MILF For MILF EMPEROR-Chapter 14: Rightful Heir.(3)
Chapter 14 - Rightful Heir.(3)
The guards hesitated, caught between the Baroness's command and the rising uproar.
Suddenly, the doors burst open—House Sally's soldiers flooded into the chamber, their boots thunderous against the marble floor.
Panic rippled through the crowd. Nobles scrambled for the exits, some shouting for their personal guards to protect Lucien, others narrowing their eyes, choosing to watch from the shadows.
Tension cracked like lightning.
Ten of House Sally's guards encircled Lucien and the merchants who stood in his favor. The ring tightened—blades drawn, eyes cold.
Steel clashed.
Sally's men met the merchant bodyguards in a flurry of violence. Sparks danced in the air as swords struck shields and steel met flesh.
One castle guard, trembling with uncertainty, finally shouted, "Protect the heir! He carries the Argrave blood!"
But another sneered, voice dripping with fear and spite, "Fool! Can't you see? House Argrave falls today. Follow this weakling, and you follow him into ruin!"
The air turned sharp with betrayal—and the hall descended into chaos.
Some of the guards froze mid-step.
"Weak master?""House Argrave's end...?"
The whispers spread like wildfire through the council chamber, sowing doubt and confusion. Soldiers exchanged uncertain glances, their grips on weapons loosening.
Lucien stood tall amid the chaos, watching as the merchants and their guards shielded him with unwavering resolve—ready to bleed for him.
So they're willing to die for me already...
"That's unexpected," Lucien muttered under his breath, eyes scanning the disarray. His original plan had been to plant seeds of dissatisfaction—just enough to fracture loyalties, gain merchant support, and force the Baroness into a political corner.
But instead, she'd erupted like a volcano—irrational, desperate.
Did something happen while I was in sleep, or she saw my aggresive approach and want to end me one for all.
Or baroness was this dumb from the start."
His cold gaze narrowed on her trembling frame.
No... this is fear. She's losing control. She never had the strong position with the merchant and all other to begin with.
The whole council room was in chaos, people shouting at each other, the sound of weapons clashing.
"Guards," Lucien bellowed, his voice echoing through the chamber. "Stand down."
Sally's soldiers, along with a few already-manipulated guards, pressed hard against the outnumbered merchant defenders—only five or six loyal bodyguards holding their line, barely.
"Young master! We need to retreat!" one of the merchant leaders urged, eyes darting toward the exit. Their guards were loyal—but they had other masters to protect too.
Yet Lucien didn't move.
He stared directly at the Baroness and stepped forward, voice sharp like a drawn sword. "It seems you still don't understand what's happening here... do you?"
The Baroness's eyes narrowed. Her lips trembled with fury, but there was a flicker of fear. "You and your daughter are guilty of treason," Lucien growled, each word thunderous. "You vile bitch."
He stood there, waiting. Because he knew—
The Argrave soldiers were coming.
Along with Ser Ron coming Thorfin Ragnar, A Veteran mercenary with forty level as a class of Hunter.
He send Ser Ron and his all soldiers for their help, Well it could be seen he asked for them for an meeting along with some strong awakener's, in the guild as he expect being smart baroness would give him the sit of the hall and create a assassination attempt in night.
One have to know all of the soldiers are awakened with class as well as bodyguards are succesful awakeners in warrior class. But among them the strongest awakener was the Thorfin Ragnar-- The guild leader of Argrave territory.
BOOM!
The grand doors burst open.
A gust of killing intent swept through the chamber. The soldiers of House Argrave had arrived.
Leading them was Ser Ron—his armor gleaming, his eyes fierce. But walking beside him was a mountain in human form.
Thorfin Ragnar.
A peak-level awakened warrior. Level Forty. Class: [Hunter King]. Known across the territory as the Breaking Storm.
The ground trembled under his boots. His greatsword was taller than most men, and his aura caused even seasoned guards to stumble back in instinctive fear.
Sally's guards hesitated.
Then—SHHHK!
Baroness shouted "How"
But in that moment
An arrow flashed like silver lightning pierced through the skull of one of Sally's elite, who had just clashed with Lucien. fɾeewebnoveℓ.co๓
The man dropped like a broken puppet.
The chamber fell silent for half a breath.
Then—
"Kill!" Thorfin roared, and the Argrave soldiers surged forward like a tidal wave.
What followed was not a battle.
It was slaughter.
Without her original soldiers and taking people as guaranteed with fear actually made her lose her power within just half an hour.
But sadly, looking at her ran away like rat Lucien give them an lofty smirk.
"Capture those traitor, anyone who came on the way kill them." With Lucien command Ser Ron immediately run toward the fleeting baroness and her daughter to capture.
A/N:Shameless confession—I completely forgot the story outline I had planned. I'll be ending the Baroness arc abruptly. Originally, I intended to stretch it out a bit more, with the main idea being a twisted plot involving Malena, where Lucien would turn Silvia against her mother, seduce the Baroness, and eventually lead to a three-way scene with both women—possibly even expanding to a foursome later.
But since I lost those exact thoughts while sleeping and failed to write the outline down, I've decided to scrap that idea for now.
