Married For Now-Chapter 137: BACK-TO-BACK EXPOSÉ
Chapter 137: BACK-TO-BACK EXPOSÉ
"YOU DID well, Euntak-ah," Sohee said while gently patting Cho Euntak’s back. "I’m so glad that you took pictures of the driver before he escaped."
All the pictures that Cho Euntak took had been handed over to Hong Seokho— Hong Sera’s second older brother.
Now the Hongs were busier than ever.
Yang Jaewon and Kwon Gaon left because they personally wanted to catch the driver.
But I think they left because they couldn’t stand seeing Sera in that state.
Yang Jaewon and Kwon Gaon looked like they wanted to cry earlier.
Their friendship is really tight.
But the same could be said for Sohee and Cho Euntak.
It also breaks our hearts to see Sera in that state.
Hence, when Hong Sera’s sisters-in-law returned and asked to give their family privacy to discuss some family business, Sohee and Cho Euntak left quietly.
But they didn’t leave the hospital yet.
Sohee and Cho Euntak went to the hospital cafeteria to have their late lunch.
Of course, I sent Heedo a message telling him I’ll be here.
His husband said to wait for him there since he was about to wrap up his meeting with Hong Seojun.
But it wasn’t like Kim Heedo had something to worry about.
After all, even though Sohee couldn’t see his bodyguards dressed in civilian clothes, he could tell that they were keeping an eye on him.
"I took pictures because the driver looked suspicious, Hyung."
"Why did you find him suspicious?" Sohee asked carefully. He wasn’t doubting Cho Euntak— he was merely helping the younger man to organize his thoughts by asking the right questions. "It’s a shame, but it’s pretty normal for some drivers involved in a car or road accident to escape the scene out of fear."
"I know that, Hyung. And that’s why I found the driver suspicious," Cho Euntak said while nodding. "He didn’t panic, and he didn’t even check the damage he caused. He simply walked away as if his job was already done. Then he rode a taxi."
Right.
The driver rode a taxi.
"You did well taking pictures of the taxi’s plate number, Euntak-ah," Sohee praised the kid again. "Thanks to you, the Hongs’ investigation is getting somewhere."
Of course, the police were involved since the accident happened in public.
But the Hongs were quick to silence the media, so Hong Sera’s name didn’t appear in any news.
And it helps that Yang Jaewon is the son of one of the biggest broadcasting stations here.
"I hope Sera Noona wakes up soon."
"According to the doctors, Sera is stable now," Sohee assured the kid. "I’m sure she’ll wake up soon." He paused for a moment, and then he asked: "Euntak-ah, by any chance, do you know how’s Jin Minki’s condition?"
"I dropped by Jin Minki Sunbae-nim’s room last night, and he’s okay now. The minor surgery was a success. I think he was discharged this morning," Cho Euntak said. "Did you want to visit Sunbae-nim, Hyung?"
"Nah, we’re not close for me to do that. And I’m sure Jin Minki wouldn’t want to see me anyway," Sohee said, pausing for a moment. "But if the accident wasn’t an accident and someone really wanted to harm Hong Sera, I wonder if Han Raehyun and Jin Minki’s family would blame Hong Sera again."
Cho Euntak gasped out loud. "I didn’t think of that..."
"It’s highly possible, isn’t it?"
"Wouldn’t that make Han Raehyun Sunbae-nim a total jerk if he sided with Jin Minki Sunbae-nim again? Even if Sera Noona was targeted by a bad person, they shouldn’t blame her for what happened. It wasn’t like Sera Noona wanted that to happen."
"Euntak-ah, those people blamed Hong Sera as if Hong Sera hired that rapist to attack Jin Minki."
"Oh, right..."
"If they blame Hong Sera again for this..."
Sohee was about to curse at Han Raehyun and Jin Minki’s family, but he was distracted when he got a message from Go Gunjoon.
Go Gunjoon Dongsaeng: Hyung-nim, how do I send the recording to you?
Ah, right.
Kang Woong was looking for the recording that Go Gunjoon saved.
Apparently, Kang Woong’s little gang mentioned their supplier.
But, according to Go Gunjoon, it wasn’t only Jung Byeol’s name that was mentioned in the recording. Hence, he kept the recording in a safe place.
That’s why I need to get my hands on that recording.
Sohee replied to his half-brother.
Park Sohee: Your brother-in-law and I will pick you up at school later.

SOHEE noticed that Kim Heedo looked pale and less energetic than usual when his husband came to fetch him at the hospital cafeteria.
But he didn’t bring it up right away.
They sent off Cho Euntak first, and then they got into the car.
Since there was still time before Go Gunjoon’s classes ended, they decided to go home first and rest.
Sohee wanted to ask Kim Heedo about his conversation with Hong Seojun.
But someone beat him to talking first.
"Young Master, Park Sohee-nim, I have received a report regarding Jung Byeol-ssi’s recent activities," Shin Kang said politely while driving. "The investigation isn’t completed yet, but the team thought it’s a piece of information that you should know."
Right.
Sohee almost forgot that they already mobilized Kim Heedo’s subordinates to investigate Jung Byeol’s background.
I feel like we’re about to get somewhere.
"Go ahead," Kim Heedo said in a tired voice, laying his head against Sohee’s shoulder. "What did you find out about the Omega kid?"
"Jung Byeol-ssi is Antiheroes’ Sanha’s cousin."
Sohee let out a loud gasp because that was truly a shocking twist.
And Mr. Shin said it so casually!
"Sanha?" Kim Heedo asked as if he was in disbelief. "Lee Junsu’s boyfriend?"
"Yes, Young Master," Shin Kang answered politely. "Jung Byeol-ssi has been missing his classes these past few days, so our team tracked down his whereabouts. We found out that he had been hanging out in Sanha-ssi’s apartment recently. When our team traced their connection, we discovered that they were cousins. In fact, Sanha lived with Jung Byeol-ssi’s family until he finished high school. He only moved out when he became an idol trainee."
"The rumors in Go Gunjoon’s school suggest that Jung Byeol is tied to a mafia or something," Sohee said worriedly. "Have you dug deep into Jung Byeol’s family yet?"
"Not yet, sir. According to our initial investigation, Jung Byeol’s parents own a pharmacy. The pharmacy is legal and only sells legal stuff. On the surface, at least. I’m sorry, sir, but we need more time to delve deeper into their business."
"It’s alright," Sohee said, nodding. "Thank you, Mr. Shin." freeweɓnøvel.com
"Have you looked into Sanha’s background yet?" Kim Heedo asked. "I know just because they’re family doesn’t mean he’s also involved with drugs. But it doesn’t hurt to be extra vigilant."
"That’s the thing we’re worried about, Young Master," Shin Kang said politely, glancing at Kim Heedo from the rearview mirror before focusing on the road again. "Sanha-ssi’s background is clean— too clean. Just like yours, Young Master."
Oh.
Kim Heedo’s background was fabricated because he was hiding his identity as the grandson of the Ilsung Group.
Does it mean Sanha-ssi is also hiding something?
But maybe it was normal to hide his background since Sanha was an idol?
For privacy or something.
"Prioritize digging into Sanha’s past and see if he’s involved in Jung Byeol’s drug business," Kim Heedo said, pausing for a moment. "And see if he’s up to sketchy activities lately with Lee Junsu."
Shin Kang nodded politely. "Yes, Young Master."
"Lee Junsu?" Sohee asked, looking at Kim Heedo curiously. "Why did you think that Sanha-ssi and Lee Junsu might be up to no good?"
"Later, Hyung," Kim Heedo said, gently squeezing Sohee’s leg. "I’ll tell you everything Seojun Hyung told me once we get home."

IT WAS information overload.
Sohee felt like his brain cells had already exploded by the time Kim Heedo was done with his long explanation.
But he was relieved.
I’m just glad that Kim Heedo is now completely convinced that Lee Junsu is sus.
Of course, Sohee knew that his husband believed him.
But we have a little piece of evidence now to back up our suspicions.
"You know, I’m shocked that Lee Junsu is involved with a shady shaman," Sohee said while combing his fingers through Kim Heedo’s hair. His husband was using his lap as a pillow. They plopped down on the sofa as soon as they got home. "But I’m even more shocked that those shamans really have power over us."
He couldn’t dismiss the influence of these shamans.
After all, I got married to Heedo because of Shaman Jung.
But he just realized how influential those shamans were to have prominent people in the palm of their hands.
That’s just... wow.
"Hyung, should we confront them?"
"About what?"
"About... their bad deeds?"
Sohee chuckled while shaking his head. "Oh, my sweet summer child."
"I’m not your child, Hyung," Kim Heedo said, frowning. "I’m your husband whose job is to put a child in you."
"Yah!"
"You started it, Hyung~"
"I’m just saying you’re quite naïve, Heedo-ya," Sohee said, shrugging. "We don’t confront our enemies when we don’t have solid evidence yet because it only gives them the chance to deny everything. So, we need to wait first."
Fortunately, they didn’t have to wait for long.

"BYEOL SUNBAE is just a distributor— the dealer is his cousin. I saw his contact list once, and I think his cousin’s name is Jin Taewook. I remember because, well, I thought we could go directly to that person instead of working with Byeol Sunbae who’s leaving this business now."
"Shh! Don’t say that name again!"
"Why, Woong-ah? Is that person really a Korean mafia?"
"No, but that hyung-nim is living a "normal" life as an idol."
"An idol? Who... hey!"
"What? Why?"
"Go Gunjoon, that bastard! He was listening to our conversation!"
"Ah, dammit! Chase that punk!"
Sohee gulped hard after hearing the recording that ended when Go Gunjoon was chased by his schoolmates.
Kim Heedo also looked shocked by what they had heard.
Only Go Gunjoon— who was busy admiring the new smartphone, laptop, and computer tablet that they bought for him— didn’t care about the recording.
That wasn’t the case for Sohee and Kim Heedo.
"Jung Byeol only has one idol cousin," Kim Heedo said, gulping hard. "That means Sanha..."
"Yep," Sohee said while nodding. "Now we have a reason to confront them."
Sohee felt like they were getting closer and closer to the truth.
However, he was still wondering about one thing.
Hmm...
I wonder how Lee Junsu is involved in all of this.
