Naruto: Wooing Tsunade from Day One!-Chapter 412: Online Beatdown of the Two-Tails 4
Chapter 412 - 412: Online Beatdown of the Two-Tails 4
"Unforgivable!!"
Two-Tails' normally gentle voice turned harsh, and a massive, flaming fireball erupted from her mouth, aimed directly at Nagato.
The fireball roared through the air, scorching the ground beneath it as it hurtled forward. If anyone were caught in such an attack, the outcome was obvious—total annihilation.
"I guess it'll make her question life."
"It looks pretty intimidating, but unfortunately, ninjutsu has no effect on Nagato."
"This Two-Tails is just big, not very skilled."
"Heh heh..."
Yahiko and the others continued their casual conversation, unfazed by the battle. In fact, they found the scene inside the barrier a bit dull.
They could already predict several ways Nagato might respond, and none of them were particularly surprising.
"Preta Path~"
Nagato chose the simplest, least dramatic counter.
Before Two-Tails' stunned eyes, her powerful fireball began shrinking, its flames dissipating into nothingness as Nagato absorbed it effortlessly with one hand.
His expression remained calm, as if he had simply taken a breath.
"Ninjutsu is ineffective against you?"
Two-Tails found it hard to believe. In a world where ninjutsu was the foundation of battle, this human was claiming to be untouchable?
As absurd as it sounded, she had no choice but to admit that it was dangerously close to the truth.
Even though she recognized the Rinnegan, she had never experienced its true power firsthand.
"I wouldn't say that," Nagato replied with a slight smile. "But your ninjutsu won't work on me."
The first sentence sounded humble, but the second nearly made Two-Tails choke.
"Then what about this?"
Still unconvinced, she gathered an immense amount of chakra in her mouth.
A high-density sphere rapidly formed—the ultimate attack of a Tailed Beast.
The Tailed Beast Ball.
If this guy can handle a Tailed Beast Ball so easily... I better start thinking about how to escape.
"It's so big!"
"Wow, I've never seen a Tailed Beast Ball up close before."
"I'm so excited!"
"Damn, he's retarded," Kakuzu said bluntly, earning himself three sharp glares.
These three idiots didn't seem to grasp the gravity of the situation.
Did it not occur to them that if Nagato failed and the barrier collapsed, they'd all be vaporized?
Kakuzu wasn't sticking around to find out. If that Tailed Beast Ball so much as wobbled toward the barrier, he was leaving without hesitation.
Who knew if this ridiculous barrier could even hold it back? He had no interest in testing its limits.
"I'd like to see you stop it yourself."
Nagato smirked darkly and tilted his head slightly.
A chill ran down Two-Tails' spine.
"Shinra Tensei."
With a low murmur, a massive repulsive force erupted from Nagato, blasting the Tailed Beast Ball right back at Two-Tails—at an even greater speed than before.
"Fuck!"
Two-Tails cursed outright.
This was not how things were supposed to go.
Could she even survive her own Tailed Beast Ball?
The thought of trying to swallow it flashed through her mind for less than a second before she abandoned the idea.
But the problem remained—there was hardly any space to dodge. The barrier was too confined, and the distance was too close.
Nagato had planned this perfectly, and now she was trapped.
"This kid really does act like you when he's being mean."
Tsunade couldn't hold back her laughter, though she wasn't sure if she was praising Kawakaze or mocking him.
"Thank you," Kawakaze responded with an exaggerated, insincere smile, fully accepting the blame for Nagato's ruthlessness.
Bang~
After the violent explosion, smoke and dust blanketed the entire barrier, reducing visibility to zero.
"Wind Release: Great Breakthrough."
With a single technique from Nagato, the thick haze was instantly swept away, revealing the battlefield once more.
He now stood near the edge of the barrier, with Nonō not far away. Upon seeing him unharmed, the tension in her heart finally eased.
In the distance, Two-Tails was in far worse condition.
A massive crater marked the impact of the explosion, and at its center, the Tailed Beast stood battered and struggling for breath. Deep wounds covered its body, its fur singed and torn. Yet, despite its miserable state, it remained standing.
Its injuries were healing—though at a painfully slow rate. Even her own Tailed Beast Ball had inflicted tremendous damage.
"Such a powerful technique, and it only requires a five-second interval..."
Tsunade's tone, once filled with frustration over the ability, now carried admiration.
Even after witnessing Shinra Tensei multiple times, she couldn't help but marvel at it.
In her eyes, a divine technique like this could never be overpraised.
"That's just the beginning. There's still the ultimate technique that can..."
"Have a decisive effect."
Kawakaze nearly revealed too much and quickly caught himself.
He had never shared certain secrets about the Rinnegan, not even with Tsunade.
Above all, he hoped Nagato would never have to use that particular ability.
That was his silent prayer as an elder.
"What ultimate technique?"
Tsunade's interest was immediately piqued.
"The strongest sealing technique in the history of the Ninja World," Kawakaze answered with absolute certainty.
Throughout all of history, Chibaku Tensei was undoubtedly considered the most formidable sealing technique.
Of course, there were two versions—the Six Paths version and the standard one.
"Are you sure?"
Tsunade's eyes flickered with doubt, unsure how much weight to give his claim.
"Believe it or not, you'll know for sure when you see it."
Kawakaze knew that Nagato wouldn't need Chibaku Tensei against Two-Tails—not yet.
Since he couldn't demonstrate it firsthand, explaining further was meaningless.
After all, with his own level of skill in Fūinjutsu, claiming such a thing wasn't exactly convincing.
"I'll wait then."
Tsunade smirked, clearly satisfied with Kawakaze's self-awareness, and laughed softly, covering her mouth.
With their brief conversation over, they both turned their attention back to the barrier.
Inside, Nagato met Nonō's gaze, silently reassuring her, before stepping forward toward the pit.
Each step he took felt heavier, and with every approaching footfall, Two-Tails instinctively backed away.
In just a few exchanges, fear had been instilled in it.
It now understood—this man was an opponent it could not hope to defeat.
"Are you convinced?"
Nagato stopped at the edge of the crater, gazing down at Two-Tails.
The pressure from his Rinnegan was even more suffocating than before.
"What do you want me to do?"
Two-Tails longed for freedom, but it valued its life far more.
Rebirth was not an option—it would rather endure than be sealed away again.
"It's actually quite simple," Nagato said.
"You just need to let me stick these things on you."
He spoke with an unsettling gentleness, though his words were anything but.
With a flick of his wrist, a stack of thick, black rods materialized at the crater's edge.
"So, you're really going to kill me?"
The Two-Tails' eyes widened in fear at the sight of the rods—now several times thicker than before.
There was no doubt in its mind. Nagato's true intention was clear—he wanted to turn it into nothing more than a puppet.
"I'm just being cautious," Nagato said calmly.
"If you behave, I promise I won't take control of your body."
He made no effort to conceal the function of the rods.
Though his words were sincere, Two-Tails couldn't bring itself to trust them.
How could it gamble its freedom on empty promises?
Once those rods were embedded in its body, control would be entirely in Nagato's hands. There would be no turning back.
"I can submit to you," Two-Tails said after a pause.
"But I won't accept being a puppet."
It could at least tell that Nagato had the intention of sealing it again.
Humans only lived for a few decades, while it could live forever.
When Nagato's time eventually came to an end, freedom would once again be within reach.
As that thought settled in, a faint, knowing smile flickered at the corner of Two-Tails' mouth.
