Chapter 312 - 312: Annihilation Unleashed

A wave of panic spread through the Garmanians.

"What do we do?! What the hell are we supposed to do?!"

General Slav stared in horror at the 'demon' approaching their lines, his entire body trembling as he instinctively stepped back.

"Stay calm!!"

The Marshal amplified his voice with magic and roared at the soldiers around him.

"Everything—every creature, every object—has a weakness!"

"That thing is no exception!"

His words had an effect—at least enough to momentarily stabilize the formation and keep the army from falling apart.

"Listen to my command!"

The Marshal scanned the soldiers' faces. Seeing the fear beginning to settle, he let out a quiet breath of relief—but outwardly, he remained stern and composed.

"Shield-bearers, hold the line! Swordsmen, flank from both sides! Archers, fire at will! Mages, use anything except Fireball!"

It was a desperate gamble—sacrificing the foot soldiers' blood and lives to buy the mages time to test alternatives.

Because the Marshal knew this thing had to have a weakness.

They just had to find it.

Magic had existed for nearly six thousand years.

There was no way in hell this 'demon' was truly invincible.

Beyond that—Nixa understood that if he didn't force the soldiers to act, they would soon be paralyzed by terror and despair.

And so—Nearly five thousand lightly armored infantry, swords in hand, split into two flanking forces, surging forward from both sides.

From above, it looked like a massive pair of black pincers closing in on Conqueror CR-2, while the space in between became a storm of arrows and a barrage of elemental magic.

But then—As the figure emerged from the smoke, Marshal Nixa and his officers froze.

Conqueror CR-2 was now fully encased in what looked like pitch-black metallic armor. Even its face was hidden behind a dark mask.

Jagged spikes and sharp edges lined its body, exuding an aura of pure darkness.

"A demon... It's really a demon... Are we—are we actually fighting a demon straight out of myth?!"

General Slav covered his face with both hands, his voice trembling with disbelief.

Marshal Nixa's face darkened. "Could the Tristain Kingdom... have actually mastered demon summoning magic?"

Summoning magic was nothing new. Every mage had heard of calling forth familiars from other worlds.

But an actual demon? That was unheard of.

"Look! What is it doing?!"

Slav's panicked shout was unnecessary—everyone saw it.

The towering black figure suddenly dropped onto all fours, its massive body crouching low against the scorched earth, surrounded by broken arrows and smoldering debris.

It paid no mind to the arrows still striking its body or the spells crashing against its armor.

Everything they threw at it barely managed to leave cracks—cracks that healed almost instantly.

Then—It opened its monstrous jaws.

A swirling mass of violet-blue energy began condensing between its fangs.

At the same time—Thin wisps of pale blue mist—no, not mist, but some kind of energy—began streaming from Nixa's army, flowing into the growing sphere of light.

As it absorbed the energy, the orb rapidly expanded.

[BOOM!!!]

The very earth trembled.

When the sphere swelled to over a meter in diameter, it erupted—unleashing a devastating tidal wave of energy that surged forward like an unstoppable force of nature.

There was no escape.

The shield-bearers in front—gone.

The archers and mages protected behind them—gone.

The last thing they saw was the blinding flash of violet-blue light before their vision went white.

[RUMMMMMMBLE—————]

Against the raging energy blast, nothing stood a chance—

Not the arrows.

Not the elemental spells.

Not even the thick layers of reinforced ice walls.

Everything was reduced to dust.

Nearly ten thousand soldiers were swallowed whole by the wave of destruction.

The five thousand troops who had flanked from the sides? They froze in place, too terrified to move.

Even those who had still been charging forward were knocked off their feet by the sheer force of the shockwave.

"How... How is this thing this strong?!"

High above the battlefield, Levi stood atop a massive, nearly three-meter-wide bubble, his gaze heavy as he watched the energy explosion below.

He asked himself honestly—If he were the one hit by the Conqueror CR-2's attack, even with his Armament Haki and bubble shielding, he'd still be in serious trouble.

As the blinding light faded, a massive crater emerged at the heart of what had once been a ten-thousand-strong army.

Unlike a Flash Beam explosion, there was no lingering heat.

So while the crater was enormous, there was no scorched earth—just a battlefield littered with blood, severed limbs, internal organs, and twisted shards of metal.

Marshal Nixa, General Slav, and other high-ranking officers were among the dead.

But at this point, it was impossible to tell who was who.

Levi's gaze, however, shifted to the soldiers who were still alive—some had completely lost their minds, screaming and running in all directions.

Then there were the mages, who fared slightly better. Though they weren't running, they had collapsed to the ground, faces frozen in terror, as if they had just seen something beyond human comprehension.

The battlefield was too far below for Levi to hear what they were shouting.

But the sheer sight of thousands of men collectively breaking down into madness was chilling—even for him.

[BEEP ————]

[BEEP ————]

[BEEP ————]

Yet, the Conqueror CR-2 showed no hesitation.

As soon as it stood up, golden energy began to condense in both of its hands and in its maw.

It was going to finish them all off.

After all, its orders were clear—eliminate them.

Levi fell silent.

Slaughtering an army in battle was one thing, but executing defenseless survivors?

That didn't sit right with him.

No matter how cold he was, he was still human.

So... what now?

Should he step in and stop the Conqueror CR-2?

...

Meanwhile on the battlefield against the rest of Germania's thirty thousand troops, Horobi adopted a completely different fighting style than Levi.

She did not charge forward with the Conqueror CR-3 but instead patiently waited for more than 20 magic fleets carrying 30,000 troops to enter her range.

Then she directly transformed into a Kabaneri in the form of 'Nue.'

A large amount of black matter formed a full set of hideous black armor and a mask on the surface of her body, and her eyes burst with a faint blue light.

Next, Horobi's fear energy bomb and the CR-3 Conqueror's golden beam allowed the 30,000 Garmanians to experience an ultra-long-distance bombardment.

The purple-blue spiritual energy, full of fear, and the golden, intensely hot flash fireballs made the vast plains seem to tremble.

The strong and violent air waves formed circles of white mist.

There was only the boom, boom, boom sound between heaven and earth.

Under Horobi's Observation Haki and the 'Justice Detection Radar' of the Conqueror CR-3, even amidst rolling smoke, dazzling lights, and shadows, the enemy had no chance of survival.

Tragic!

It was utterly miserable!

The so-called magic—or the four magics in this world, except for the void—were powerless against such carpet bombing.

At the same time.

Just as war—or rather, massacre—broke out on both sides, Amatori Biba, who had remained in the capital, Tristania, sat on a chair in the palace that served as the command room, overseeing the various battlefields.

Although he had no official status now, none of the dignitaries around him raised any objections. Instead, they seemed obedient to his every command.

Of course, this was thanks to Wardes behind Biba.

The magic of the Andvari Ring had firmly controlled all the high-ranking nobles, including Queen Henrietta.

"Hey, Captain, are you really going to make me deal with more than 10,000 troops on nearly 50 magic airships all by myself?"

Looking at the Den-Den Mushi in his hand, he made an exaggerated expression.

Amatori Biba leaned back in his chair, legs crossed, and chuckled: "Why? Don't you always want a grand battle? Well, you naturally need a big enough stage~"

"Ah, that's right, but isn't it a bit too difficult for me to handle so many people alone? And they're flying in the sky, too."

Uzui Tengen, on the other side, looked at the Den-Den Mushi in his hand and complained.

Although some troops remained in Albion Kingdom, what was the use of fewer than 10,000 miscellaneous troops?

"I think we need a Conqueror here. As for the other side, don't we have you, Captain?"

Biba smiled helplessly at this.

"There's nothing we can do about it. Who would have thought the other commander would be so foolish as to divide 60,000 troops into just two routes? So I'll leave that side to you. Just don't let the capital be occupied again."

"Okay, I'll do my best~"

Tengen could only sigh, disconnect the communication, and begin formulating his battle plan.

Biba didn't worry too much after putting away the Den-Den Mushi.

After all, even if the other side didn't stop the Garmanian magic fleet, they could always return and clean up after the battle here was over.

He had already gained a solid understanding of this 'zero magic' world.

Except for the so-called 'void magic', the other types of magic posed little to no threat.

After a brief inquiry, he learned that Louise's void magic required a long chanting time and preparation, and the role of the 'familiar' Hiraga Saito was to buy her time.

In other words, if there were a situation where Louise needed to be taken down, controlling Hiraga Saito would be enough to stop her from using magic.

Judging by Hiraga Saito's combat performance, Biba didn't think it would be difficult.

Even if Saito managed to unleash the speed and swordsmanship he had when he defeated Wardes in a single strike, it was still nothing special.

Biba had always suspected that Hiraga Saito's void ability wasn't truly swordsmanship.

The ability to quickly master and use any weapon he touched was, no matter how one looked at it, an extraordinary potential—possibly even comparable to some superhuman Devil Fruit abilities.

"Nothingness."

Biba looked down thoughtfully at the two silver rings inlaid with lavender and light blue oval gems in his palm.

These were the Transparent Ruby of Wind from King Wales and the Bright Blue Ruby of Water from Queen Henrietta.

One amplified wind magic, and the other amplified water magic.

Both were considered original secret treasures.

According to the saying 'nothingness is four', there should also be ruby rings for earth and fire.

Additionally.

On the armrest of his chair sat a thick, peculiar book, which Biba had naturally read through, but it was filled with blank pages.

After questioning Princess Henrietta, he learned that this so-called Founder's Prayer Book would only work when a void user wore a specific ring.

That meant the four rings were actually exclusive relics used by void users to wield the four great void treasures.

In addition to the Prayer Book, the secret treasures included a round mirror, a music box, and an incense burner.

Adding in the four void users and their respective void familiars, the myth of 'four of four' would be complete.

Biba just wanted to test it.

Moreover, he had found two magic mirrors with highly intriguing properties in the palace and the magic academy.

One was the Teleportation Mirror, which could connect two locations and allow people to travel freely through it.

The other was the True Mirror, which could peer into the heart and transform into the ideal person within as long as one looked into it.

These two mirrors were, in Biba's eyes, of great value to the World Government.

Suddenly...

Hurried footsteps approached.

He looked up to see General De Poitiers, looking nervous as he held a letter in his hands.

"Lord Amatori, a distress letter has arrived from the King Wales! They have encountered a massive metal doll on the battlefield—one that is immune to and reflects magic and can effortlessly block arrows and bullets!"

"Oh?"

Biba raised an eyebrow, thinking to himself: 'Something new in this world?'

Sure enough.

Only war could force out new means and secrets!
