My stepsisters are sexy demons, and I must protect them-Chapter 45: Ready to do whatever it takes to avoid regrets
Chapter 45: Ready to do whatever it takes to avoid regrets
«Do you want to explain to me what you want from me?!» Itsu asks.
He looks confused and annoyed at the same time by Chantal’s attitude.
The two of them are deep inside the forest of the immense garden, at the point where the trees grow so close together that the light can hardly make it through the branches.
«First of all, lower that hen voice of yours, stupid vampire!» she says in a low but threatening voice.
«I’m sure that idiot Hakuto is already out there, secretly looking for us. So woe to you if you let him discover us!»
«Alright... now do you want to explain what you want from me...?» Itsu asks again, his voice barely more than a whisper.
Chantal’s gaze grows narrower and more serious, fixing itself on the clumsy and uneasy one of Itsu.
A heavy silence falls between them.
«I want you to turn me into a vampire!» Chantal says with such firmness and certainty that Itsu slightly shakes his head, thinking he must have misunderstood.
But in reality, he has understood all too well.
«Wait, you can’t be serious...» Itsu murmurs, forcing a nervous smile.
«I’ve never been more serious in my life. Make me a vampire. Now.»
Her imperative tone shakes Itsu.
«Y-You have no idea what you’re asking me...»
Chantal’s expression grows more irritated as she takes a heavy step forward. In response, Itsu takes a step back.
«Do you think I’m stupid? I know exactly what I’m talking about and what this means! At the HESPARC academy, they taught us everything about vampires and I was the best in the whole institute!»
«Now stop with the questions and let’s begin!»
Chantal removes the sports band she used to keep her breast in check – her large and firm naked boobs stand out, highlighted by the light and shadow created by those few rays of sun.
She takes another step closer.
Once again, Itsu steps back, even more uneasy.
«I doubt you really know. Otherwise, you wouldn’t have asked me something like that...»
«To turn you into a vampire, I’d have to inject my vampiric energy into you. It’s a dangerous operation with an uncertain outcome, even in normal cases, let alone with someone who has the Sacred Flame inside! Our energies would annihilate each other and you would die!»
Itsu’s voice involuntarily rises. At that moment, Chantal suddenly jumps on him.
Itsu finds himself on his back, pinned down, with Chantal sitting firmly on top of him.
Chantal’s legs wrap tightly around his, her knees pressing hard against his hips.
With one hand, she pins his wrists to the ground, keeping his arms completely blocked.
With the other hand, she covers his mouth, sealing it shut.
Because Chantal’s strength has suddenly weakened, Itsu knows he could easily break free.
But he also knows that doing so would only make her even angrier – something he wants to avoid.
So, he decides not to resist and lets her hold him there.
At that moment, Chantal removes her hand from Itsu’s mouth and leans forward, her torso pressing closer – her nipple is now just a breath away from his lips.
Itsu gulps nervously.
Chantal’s beautiful naked breast, so close to his face, is certainly a sight that stirs him.
But the uneasiness and sense of submission he feels toward this girl overpower any more inappropriate physical reaction.
«Bite me!» she orders.
Cold sweat begins to form on Itsu’s forehead.
«I told you that if I did, you would die!»
«I don’t care! This is the only way I have to be able to fight again!»
Now, a strange sense of compassion and pity takes hold of Itsu.
He sees her eyes shining – those cold and murderous eyes are now red, swollen, glistening.
«...I don’t care about dying!» Chantal continues, her voice trembling and full of sobs.
«...I already lost everything that night five days ago! Years and years of study, of training, of sacrifices... every single day, without a moment’s rest to reach the strength I had! All gone to waste!»
Her tears begin to fall heavily onto Itsu’s face, just beneath her own.
He remains completely petrified.
At first glance, seeing her come out of the house with that confident, cold, and determined demeanor, both he and Hakuto had assumed she’d already moved on, or that she didn’t even care.
A miscalculation terribly far from reality.
And now – with only the two of them there – the mask of a strong woman that she had worked so hard to show in front of Hakuto, crumbles miserably.
«...I’d rather die than spend the rest of my life regretting the past and dreaming about what I’ll never be again! The magical energy that flows in vampires’ veins – the Sanguis energy – has the miraculous power to heal even the most serious wounds and restore the body to its original state, making me even stronger. That’s why I need you! If I become a vampire, I’ll be able to fight again! Do it, or else...»
From Chantal’s index finger, a small blade of white flames emerges – the most she can produce in her condition – and she brings it dangerously close to her throat.
«...otherwise I will kill myself with my own hands!»
Itsu clenches his teeth.
«Hakuto, Shin, and everyone else would kill me instantly when they find you dead because of the energy I put inside you!»
«They would find me dead anyway!» Chantal insists, bringing the blade even closer to her neck, cutting it just enough to create a superficial wound.
But Itsu still hesitates.
In the distance, they hear the voices of Hakuto and Kagura – they’re shouting at the top of their lungs, calling Chantal’s name.
Faced with that moment of hesitation and the approaching footsteps, Chantal, driven by a desperate impulse, pierces her own neck from side to side with the small blade of flames.
Jets of blood begin to gush from the deep wound and from her mouth, splattering all over Itsu, who is still lying beneath her.
«N-Now...» Chantal murmurs, her voice choked by the blood and the pain she’s trying in every way to suppress so she doesn’t draw attention.
«...y-you have no choice... give me your energy, or in a few seconds I’ll be dead!»
Itsu grits his teeth, nervous and terrified by her extreme gesture.
«You’re crazy...» he murmurs.
But he knows he has no other choice.
His fingers close around Chantal’s large breasts – he squeezes them tightly – and then...
Itsu’s canines become longer and sharper, and he bites down near her nipple.
More blood begins to flow from her body – this time from the place where he bites her.
Itsu’s canines start to glow bright red, and from that point of the bite, a scarlet network begins to spread across Chantal’s body.
A searing and unbearable pain fills Chantal’s entire body, as if every cell had been pierced by thousands of pins.
At that point, she can no longer hold back the pain.
From her mouth come the most inhuman, harrowing, and high-pitched screams that a human could ever produce – a pain so intense that it’s impossible to imagine and that pales in comparison to the electric shocks she once suffered from Ana.
It feels as if, instead of blood, rivers of molten magma are flowing through her veins, burning her from the inside.
Her screams are so loud and desperate that they inevitably attract the alarmed attention of Hakuto and Kagura.
When the two arrive at the scene, the sight before them is horrifying – it makes their blood freeze and their bones grind.
Chantal is on the ground, her back arched in an unnatural and inhuman way, as if she’s undergoing an exorcism.
She is writhing in agony, the veins in her body so swollen that they bulge just beneath her skin.
Her eyes are completely rolled back, showing only the whites, crisscrossed by a web of blood-red veins.
Hakuto stands there, petrified with terror, while Kagura, driven by desperation, throws herself on Chantal in a frantic attempt to help her.
«I-Itsu...» Hakuto stammers.
«W-What the fuck... WHAT THE FUCK DID YOU DO?!»
But Itsu doesn’t answer.
He’s sitting on the ground, his back against the trunk of a tree, staring at Chantal with his mouth half open and his eyes wide.
Kagura bends down in front of Chantal.
She’s about to do something to help her, but Itsu quickly stops her.
«Stop!» he exclaims, his voice somewhere between serious and incredulous.
Hakuto lunges at the vampire, wrapping his left hand around Itsu’s neck.
In his right hand, a diamond sword forms, the tip pointed at Itsu’s throat.
«Itsu, what did you do to her?! I... I swear I’ll kill you!»
Hakuto’s face is marked by anger, despair, and an unstoppable scream.
Even Itsu is frightened – but it’s Hakuto’s reaction that scares him, not what Chantal is going through.
Normally, after the injection of Sanguis energy, it takes only a few seconds for the familiar vampire to die if the process fails – no more than five or six seconds, or ten if the recipient is particularly resistant.
Death occurs by exsanguination – the skin peels off, the muscles tear, and the veins burst.
The familiar vampire dies in excruciating pain as their body decomposes in an instant.
If the person has the Sacred Flame, the effects are even worse – the body burns from the inside and explodes in a burst of blood and guts in just one second.
But it’s already been thirty seconds since Itsu transferred that energy to Chantal.
She is still alive, despite the unbearable pain, and shows no sign of those horrible side effects.
Kagura doesn’t listen to Itsu – her tongue begins to drip with pink healing saliva, ready to coat Chantal’s body from head to toe, to heal every inch of her skin.
But the vampire insists.
«I told you not to do anything! Chantal doesn’t need to be healed!»
Hakuto, driven by anger and nervousness, is about to attack Itsu when, suddenly, Chantal’s screams stop.
Her body is now still and motionless, the red and swollen veins absorbed back into her flesh.
Kagura immediately places her ear against Chantal’s chest – no heartbeat.
No breath.
Hakuto immediately turns to Chantal, his eyes wide with tears and his teeth clenched.
«I-Itsu...» he murmurs, white flames beginning to blaze from his body more intensely than ever.
The crystal armor forms completely over his torso and both arms.
He raises the sword, ready to bring it down on the vampire, when...
«Hakuto, stop!»
A desperate scream from Kagura stops him at the very last moment.
Chantal’s eyes have reopened.
Her irises now glow with a bright red light.
