Naruto: Unlocking Kaido Template-Chapter 210
Chapter 210 - 210
"Where's that thunder coming from?
Firecrackers? Damn, it's loud."
Zixu hovered in the sky, his body slicing through the clouds with ease. Though he was hunting down the Akatsuki organization, he still had the awareness to sense disturbances elsewhere—handling everything like it was child's play.
Ahead of him, Deidara soared on a giant clay bird, flying at high speed. The wind howled in his ears, cold enough to slice skin, but he didn't dare stop. The guy chasing him? Terrifying as hell.
At first, Deidara had arrogantly believed no one could resist his "art." And if they did? It only meant his art wasn't refined enough. But when Zixu strolled through one of his clay bomb explosions without a scratch and followed up with a devastating punch, Deidara realized—this guy had a monstrous physique. If the fight dragged on, he'd be dead meat.
Retreating wasn't cowardice. It was tactical.
Zixu trailed behind, not even trying hard. He played with Deidara like a cat teasing a mouse, hoping the Akatsuki member would panic and fly back to his companions. Killing two birds with one stone sounded way more efficient than flying all over the place.
But after all this chasing, Deidara still showed no sign of landing. Zixu figured maybe it was because he kept that close tail, always just a second from catching him. Either way, the game was starting to bore him.
"Running like this won't help you. I remember what you did—you harassed and attacked the Land of Whirlpools when it was still standing. It's time to settle the score."
Zixu never forgot. He kept everything written down in a little notebook. Every bastard who wronged him or blocked the rise of Uzumaki's legacy—none would be spared.
Deidara didn't respond. Normally a chatterbox, he stayed quiet now. This was life or death. He cursed his slow-ass bird and watched helplessly as Zixu's long, serpentine dragon body started to cut off his escape route.
With his back against the wall, Deidara strangely felt relieved. If his final, ultimate art could take this freak down with him, he'd die with pride.
With one hand, he tore off his Akatsuki cloak, revealing his upper body, already cracked and unstable. Embedded in his chest was a small, black-blue orb, from which black threads pulsed and spread like veins. His whole body darkened, turning translucent and eerie.
"So infuriating! Surrounded by pure artistic brilliance, and you act like it's nothing!" Deidara muttered to himself, eyes twitching, smile twisted. He was slipping—mentally unraveling.
"That look on your face... it's unbearable! I won't forgive those eyes that deny my art! Those blank stares that don't even flinch at the beauty of destruction... I won't forgive them!"
Deidara cared way too much about how others perceived his so-called "art." But to Zixu? That "art" was nothing compared to the sky-based artillery from the City in the Sky. All these explosions? Just petty fireworks.
"Oh, sorry. Guess your art was a bit too quiet. Couldn't even hear it," Zixu replied with fake politeness—and that sarcasm snapped Deidara further.
"Haha... my ultimate art... let me show you!" Deidara laughed maniacally, without a hint of dignity. He was psyched—no fear of death, only anticipation.
"I'll become art in death! My final explosion will leave an eternal mark on this world!"
His body swelled, and a suppressed, violent energy began leaking from him.
"Despair! Fear! Tremble! Marvel at it! Cry! This... this is my art! —Art is—Explosion!"
Below, beasts in the forest sensed the danger and fled in herds.
Light poured from Deidara's body, a narrow pillar shooting into the sky like a signal flare.
"Silence."
Zixu weaved a powerful fūinjutsu (sealing technique) mixed with a deadly silence-based skill. It slammed into Deidara's self-destructing body and suppressed the blast. Barely. With a grunt, Zixu punted the now-sealed orb of energy like a soccer ball deep into the sky.
BOOM!
A delayed, earth-shaking explosion cracked the sky, painting the clouds with brilliant white light. A huge mushroom cloud—like a giant blooming flower—hovered where the orb detonated.
Deidara's final artistic expression wasn't half bad... but Zixu was glad he didn't take the brunt of it.
Pulling out his notebook, he crossed out Deidara's name with a red pen.
"One down," he muttered. "Time to hunt the rest of the Akatsuki."
"Tobi's still hiding well... can't find a damn trace," he said with a frown. He turned his gaze toward his next target—Sasori of the Red Sand.
"We're both artists. Let's see what kind of twisted ideas this one has."
Meanwhile, hidden in a mountain cave, Sasori—master puppeteer and rogue genius—stood among a ring of human puppets. His manipulation of chakra threads had reached an insane level. To him, anything and anyone could become a puppet.
Lately, though, someone else had caught his eye. Another thread-user. This guy's control over silk threads was bizarre... innovative even.
"You've got a good grasp on threadwork. But I think you'd be better off as one of my puppets," Sasori sneered. Around him, puppets rattled to life.
Across from him sat a blond man wearing sunglasses, legs crossed, unmoving. He flexed a few knuckles, and suddenly, half of Sasori's puppets spun around—now under the stranger's control.
"Oh? Interesting... maybe you should be my next puppet," Sasori smirked wider, summoning the Third Kazekage puppet. A cloud of iron sand (Satetsu) swirled menacingly around it.
"That's what you think?" the blond replied, voice tinged with madness. With a flick of his wrist, near-invisible threads shot toward the Kazekage puppet—trying to hijack its control.
This was new for Sasori. He smiled darkly.
Two puppet masters now fought to control the same puppet.
Poor Third Kazekage. First turned into a puppet after death. Now forced to do breakdancing routines by two madmen fighting for dominance. If he could see this from the afterlife, his soul would probably combust from secondhand embarrassment.
Flying above the battlefield, Zixu sensed two massive chakra forces clashing up ahead. His instincts screamed opportunity.
"Perfect. This might be fun."
He kicked into high gear, racing toward the source of the chaos.
