My Sloppy Husband Is Actually a Handsome Bigshot!-Chapter 55 He’s Not Worth It
Chapter 55 - 55 He's Not Worth It
The sound of the door opening deliberately slowed down.
As soon as she entered, Yao Lemon stepped on a pair of fuchsia lace panties.
The flashy style was something she would absolutely never dare to wear.
Clothes of both men and women were strewn across the floor, leading up to the bedroom door.
Even though she had mentally prepared herself, Yao Lemon's head still buzzed, and she stood there silently.
It was now past three in the morning, and Yao Lemon finally looked up with red-rimmed eyes.
Seeing her reaction, Lin Zhenxin actually let out a sigh of relief. Crying was good; crying meant it wasn't all that bad.
Lemon's eyes seemed to ask when she had found out.
Lin Zhenxin held up three fingers, three days, no more no less, the time she had given Wu Feng to confess.
The time was up, so she helped him to reveal it in a more straightforward way.
But Yao Lemon suddenly wiped her face, walked to the bedroom, and knocked on the door a few seconds earlier.
"Wu Feng, come out, let's talk."
Lin Zhenxin thought, surely any man would feel weak after such a scare, no matter how strong they were.
As for what happens next...
Lin Zhenxin looked at Lemon.
For what comes next, she believed Lemon had the ability to handle it...
But, would Lemon, who had relied completely on Wu Feng for emotional support since her brother's death, really have the heart to break it off with him?
When she got home, dawn was just beginning to break.
Lin Zhenxin took a shower first, then returned to her room. She glanced at the bed and smiled.
Li Yanan was hugging her pillow, his whole face buried in it.
Still in a vine-entwined posture, like a child.
She had read in a book that people who sleep in this position are extremely lacking in a sense of security.
While she was thinking, Lin Zhenxin noticed the injury on his knuckle.
Clearly, he hadn't treated it, and it became a bit inflamed from getting wet, but it wasn't serious. Lin Zhenxin couldn't bear to ignore it.
She fetched the first-aid kit and disinfected it for him.
As soon as she touched it, Li Yanan opened his eyes.
"Come here." His voice was a bit hoarse, and as he spoke, he released the pillow, pulled her hand, and drew her into his embrace.
Lin Zhenxin paused, wondering if he was awake or not.
In the blink of an eye, Li Yanan had pulled her into his arms, covered with a quilt, and she could hear his even breathing by her ear.
Lin Zhenxin nestled in his arms, her whole body relaxed after the shower, and sleepiness crept in.
She really was tired.
She closed her eyes, and soon Lin Zhenxin was still.
On the contrary, Li Yanan opened his eyes again, drawing her more closely into his embrace.
This was definitely the most comfortable...
When Lin Zhenxin first woke up, Li Yanan was standing by the window, silhouetted by the light.
Without glasses, his outline was bathed in light and shadow, and he was looking down at something, his gaze focused and gentle.
Beautiful enough to move her heart.
Lin Zhenxin felt like she was still dreaming, closed her eyes, and fell back asleep in a daze.
When she woke again, it was almost eleven o'clock.
Instinctively, she looked toward the French window where Li Yanan had been standing.
No sign of him there.
Wearing pajamas, she walked over, the sunlight warming her body, uncommonly comfortable.
Thinking of how Li Yanan looked at that moment, Lin Zhenxin lowered her head and looked at the same angle, but there was nothing. free𝑤ebnovel.com
Was it really a dream?
She thought for a moment, then reached out to open the drawer.
An old umbrella lay quietly inside.
Calling it an old umbrella wasn't an exaggeration.
Such an umbrella was a cheap model from many years ago, long since disappeared from the market.
The umbrella surface was folded meticulously, without a wrinkle, clean as if it were new.
"It's true that it was a dream." No way Li Yanan could be gentle with an umbrella, right?
Lin Zhenxin closed the drawer, turned around, changed out of her pajamas, the phone had no missed calls, and she didn't know how Lemon was doing.
