cyclone. freewebnoveℓ.com
The flesh grew, but was instantly destroyed, then grew back again, repeating the process.
"Even reduced to this state, it can regenerate, with the Sin of Wrath ability, he would cancel all damage when he would become giant, but that only happened after I attacked it.... So, what if I don’t stop?"
The concept of Dora’s reasoning was simple enough: Wrath could regenerate indefinitely after an attack and become stronger, but if he prevented him from regenerating with a constant attack, the result might be different.
It was just an idea he’d decided to check out, at this point he’d almost forgotten about trying to kill his opponent, his priority was to defeat his regeneration with a new method, because after all that, he was confident in his chances of defeating Wrath, though....
"Oh?"
A test was always a test and could have two outcomes. Wrath’s body gradually regenerated, but not entirely, he stood in the cyclone with his flesh on part of his skeleton, unable for the moment to regenerate further, but still there.
"... Ah, I see... He’s not attacking, so the cyclone’s power is no longer increasing.... So his regeneration also increases to overcome the attack? What an amazing ability!"
Dora spread his arms wide, his eyes shining with a yellow glow and his aura covering his body.
A smile spread across his face, and the cyclone shone brightly, engulfing him.
The particles began to attack each other, increasing in power in an infinite cycle.
Wrath’s body began to disintegrate further.
Dora walked into the cyclone, spared thanks to his defense, but the skeleton opposite was also standing, struggling to put one foot in front of the other, hand outstretched towards Dora and eyes glowing red.
A finger touched Dora’s forehead, and the sky welcomed Wrath.
Wrath flew above, carried away by the cyclone, unable to distinguish between sky and ground.
He began to punch the void, his flesh cutting, his bones tearing, but still regenerating, further increasing his muscle mass, when a huge chunk of his stomach and left instantly disintegrated.
Sigma was flying around him, making hand gestures, followed by the movement of red particles that stuck to Wrath’s body and disintegrated the part in contact.
Wrath tried to reach for him, hitting the air helplessly, thrown left and right.
The red particles ignited, Gamma, on the ground, spread his arms, followed by an explosion of each particle, spreading, swirling around themselves, unleashing the law on each of them.
Kalaharis was illuminated in broad daylight as a literal sun, shining down on the ground, gigantic, absolute.
The battle began on the Savannah, near the beach, and culminated in the center of the continent.
Iris, Lilith and Morgiana were still in the ruins of the city, lucky that the battle had taken the two monsters so far, but despite this, despite the thousands of kilometers that separated them, they could see the sunlight on earth.
The spectacle lasted a few seconds, and then, as abruptly as it began, the sun disappeared.
This simple change was a source of trauma for those who were able to witness it without losing consciousness, but no one at the time realized that this event was a perfect representation of something that had just struck the world: the death of a star.
