My Super Beautiful Lady Boss-Chapter 122: You Have Poor Talent
Chapter 122: Chapter 122: You Have Poor Talent
"Really?"
Su Xuan’s face revealed a meaningful smile as his ten fingers moved, ready to strike down on the keys.
"I say, you better get down from there; don’t embarrass yourself up there. If you really want to play, we won’t eat here."
"Exactly, you look almost like a rogue from the streets, do you understand something as elegant as the piano?"
"Pretentious and arrogant, I really can’t stand people like that."
...
A wave of derogatory and accusatory voices rose and fell, everyone was filled with righteous indignation.
Even the owner of the restaurant couldn’t sit still any longer, as continued disturbance like this was sure to affect the business.
"Sir, I’m very sorry, but the piano here is private and not open to the public. Please come down now,"
a Western girl in her early twenties with blond hair, blue eyes, pale skin, and a stunning figure said tactfully to Su Xuan.
Su Xuan, who had been focusing solely on the piano, looked up and saw a girl who combined all the beauty traits of Western women, especially her pale skin and tall figure, which could stir the nerves deep inside any man.
"A true gem," Su Xuan sighed to himself, feeling his inner goals wavering once again.
Previously, he had merely wanted to collect girls from cup sizes A to F.
After truly entering society, he felt that goal was too monotonous and changed it to collecting girls of all kinds of temperaments.
For example, a tough policewoman, an elegant female CEO, an innocent schoolgirl, a seductive housewife, and a sexy anchor, among others.
Now, he added another category: girls of diverse racial temperaments.
After all, Eastern and Western women each had their strengths: Western women excelled with their tall, fiery figures, while Eastern women with their delicate features and elegant temperaments.
These thoughts flashed through Su Xuan’s mind, but he didn’t move from his seat, and his fingers began dancing on the piano keys.
Buzz, buzz, buzz!
A rapid and scattered sound emanated from the piano, causing everyone’s hearts to tremble. The simple notes conveyed the scene of an army assembling.
"This beautiful young lady, not everyone can entice me to play a piece, but this one is a gift for you,"
he said, as his demeanor suddenly transformed, focusing all his attention on the piano, his fingers rapidly and rhythmically dancing.
Buzz, buzz, buzz!
The urgent and structured notes, sometimes rapid, sometimes smooth, seemed contradictory but flowed seamlessly.
Seconds later, everyone was gaping at Su Xuan, who was enraptured at the piano, and their hearts clenched, involuntarily closing their eyes to savor this piece originally played on the guqin.
Those who understood the background of the piece felt as if they were witnessing the assembling of countless troops, the attack, being surrounded on all sides, immense momentum yet a tragic and mournful scene.
Most clenched their fists, eyes tightly shut, faces earnest, deeply drawn into the allure of the music.
Even those who had mocked Su Xuan earlier had forgotten all their displeasure, completely captivated by the charm of the music.
Minutes later, the pace gradually slowed, and the audience felt as though they were witnessing the end of a great battle and the return of the troops to camp, as Su Xuan’s fingertips also stopped moving.
"Phew." Su Xuan also let out a long breath, having once been a soldier, he naturally had a special understanding of this ancient piece depicting a war scene: "Well, that’s the piece done. How did everyone feel about it?"
The crowd, clearly still not recovered from the shock, remained silent for a full half-minute before bursts of cheers erupted.
"Another one, it was too good; this is what a true master should sound like."
"My goodness, is this the charm of our Huaxia ancient pieces? The performance just now is utterly incomparable."
"I really underestimated him. In Huaxia, a place full of hidden dragons and crouching tigers, one should never underestimate anyone."
...
Expecting such a result, Su Xuan smiled silently, walking over to the blond-haired, blue-eyed beauty: "Miss, the piano is yours again."
"Hello, my name is Alice." The blonde beauty was visibly excited as she extended her fair, slender hand, rambling, "Sir, I don’t yet know your esteemed surname, but I also really like the piano. Could you perhaps introduce me to the background of this ancient piece and guide my piano skills?"
"Of course, I can." Su Xuan never refused a request from a beauty, glancing apologetically at the delighted Lin sisters, he said, "However, I’m here dining with friends this time. If you’re willing, we can discuss it privately later."
"No problem, I’ll give you my phone number right now. Just call me whenever you are free." Alice didn’t hesitate, hurriedly pulling out a business card and handing it to Su Xuan.
Su Xuan reached out to take the business card, but instead, he grabbed Alice’s fair, slender hand and gently caressed it, "So white, so smooth, these really are the hands of a pianist."
Alice seemed completely oblivious to Su Xuan’s forwardness, instead she was pleased, "It’s such an honor to receive your compliment; I will definitely visit and learn piano from you when I get a chance."
"It appears that bold and open Western girls are easier to handle," Su Xuan thought, just about to say something when a voice filled with jealousy eerily sounded.
"Su Xuan, you came to treat us to a meal, not to attend a concert; I am starving to death now. Come here quickly," Lin Mengru stared at Su Xuan with her bright, big eyes, fixing them on his misbehaving hand.
Su Xuan discreetly withdrew his hand, his fingertips still lingering over Alice’s palm.
At that moment, Alice felt a slight electric current surge through her body. Her woman’s intuition sensed the ambiguity in Su Xuan’s actions, causing her heart to flutter momentarily as she looked down, saying, "I’m truly sorry, I’ll serve the dishes now."
Upon returning to his seat, the previously disdainful glares all transformed into admiration and adoration.
Some girls even glanced at Su Xuan and then at their male companions, their faces full of disappointment and discontent.
Furthermore, several bold girls blushed, bowed their heads, and sidled up to Su Xuan, sneakily stuffing their freshly written phone numbers into his hand, "I actually have a great interest in the piano too and would like to discuss it privately with you. I hope you won’t refuse."
After speaking, these girls dashed back to their seats like the wind, their faces in front of their sullen-looking boyfriends filled with helpless glares directed at Su Xuan.
Seeing Su Xuan smiling as he accepted those phone numbers, Lin Mengru’s face turned pale with anger, "Humph, it seems you didn’t come out to dine with us but rather to flirt with girls."
Feeling the jealousy from Lin Mengru sweetened Su Xuan’s heart; he chuckled, "Hey, hey, you can’t blame me for that; you chose this place yourself."
"So what if I chose it," Lin Mengru defiantly said, "I’m going to eat three portions of steak, the most expensive ones too, just to make you pay."
"As long as you can eat them, you can have as many as you want," Su Xuan said indifferently.
Lin Mengxue watched the bickering pair with a fleeting smile that soon disappeared.
Her relationship with Su Xuan had always been ambiguous; It was impossible for her to have no feelings for him, but she was already a married woman. Seeing Lin Mengru possibly developing feelings for Su Xuan made her feel she was drifting further from him.
Even though she could disregard her nominal husband’s feelings, she couldn’t ignore her sister’s.
"Mengxue, what’s wrong? Are you feeling unwell? Why do you look so pale?" Su Xuan asked concernedly.
"No, it’s nothing." Lin Mengxue’s face flashed a moment of panic, evasively saying, "I just didn’t expect you to play the piano so well."
"Of course," Su Xuan boastfully said, "There’s nothing in this world that Su Xuan can’t do."
Lin Mengru provocatively said, "I know there’s one thing you definitely can’t do."
"What’s that?" Su Xuan asked.
"Give birth, haha!" Lin Mengru laughed triumphantly.
"That’s not difficult at all," Su Xuan replied with a mischievous smile, eyeing Lin Mengru, "As long as you’re willing to help, we can have several kids, no problem."
"Impossible," Lin Mengru’s face flushed as she flatly refused.
Su Xuan looked perplexed, "Why is it impossible? Mengru, is there something wrong with your health? I’m sure I’d have no issues."
"The only issue is with you. You’re always so rogue; I won’t talk to you anymore." Lin Mengru blushed, gave Su Xuan a disdainful look, and started attacking her steak with her knife and fork.
Meanwhile, a somewhat dazed James, as if just recovering from shock, approached Su Xuan and bowed deeply, "Sir, may I ask if you could take me as your apprentice?"
"No," Su Xuan immediately refused without a second thought, "I’m quite lazy, and your talents are too lacking. Taking you as an apprentice would kill me."
This statement, which would have been scoffed at earlier, now left James blushing and unable to save face as he walked away.
The meal finished without further interruptions, but the one thing that left Lin Mengru unsatisfied was her failed attempt to make Su Xuan pay dearly, for Alice had comped the bill in the end.
The three of them joked and bickered their way back to the Songzhou Garden Community, and just as they got upstairs, they saw a man with an anxious expression knocking on Lin Mengxue’s door.
"Who are you, and what are you doing here?" Su Xuan frowned, his wariness heightened by the prior incidents.
