Naruto: Shinobi Payday-Chapter 45: This is Way Better Than Any Medical Ninjutsu
Chapter 45 - 45: This is Way Better Than Any Medical Ninjutsu
As the mysterious masked man vanished into the swirling vortex of space, Zeldris raised an eyebrow.
"He'll be back," he muttered with a smirk. "Another big-spending client in the bag."
The thought of future business, combined with the fat sack of ryo sitting beside him, made Zeldris genuinely pleased.
He reached down and gave it a satisfying pat—fifty million ryo. Clean, fast, and all his.
Beside him, Sasori stood with his usual emotionless expression, clearly unfazed by Zeldris's excitement. This kind of reaction? He'd grown used to it.
Sasori spoke in a calm voice, eyes sharp as ever.
"Tell me... what's the real reason that masked man is collecting tailed beasts?"
Zeldris paused for a moment. Of course, he knew Uchiha Obito's true intentions—but where was the fun in giving everything away?
He looked at Sasori with a completely serious face and said,
"Maybe... he just wants to keep them as pets."
"...You're the only one who could say something like that and mean it," Sasori muttered, rubbing his temple slightly.
Zeldris chuckled before continuing.
"You'll understand the bigger picture eventually. For now, let's focus on what really matters—making money."
He then looked up, eyes gleaming with ambition.
"And speaking of growth... it's time we expand the organization."
Sasori nodded slightly.
"Not a bad idea. Two people don't exactly make a formidable group. Do you have anyone in mind?"
Zeldris shook his head.
"Recruiting the right people takes time. We'll leave it to fate."
At this stage, power mattered more than numbers.
While he had the power of the Tremor-Tremor Fruit (Gura Gura no Mi), he could still feel the toll it took on his body. The strain from using such destructive force wasn't something to ignore.
Sasori, sensing Zeldris's mood shift, didn't press further and quietly stepped outside, leaving him alone with his thoughts.
Just then, a mechanical chime rang in Zeldris's mind.
Ding!
Congratulations, host! Your personal assets have reached 55 million ryo.
The system has automatically converted this into wealth value.
Current wealth value: 550
Zeldris's eyes lit up.
It was time.
"System," he called with anticipation, "open the panel."
An ethereal interface shimmered before him.
Host: Zeldris
Wealth Value: 550
Remaining Draws: 5
Current Rewards: Tremor-Tremor Fruit
He rubbed his hands together, practically vibrating with energy.
"Let's roll the dice."
With a command, a glowing, translucent wheel appeared in his mind. Dozens of mysterious symbols and items flashed across it as it spun wildly.
"System, start the draw!"
Ding! Drawing reward...
The wheel slowed, ticking softly until it finally stopped on a strange octagonal emblem with a light-blue horse's head etched into the front. The back was covered in glowing runes.
"What the hell is this...?" Zeldris leaned in, puzzled.
Ding!
Congratulations, host! You've obtained: The Twelve Talismans – Horse Talisman (Jackie Chan Adventures )
"Twelve Talismans?" Zeldris echoed. "Horse Talisman? Never heard of it..."
"System, what are the Twelve Talismans?"
The system responded in its usual flat tone:
"The Twelve Talismans are magical artifacts, each granting supernatural abilities. The Horse Talisman provides the user with a miraculous healing factor. It can instantly cure all physical injuries, illnesses, and remove any foreign influences from the body."
Zeldris blinked.
"...That's insane."
It didn't take long for the implications to hit him. If this thing could heal any damage, then that meant—
"The side effects of using the Tremor-Tremor Fruit... they can be neutralized?"
Up until now, Zeldris had begun to notice the strain on his internal organs. The more often he used the fruit's devastating power, the more it tore away at his body.
It hadn't reached a critical point yet—but he'd seen what became of Whitebeard after decades of abuse. ƒree𝑤ebnσvel.com
Always hooked up to machines... No thanks.
With that in mind, he didn't hesitate.
Zeldris pulled out the Horse Talisman and gripped it tightly.
A warm, pulsing energy surged through his body. In an instant, he felt the change.
The dull aches, the hidden internal damage—even the faint old scars from past missions—vanished as though they never existed.
He stood up slowly, flexing his arms, rolling his shoulders.
Everything felt... perfect.
"Way better than any medical ninjutsu I've ever seen," he murmured in awe.
He looked down at the talisman in his hand, eyes wide with realization.
"If this thing really works like that..."
A grin spread across his face.
"...then I'm basically immortal now."
