My CEO Boss Is A Masked Internet Sensation-Chapter 98: Aunt Huria Takes The Cake
Chapter 98: Aunt Huria Takes The Cake
(Arata)
"You are an idiot; Itachi is just a side character; Eren, on the other hand, is the protagonist," Stella emphasised, her brow raised while taking a sip out of her drink.
"You ladies just love to hate Itachi. He is the GOAT when it comes to anime characters. Right, Callum." Zaylen tried to have Callum side with him. He seemed undecided as Stella glared at him so he quickly said.
"Sorry man but whatever the ladies say." Callum raised his hand, taking a step back as if to plead, ’Keep me out of this.’
"Come on, Callum. Don’t be a wuss. I need someone on my side." Zaylen protested.
"All boys just love to worship Itachi, even my boss," I added while taking another sip of my refreshing drink.
I realised how I had consciously and unconsciously begun to relate everything with Karsten.
The lights came on at the Sky Villa, bathing it in its warm glow.
Cherry joined us with her drink and cast a glance at Zaylen.
"Why is my little bro sulking?" She placed her hand on his shoulder and he sulked some more.
"Sister Cherry, tell them Itachi is the greatest anime character."
"Amen to that, I am Itachi’s girl." Both of them did a high five. Stella shook her head at them and our little quarrels continued until we were called back for dinner on the beach.
The blobs of white lights hung above, completely illuminating the beach.
An array of seafood dishes had been prepared by the chef and served under the darkened sky.
From pan-roasted oysters to stir-fried prawn rice and grilled salmon. My mouth watered seeing the food as I settled with my Baba to relish this mouthwatering food.
As per his signature style, he plated food for me and even pulled the fish into small chunky parts so I could easily eat. This had been his routine forever, and he hadn’t changed.
His love for me was eternal, my heart ached for how deeply he cared for me.
"Thank you, Baba." I gently squeezed his arm, letting him know I got this.
"Eat well, you look weaker than before," he instructed before turning towards his own food.
I definitely didn’t look slim.
"We are missing Kail and Erdith." Aunt Huria pouted while helping herself to some caviar.
"They were looking forward to this trip but fate had other plans," Callum answered, stealing a glance towards me. He was seated right opposite us.
"Don’t worry, Aunt Huria. We will plan another trip in spring." Zaylen winked at her. Aunt Huria was quite attached to my brother; not having a son of her own, she always considered him as hers.
"You speak my mind, that’s my boy." She pointed towards him with both her index fingers and he did a happy dance in his seat. All of us laughed at their antics.
"So, Arata, how is your new job? Have you settled well?" Uncle Rais asked while helping himself to some rice.
"Good so far. The Arsten Empire is a multidimensional company and Karsten Chevalier is certainly a man with a vision," I explained, taking a small piece of fish and plopping it into my mouth.
If he would hear me right now, his haughtiness and pride would double over, making him climb the tower of vanity, never to descend on the mortal plane again.
The mere thought made me smile, and I was reminded that I needed to text him, or he would be worried again.
"Interesting, his empire seems to have risen out of nowhere. He made quite a name for himself in a very short time," Uncle Lawrence interjected.
"And the way he likes to keep a low profile even though the media hounds him is astounding," Baba added from beside me.
"Yes, he avoids the press. No one in the company is allowed to speak to the media regarding any information on him or the company without his consent. He is very strict about it," I explained and earned multiple nods from others.
"If possible, ask him to collaborate with our companies in Angel City," Uncle Rais put forward the suggestion, placing his spoon down and picking up the champagne flute to take a sip.
I flashed an awkward smile. Uncle Rais wasn’t aware of my secret identity at the company.
"About that, he doesn’t know my true identity. I wanted to see how I am treated without having Zyair as my last name."
"Ohh! I see. I am sorry, I didn’t know," Uncle Rais quickly apologised.
"I didn’t tell you because you have a big mouth and would have blabbered," Aunt Huria deliberately teased her husband, making laughter ring out amongst others.
"What? Seriously, Huria..." the poor guy was flabbergasted.
"Look who’s talking?" Mom interjected with a hearty laugh and Uncle Rais took a bow towards her and warmly said.
"Much obliged, Skyla. At least someone knows the truth about her and speaks it."
More laughter.
"I have missed this. Glad we could have this meetup. My grandson really made an effort." Grandma appreciated Zaylen and he swelled ten times.
"And now he will become more insufferable," Stella leaned in and added from my other side. I could sense her rolling her eyes.
I giggled with my hand on my mouth. The dinner ended on a high note, and everyone was tired, so we decided to call it a day and headed to our respective rooms.
Stella and I were sharing the room. She was in the bathroom, changing into her night dress while I slipped under the flowery duvet and extracted my phone.
Just as I had expected there were several texts from Karsten, asking how I was doing and if I was having fun with my family. freēwēbnovel.com
{Hey! I am good. My family has travelled to our beach villa on Isle Of Dreams (it’s a small but very lush island where we own villas.) It’s my brother’s birthday tomorrow so we will be celebrating it here. I am having fun so don’t worry.} I
hit send and then waited for his answer. I certainly didn’t have to wait that long.
My face was hidden under the duvet so I didn’t see Stella come out but just heard her voice.
"I will be back in 20 minutes, Ara."
"Okay!" I called back as the door closed behind her.
I opened Karsten’s text and began to read it with excitement flashing on my face.
