Chapter 164: THREE’S A CROWD

"HYUNG, you’re awake?"

"Uh-huh," Sohee said, nodding. He had just finished talking to Lim Garam on the phone when Kim Heedo entered the room with a tray of fruits. The fruits had already been cut and peeled, ready to eat. "I thought Cho Euntak would bring me those fruits."

Kim Heedo frowned, putting the tray on the bedside table before sitting on the chair next to the bed. "Is that kid really your friend?"

"Yes. To be exact, I’m working on a project with him and Hong Sera," Sohee said, picking a plate of sliced apples from the tray. "We recently won in webtoon-making contest. Then we got an offer from NaviToon. They want us to turn our winning piece into an official series. We’re still working on some details, but it’s almost certain that we’ll accept the offer."

"You’re working with Hong Sera? For a webtoon?"

"Yes. She’s the writer, I’m the main artist, and Euntakie is in charge of the coloring and some of the background illustrations."

"’Euntakie?’ You sound close to that kid."

"That’s your takeaway from everything I said?"

"That kid may be a kid, but he’s still an Alpha."

Pfft.

Sohee couldn’t help but smile and tease his husband. "Kim Heedo, are you being jealous right now?" frёewebnoѵēl.com

Kim Heedo’s face turned red as if he was embarrassed. "I’m not jealous. But we’re supposed to be married, and I’m the father of your child. So, it doesn’t feel nice that there’s another Alpha around you when you’re pregnant. But that doesn’t mean I’m jealous. It’s just my instincts talking, okay?"

"Dude, you sound so defensive. I only asked a question and you already gave me an essay as a response."

Kim Heedo opened his mouth to complain, but no words came out.

In the end, his husband just glared at him.

Sohee couldn’t help but laugh at Kim Heedo’s reaction. "Heedo-ya, I didn’t know that the nineteen-year-old you were this cute."

"Just call me childish, Hyung. No need to sugarcoat your words."

"Why are you suddenly sulking?"

"Sera, Gaon, and Jaewon called me childish earlier."

Oh.

So, that was why Kim Heedo was being sensitive.

His friends are really ruthless.

"You probably see me as a child since I’m acting this way."

"No, not at all," Sohee said while shaking his head. "I don’t see you as a child."

"Yeah, right."

Ah, he doesn’t believe me.

"Kim Heedo."

"Yes?"

"I want to fuck you. No— I want you to rail me," Sohee said. He was aware that he was being vulgar. But he didn’t want to act reserved just because his husband lost his memories. He wanted Kim Heedo to know how deep their relationship was— physically and emotionally. "I wouldn’t think about doing nasty stuff to someone I see as a child."

Kim Heedo blinked rapidly as if he was shocked, and then his entire face turned red. "Hyung, you’re giving me a heart attack. I know I’m older than what I remember. But, in my mind, I’m still a virgin senior high student!"

Oh.

So, in Kim Heedo’s memories at the moment, he hadn’t done it with Lee Junsu yet— wait, let’s not go there. Whatever relationship Kim Heedo had with other people before our marriage has nothing to do with me.

"Heedo-ya, do you want me to take your virginity?"

"Hyung!"

"I’m just kidding," Sohee said, laughing softly while shaking his head. Then he quickly changed the topic before Kim Heedo could think about walking out on him. "So, did you get all the answers that you wanted to hear from Lee Junsu?"

Fortunately, addressing the elephant in the room calmed his husband down.

Heedo looked like he wanted to run away when I was teasing him earlier.

"I already confirmed that Lee Junsu and I broke up a long time ago, and that he’s dating someone else now," Kim Heedo said, and he sounded awkward. "But I haven’t asked Lee Junsu yet why he was trying to steal your luck. If he didn’t break up with me, then he didn’t have to hurt you or innocent people like Hong Sera just to get back with me."

Ah, that part.

"To be honest, even before you lost your memories, we haven’t figured out why Lee Junsu is doing all of this," Sohee said. He decided to be honest with Kim Heedo, hoping that their conversation would trigger his memories. "Frankly, I didn’t care about his reason. I decided that it would be better for us to ignore him for the sake of our little family."

"You’re really not curious about Lee Junsu’s motive?"

"I’m not. I mean, I don’t care either way. Whatever his reason is, I’m still not giving you up."

Kim Heedo suddenly fell silent, and Sohee didn’t like that.

This Heedo is the Kim Heedo that belonged to Lee Junsu in the past.

But this Kim Heedo wasn’t the real Kim Heedo.

I’m not the type to beg a man to stay with me, but this is a different case. Moreover, Kim Heedo and I have talked about this before. He asked me not to give up on him if he lost his memories, so I’m going to keep my promise.

"Sohee Hyung, actually, Kyungmin Hyung asked me not to stress you out."

"Uh-huh."

Sohee just nodded thoughtfully.

It’s not like I can tell him that I’ve heard his conversation with Dr. Seong earlier since I was just pretending to be asleep.

"I don’t want to put you in a stressful situation, either. After all, I don’t want something bad to happen to our baby," Kim Heedo said carefully. "But I’m really curious about Lee Junsu’s story. So, can we talk to him before Hong Sera takes him away?"

"No."

"Huh?"

It seemed like Kim Heedo was shocked by Sohee’s abrupt rejection.

But he didn’t take it back.

I appreciate that he asked my opinion first, but I’m not giving in.

"Heedo-ya, I know you don’t remember. But we already talked about this— we’re not giving Lee Junsu a chance to get closer to you and our little family," Sohee said firmly. He didn’t want to sound demanding, but he couldn’t help the firm tone in his voice. "If you insist too much, I might be forced to make you choose between Lee Junsu and me— me and our baby."

Kim Heedo frowned. "Hyung, are you not afraid that I might make a choice you would hate?"

"Of course, we both know that there’s a possibility that you might go back to Lee Junsu during your amnesiac era. That’s why the old you made a drastic measure to make sure that you won’t divorce me. Or at least make you think hard about divorcing me, at least."

"How "drastic" are we talking about here, Hyung?"

"If you divorced me, you’ll lose all your inheritance."

"Excuse me?"

"Everything you own, down to the single cent, would all go to me after the divorce."

"E-Everything?!"

"Yes— everything. Your houses, villas, pieces of land, cars, buildings, private islands, and even the gold and millions of dollars in your safe."

Kim Heedo looked shocked.

That was exactly Sohee’s reaction when he got a glimpse of everything Kim Heedo owned. His husband’s properties weren’t just limited to South Korea— he had properties all over the world.

I haven’t even included his shares in the company.

"That can’t be true, Hyung."

"If you can’t believe it, you can go and call your lawyer. The contract has already been notarized. Your mother and father are also aware of our post-nuptial agreement, so you can ask them if you don’t trust your lawyer enough."

Kim Heedo clutched his head. "My inheritance... I’m going to lose it all if I divorced you? Have I gone insane?"

"No. You also prepared your mental health records as proof that you’re in your right mind when you made the post-nuptial agreement."

"And my parents didn’t stop me...?"

"Your parents love me," Sohee said, shrugging. "And they did that because they love you, Heedo-ya. They know that you’d regret hurting me once you retrieved your memories. That’s why they allowed you to make that post-nuptial agreement."

To be honest, Sohee also thought that Kim Heedo had lost his mind.

But maybe Heedo made that post-nuptial agreement knowing that even if he lost his memories, he would still find it hard to leave my side.

Kim Heedo gulped. "I must really like you then, Hyung."

"Yeah, you like me that much. So, don’t make a stupid decision, Kim Heedo," Sohee confirmed while nodding his head, and then he put his hands on his stomach. "Three’s a crowd— it’s either me or Lee Junsu."

HAAAH.

Go Gunjoon regretted the fact that he cancelled his meeting with Kim Hanhae and Kim Haewon.

He went to the library alone.

My bodyguards are outside since you need a library card to enter this place.

He was about to leave after a few hours of reading when he saw Jung Byeol.

Fortunately, his former sunbae didn’t see him yet.

The problem was Jung Byeol was near the door, so he couldn’t leave.

That was how he ended up hiding behind the bookshelf in the empty aisle of the library.

Well, he thought he was alone there, but...

"Excuse me, kid."

Go Gunjoon frowned at the young man who called him a ’kid.’

He looks like he’s around Sohee Hyung-nim’s age.

"I know this is weird, but are you related to Park Sohee?"

"What?"

"Ah, I’m sorry. It’s just that you really look like him, especially when we were in high school..."

Go Gunjoon knitted his eyebrows. "You know Sohee Hyung-nim?"

"Yes, we were friends," the hyung said, and then he chuckled awkwardly. "Well, we were more than that. But that’s not important."

Oh.

Go Gunjoon wasn’t that dense, so he realized who this hyung was.

He’s probably Sohee Hyung-nim’s ex-boyfriend.
