Married For Now-Chapter 158: THE REAL CURSE
Chapter 158: THE REAL CURSE
"MOTHER-IN-LAW, do you know where exactly Kim Heedo is headed to?" Sohee asked worriedly. "I need to follow him."
"Sohee-ya, I know it’s hard to do, but please calm down," President Kang Nari said, gently holding Sohee by the shoulders. "Your father-in-law accompanied Heedo. He’ll send us the location once they get there."
He was relieved to hear that.
I’m glad my mother-in-law and father-in-law are on my side.
"Sohee-ya."
"Yes, Mother-in-law?"
"Father-in-law actually stayed behind because he wanted to talk to you," President Kang Nari said carefully. "I stayed behind to accompany you, Sohee-ya. If you don’t want to talk to Father-in-law, then don’t. I’ll talk to him in your stead."
Aww.
Mother-in-law is probably worried that I might get stressed if I talk to Chairman Kim.
Well, that was inevitable.
I know that I should take extra care because I’m pregnant now, but still...
"Mother-in-law, I want to talk to Chairman Kim," Sohee said determinedly. "Please don’t worry about me. I can handle this much level of stress."
"Alright," President Kang Nari said while nodding. "But let me accompany you."
"Can I come as well?"
Sohee and his mother-in-law both looked at Shaman Jung.
"I can feel that Chairman Kim is being badly influenced by another shaman," Shaman Jung explained. "It seems like Chairman Kim has made contact with Shaman Crystal."

"APPA, you don’t have to accompany me," Kim Heedo said, frowning. He was sitting in the backseat of the car with his father. "Kyungmin Hyung is here anyway."
Yes, Seong Kyungmin also came with them.
The doctor was sitting in the passenger seat.
Appa brought his driver-slash-bodyguard instead of mine.
Heedo wondered where Shin Kang was, but he didn’t get the chance to ask.
"I can’t trust your grandfather at the moment," his father said. "I have to make sure that he isn’t sending you on an isolated island with Lee Junsu alone. Moreover, I have to keep an eye on you so you won’t make a mistake that you’ll regret all your life."
"And what mistake are we talking about here, Appa?"
"You can’t cheat on your husband. I won’t let you use your memory loss as a reason to hurt Park Sohee that way."
Heedo rolled his eyes. "I get that we’re married, but we must be married on paper only."
"You’re wrong, son— you and Park Sohee are in love. Yes, you started as a married couple on paper only. However, your relationship has already changed."
"Yeah, right."
"Heedo-ya, your father is telling the truth," Seong Kyungmin said. "So, please don’t do anything stupid while you haven’t recovered your memories yet. If you can’t bring yourself to care about Park Sohee-ssi at the moment, then at least think about your unborn child."
Heedo flinched at the reminder that his "husband" was pregnant.
Did I really get that hyung pregnant?
"We should avoid putting Park Sohee-ssi in a stressful situation since a male Omega’s pregnancy is already risky," Seong Kyungmin said in a scolding tone. "Let’s protect the innocent child, Heedo-ya."
"Then how about me?" Heedo complained lightly. "I’m also feeling stressed out because you keep saying things I don’t understand. Don’t you care about my mental health?"
"We do, and that’s why we’re here for you," Seong Kyungmin said. "Heedo-ya, I’m not blaming you since I accompanied you on my own accord. But I dropped everything and cancelled my appointment with my other patients because I’m worried about you. Your grandfather insisted to have you discharged, so I insisted on coming with you. If I didn’t care about your well-being, I wouldn’t be here. I believe that’s the same for your parents."
Okay, Heedo couldn’t say anything back when Seong Kyungmin put it that way.
And it’s not like I’m against protecting an innocent baby. I can’t still wrap my head around the idea that I’m a soon-to-be father now, but that doesn’t mean I want the baby gone.
Argh.
Having said that...
"Do I have to act lovey-dovey to that hyung to protect his baby?"
"Heedo-ya, we’re not telling you to do that," his father said while shaking his head. "We’re telling you to respect your marriage with him. If you see Lee Junsu later, don’t do something that you might end up regretting later."
Haaah.
"You’re all acting like I’m going to commit a sin when I see Lee Junsu later," Heedo complained, slightly offended by how the people around him were acting like he was a cheating husband already. "I’m just going to confirm things with him, okay?"
***
"I WANT you to divorce my grandson, Park Sohee."
Haaah.
Sohee already expected that Chairman Kim Hyungsik would only bring nothing but bad news.
However, that statement still came as a surprise.
It’s a good thing I came here.
By "here," he meant the VIP Room where Kim Heedo should be.
But his husband was no longer there.
Only Chairman Kim Hyungsik was left waiting for him.
"Chairman Kim, you were the one who forced Heedo and me to get married in the past," Sohee reminded the old man. "Why the sudden change of heart?"
"The situation has changed," Chairman Kim Hyungsik said, avoiding Sohee’s gaze. "It seems like your luck can’t protect this family anymore."
Hah!
I knew it— this superstitious old man probably heard some bullshit again.
"Chairman Kim, I can tell that you’ve been in contact with Shaman Crystal recently," Shaman Jung said carefully. "What did she tell you?"
The chairman remained silent.
"Father-in-law, don’t believe whatever that shaman said," President Kang Nari said in a frustrated voice. "The Daesung Group dropped her because she’s using her divine power to harm others for her greed."
"I know that, but I can’t simply ignore her warning," Chairman Kim Hyungsik said sternly. "That shaman said that Park Sohee’s luck has run out, that it’s not enough to protect our family anymore."
"Chairman Kim, why would you believe Shaman Crystal over me?" Shaman Jung asked, obviously offended. "Park Sohee-ssi’s luck hasn’t run out."
"Then tell me why my brain tumor recurred."
Sohee was slightly shocked.
But, to be honest, he didn’t have the luxury to care that much.
"Father-in-law, is that true?" President Kang Nari asked worriedly. "Your brain tumor recurred?"
"Based on the result of my recent check-up, the doctors discovered the tumor in the same spot," Chairman Kim Hyungsik said. "After I received the result, I got a call saying that my grandson has lost his memories. That’s when it hit me— God is giving me a chance to correct the wrong decision I made."
Sohee smirked bitterly when the chairman looked at him when he said the last part.
So, I’m the "wrong decision" he made.
"Shaman Crystal said that Lee Junsu owns the luck that will protect me and this family," Chairman Kim Hyungsik said. "And that’s why Kim Heedo needs to be with Lee Junsu again."
Bullshit.
"Chairman Kim, I won’t lie— it’s true that Park Sohee-ssi’s luck could be stolen," Shaman Jung said carefully. "However, that was before Park Sohee-ssi cemented his place in your family as your exclusive lucky charm."
"Give me proof, Shaman Jung," Chairman Kim Hyungsik said, obviously doubting Shaman Jung’s words now. "How did Park Sohee cement his place in my family?"
Shaman Jung turned to Sohee as if the shaman was asking for his permission.
Ah, so I should reveal it now.
"I’ll tell him myself, sir," Sohee said to Shaman Jung politely, and then he turned to Chairman Kim Hyungsik with a cold look on his face. "Chairman Kim, I’m pregnant."
Chairman Kim Hyungsik’s eyes widened in shock.
I didn’t want to tell this greedy old man, but I can’t have him playing Cupid on Heedo and Lee Junsu.
"My child is the lucky charm that will bring bigger fortune to the Kim Family for at least fifty more years," Sohee said while placing his hands on his tummy. Well, he was just copying what Shaman Jung had said to him in the past regarding his baby. It seemed to work in his favor at the moment. "Now that this baby is in my womb, Lee Junsu can’t steal my luck anymore."
"That’s true," Shaman Jung confirmed while nodding. "Even if Young Master Heedo went back to Lee Junsu because of his memory loss, Lee Junsu won’t bring your family the fortune that Park Sohee-ssi and his child would. Chairman Kim, my divine power is greater than what little divine power is left in Shaman Crystal. Why would you believe her over me?"
"T-Then why is misfortune hitting my family again?!" Chairman Kim Hyungsik asked, obviously in a panic now. "My grandson lost his memories and my brain tumor recurred!"
"Heedo’s memory loss is caused by Pheromones Overload, and that incident was triggered by Shaman Crystal’s intervention," Sohee said through gritted teeth. He wanted to raise his voice because he was really pissed. However, he didn’t want to stress himself even more because it was bad for his baby. "And it’s not strange for a brain tumor to return even after a successful strategy. It must be your karma catching up to you, Chairman Kim."
Chairman Kim Hyungsik’s face turned red in anger, and then he raised his hand as if he was about to hit Sohee. freewebnøvel.coɱ
Sohee thought he crossed the line, so he just closed his eyes and waited for the slap.
But it didn’t happen.
He heard a loud sound of someone getting hit, though.
When Sohee opened his eyes, he realized two things.
First, Shaman Jung shielded him.
Second, President Kang Nari was the one who received Chairman Kim Hyungsik’s slap.
"Mother-in-law!"

WHEN KIM Heedo arrived at his family villa in Nami Island, he immediately felt nauseous when he caught a whiff of the strange pheromones in the air.
He could tolerate the scent of another Alpha.
However...
Is there an Omega in here?
He didn’t like that scent at all.
"Heedo-ya?"
Oh.
Heedo immediately lifted his head when he heard Lee Junsu’s voice.
Hmm?
Lee Junsu looked older than he remembered.
Still pretty, but Lee Junsu’s aura had changed overall.
"Heedo-ya!"
Lee Junsu ran towards Heedo.
Heedo should be happy.
He should run towards Lee Junsu with open arms.
However...
Argh!
Heedo covered his nose and mouth with his hand, the scent coming from Lee Junsu almost making him throw up.
"Heedo-ya, are you alright?"
No, these pheromones...
To be honest, Heedo couldn’t tell if those pheromones really belonged to an Omega, but Betas could never release that kind of scent.
It was like the person standing before him was half-Beta and half-Omega.
Hence, he had to ask.
Heedo unconsciously stepped away when Lee Junsu tried to get closer to him. "Junsu-ya, did you manifest as an Omega?"
