Islinda knew that Azula was not a saint, she was a demon after all, and she witnessed the chilling extent of her cruelty. Azula did not spare any. Not women nor children. In her defense, those children would turn out to be monsters just as their fathers before them and there will not be more birth with the females gone. The only difference was that their death was quick and painless. That was as far as her compassion ran.
Azula was as smart as she was mad. She took no prisoners and her death was swift and calculated. Not to mention that this time of the night when all should be asleep aided in her plan. Most of the Fae she had killed, especially the females and children, died in their sleep.
She didn’t want to draw the high lord’s attention to the mayhem she was unleashing on his people until she came for him too. Azula wanted him and his mate together, so she could finish them off together.
Hence she practically tiptoed into each home and killed everyone in it before they could draw attention to her. It was a good thing she was recovering quickly because then, she could use her other dangerous weapon, one more insidious than her sword: her ensnarement ability.
With a mere glance or whispered command, she could ensnare her victims, rendering them helpless to resist her will. It was a tool she wielded with deadly precision, ensuring no one could stand in her way as she exacted her vengeance.
She had killed a family of four that way. When Azula had snuck into the modest home, the man had been awake and his reflex was quick, but Azula came prepared. She recognized him instantly. He was among the Faeries who had been there that night when she had been captured. He was amongst those who had subjected her to this fate.
Azula had not forgotten all of their faces for one day. She had marked each and every one of them and while in her solitary confinement, she had imagined ways she could get back at each and everyone of them. Now, the opportunity was up and she couldn’t wait to start.
Azula ensnared him at once and unlike others who she had made freeze on the spot as she finished off the others, before eventually finishing them too, she had a far better plan for this one. She gave him the sword and made him kill his wife and his two children.
And no, she had not lied about giving the female and children a quick death. Some of them just didn’t die from her own hands. While the man killed his family, Azula eased her control over him a little and made sure he was well aware of him ending his family with his own hand.
She felt him fight against her manipulation, felt his roar of pain, when he put the sword in the heart of his lovely wife and children. She felt the way the agony and guilt nearly destroyed him. But Azula was not moved.
That was the same pain she felt when she had been ripped away from her own realm, her connection with her kingdom servered, the pain of a queen being treated worse than a servant and the worst of it, losing her tail. Now, she had been turned into this ugly, mangled thing and even if she were to go back to her realm, they wouldn’t accept her. She was a disgraced queen.
Hence Azula was not bothered at all with his pain. This was just the beginning of it all. His torment would continue in hell. So she took the sword from his hand when he was done, plunging it into his heart and twisting and twisting, disgusting squelching sounds the only thing heard until the Fae collapsed to the floor dead.
To be honest, Azula was not satisfied with the result. Death had been a quick reprieve from what would have been a hellish life for him to live with the knowledge of killing his family. It seemed even cruel creatures as the dark Faeries were not devoid of affection and in their own case, loved deeply.
Sadly, she could not let him stay alive and suffer more, else he alerted Benjamin to her coming, before the high lord sends his mate away or successfully hids her— his mate was Azula’s target. So she ended him, giving him the peace he desired and left.
She found more and more families of the Fae who had been there at the time of her capture and gave them the same treatment. Azula didn’t care what part they had played. The fact they had been in cahoots with Benjamin to capture and subject her to this fate was enough to doom their fate.
On and on, Azula went on killing, however, she was only one person and it was only a matter of time before she began to tire. Not to mention,
the patrol team might stumble upon a body she had carefully hidden away from easily being discovered and alert Benjamin about the presence of an assassin.
Seventy percent members of the community had been killed by her sword already and it was a good idea for her to go after Benjamin now. When she had finished defeating him, she would come back for the remaining thirty percent and give them the death they deserve.
Ending them would be effortless. Without their leader Benjamin, they would descend into chaos, ripe for the slaughter. It would be a massacre, a ruthless culling of their kind, one that would echo through the annals of history. The legacy of the dark Fae, extinguished by the hand of a demon princess from the depths of hell.
This would serve as a grim reminder to all who dared to cross paths with demons in the future. They would learn the consequences of challenging beings from the underworld, and the price they would pay for their folly.
However, a small problem loomed over Azula’s plans. Exhaustion began to creep in, weighing down her limbs and clouding her mind. Despite feeding sporadically during her rampage, it was not enough to sustain her strength. She knew she couldn’t face Benjamin in this weakened state; he would overpower her without hesitation.
Yet, there was a solution. Azula’s demonic nature craved a different kind of sustenance – sexual energy. It was the fuel she required to restore her power and face her ultimate adversary, Benjamin.
